Additional Persecution News from China – March 3, 2012 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, five practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jianshanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Xiaoyan Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yu Xiaoyan, an employee of Qianfeng Farms, Jianshanjiang Farms Management Bureau, was arrested at work on the morning of February 29, 2012, by officers from the Qianfeng Farm Police Sub-bureau. She was taken to the Qinglongshan Brainwashing Center.

2. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Liguang Detained

Mr. Ma Liguang was arrested while speaking with people about Falun Gong on March 2, 2012. He is being held at the Jinzhou Detention Center.

3. [Huaiyang County, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Liu's Family of Seven Arrested

Approximately a dozen officers from the Huaiyang County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Yang Liu's home in Dongying Village, Doumen Town, Huaiyang County on the evening of February 29, 2012. They pulled down part of the courtyard wall and ransacked her place. The police confiscated several electronic devices, Falun Dafa books, MP3 and MP5 players, and other personal belongings. They also took more than 40,000 yuan in cash. Seven people were arrested, including Ms. Yang Liu, her younger brother Mr. Yang Chao, her child, her sister, her brother-in-law, and two of her sister's children. The police also took more than 20,000 yuan in cash from Ms. Yang's elder brother's home.

4. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Wang Qiong Arrested

Ms. Wang Qiong was arrested while speaking with people about Falun Gong on February 27, 2012, in front of the Hongfu Supermarket on Taihu Road.

5. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Jinghui Detained

Ms. Gao Jinghui, a nurse at Renqiu Hospital, was arrested on the morning of March 2, 2012, at the hospital by officers from the Renqiu Police Department and the Downtown Police Sub-bureau. She is being held at the Renqiu Detention Center.

6. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Haixia Arrested

Ms. Liu Haixia, who lives in Shangjipu Village, Xiaocun Town, Dingxing County, was arrested on the afternoon of March 1, 2012, by officers from the Dingxing County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division. Her home was ransacked and her current whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Sun Tao and Ms. Qi Guoqin Taken into Custody

Mr. Sun Tao and Ms. Qi Guoqin were arrested and taken to the Donghuan Police Station in the Yuhua District.

8. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jinying Detained

Ms. Wang Jinying was arrested at home on March 1, 2012, by officers from the Rencheng District Police Department and the Liying Town Police Station. She is being held at the Jining Detention Center.

9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Li Yuzhi, Ms. Yang Lirong and Ms. Zhang Cuimin Arrested

Ms. Li Yuzhi was arrested by officers from the Songshan District Domestic Security Division on February 29, 2012, for speaking with people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and even confiscated a satellite dish. In the afternoon, her daughter Ms. Yang Lirong and another practitioner Ms. Zhang Cuimin were arrested. The three practitioners are being held at the Songshan District Detention Center.

10. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Fengyun Arrested

Ms. Wang Fengyun, 52, lives in Hanjia Village, Jixia Sub-district, Linzi District, Zibo City. On the morning of February 29, 2012, Ms. Wang was arrested by officers from the Linzi District Police department. Her home was later ransacked and she is being detained at a guest house.

11. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Yushu Held at the Fengrun Detention Center

Mr. Li Yushu and Ms. Yang Guoli were followed and arrested on the morning of February 25, 2012. In the afternoon, officers from Tangshan and the Tuanjie Road Police Station ransacked Mr. Li's home and confiscated five computers, several printers, and other personal belongings. The police also arrested Mr. Li's wife Ms. Wang Rui. Ms. Wang was released that night. Mr. Li is currently being held at the Fengrun Detention Center.

12. [Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xu Huifang Detained

Ms. Xu Huifeng, 69, was arrested on the morning of February 3, 2012, by Yintai police officers, for speaking with people about Falun Gong and distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The police ransacked her home and confiscated disks, an MP5 player, and a lot of informational materials. Ms. Xu is being held at the Wang District Detention Center.

Ms. Xu's daughter, Ms. Liu Chunhua was sentenced to two and a half years in 2002. Ms. Liu was later injected with unknown drugs and suffered a mental collapse. She is hospitalized in the Tongchuan Mental Hospital. Last Summer, Ms. Liu's father suffered hydrocephalus (water on the brain) due to beatings by police officers. He was hospitalized for a long period of time.

13. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cai Yuechan and Ms. Cai Yuchang Still Detained

Ms. Cai Yuechan and Ms. Cai Yuchang have been held at the Koupu Detention Center since they were arrested on December 4, 2012 by officers from the Outing Police Station. They have recently been locked in solitary confinement and subjected to brutal brainwashing sessions.

14. [Hepu County, Guangxi Province] Ms. Zeng Jialan and Ms. Pei Arrested

Ms. Zeng Jialan and Ms. Pei went to the countryside to distribute Falun Gong informational flyers on February 29, 2012, and were arrested by officers from the Qingjiang Police Station. They are being held at the Qingjiang Police Station.
