(Minghui.org) Shandong First Prison (also known as Jinan Prison for Men), located on South Gongye Road, Licheng District, Jinan City, is notorious for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners—especially Ward 11. Most practitioners in this prison have been tortured. In 2011, eight practitioners were tortured to death there, including Lu Zhen (from Mengyin), Qian Zhongcai (from Qingdao), and Wang Xinbo (from Zibo).
Officer Chen Yan, Deputy Ward Head, is responsible for persecuting Dafa practitioners.
Li Wei, political instructor, planned the methods used to persecute practitioners.
Zhang Lijun and Deng Aidong used inmates to monitor and torture practitioners. Some of the torture methods include the following.
1. Rotating a toothbrush between a practitioner's fingers while tightly holding the fingers together. Follow this link to see a reenactment:
2. Repeatedly rolling a rolling-pin over a practitioner's calf muscle until it is bruised or the skin is torn.
3. Any practitioners on a hunger strike had crushed garlic forced into their stomachs through a rubber hose inserted in the mouth or the nose—inserted with a lot of force and without much skill. Follow this link to see a reenactment of this brutality:
4. Using a needle to puncture sensitive parts of the body, including under the toenails.
5. Beating practitioners with wet rope, wooden sticks, or the sole of a shoe. Also using fists or legs to strike various parts of the practitioner's body or face. An example of many people beating a practitioner is shown on the following website.
6. Preventing practitioners from eating or sleeping.
On June 15, 2009 Dafa practitioner Lu Zhen was taken to the “25 group” to be persecuted. Inmates (Zhou Changjiu, Xie Xiaogang, Li Dapeng, Cai Kejie, Li Hongxiang, Li Peng, Zhang Dengyun, Zhou Yunlong, and Qu Hengxue) ganged up to torture Lu. Even so, Lu did not give up his practice. In the evening of June 20, 2009 they hung Lu upside down over his bed. Lu died the next day. Those planning to harm Lu include police officers, Zhang Leiguang (he was the Ward Head for the Eleventh District, now he is the Head of the Education Ward ), Li Wei, and Chen Yan. The inmates committing the tortures include Han Xiaolei, Yao Yunxia, Zhang Dianlong, and Zhou Changjiu.
