(Minghui.org) Mr. Long Guande, a former project contractor and Falun Gong practitioner in Zhuhai, Guangdong has been illegally detained in a special ward of Sihui Prison, Guangdong Province where he suffers severe abuse. It has been reported that Long Guande resisted being transformed, thus officials from the prison recently deprived him of his right to have visitors.
On March 2, 2012, Long Guande's oldest brother, second brother and nephew visited him. They had not seen him for many months. They completed the required procedures and were on their way to the prison district. Upon arrival, police officer Li from the brainwashing center denied them visitation, claiming that Long Guande did not want to see anyone in his family. This claim was so absurd that his family members went to the political section of the prison and the 610 Office and requested an explanation. A police officer said, “Long Guande did not cooperate in the process of being transformed, and having his family visit him, could affect this transformation process,” and so on. His family pointed out that practicing Falun Gong made him a good person; it does not break the law. However, forceful “transformation” is a crime, and visitation rights can't be denied. The police could not come up with an argument, but said: “We will not let you in. There is no need for an explanation.” Several days later, other family members of Long Guande tried to visit him, but were also rejected.
Long Guande used to be a project contractor. He became healthier and improved his moral character as a result of practicing Falun Gong. When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched its persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, officials from the Public Security Bureau in Guangdong Province issued an arrest warrant for Long Guande.
In September 2007, Long was violently arrested in Dongguan by police officers from the Public Security Bureau of Guangdong Province. They broke many of his ribs during torture in the detention center in Guangzhou. After he had been tortured, he spit blood and had blood in his stool. He was in critical condition, yet the police repeatedly delayed his release.
In 2008, Long Guande was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment and detained in Sihui Prison, which is known as the most vicious prison in Guangdong. He is currently being detained in an extremely evil special ward of the prison. It has been reported that evildoers tortured him day and night, but he refused to be “transformed.”
Informed sources revealed that officials of the Sihui Prison have been using various brutal means in attempt to “transform” Falun Gong practitioners, and Long Guande has been under “strict control.” His family is very worried about his safety, and are calling on people to help rescue him.
