Additional Persecution News from China – March 8, 2012 (21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 9 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Additional Information on Ms. Wu Jiajun's Arrest

On the night of February 28, 2012, a few people from the Laizhou City 610 Office went to Mr. Wu Jiajun's home in Wujiazhuangzi Village, Xiyou Town, and confiscated eight printers, two computers, three cell phones, DVD burners, laminators, over 30 Dafa books, a set of Fa lecture DVDs, a set of Fa lecture tapes, and over 30 truth-clarifying DVDs. They arrested him and took him to the Dianzi Brainwashing Center.

On the afternoon of March 1, 2012, Mr. Wang Tan from Zhuanghe City, Dalian City, was clarifying the truth when he was arrested and taken to the Xinhua Detention Center, Zhuanghe City. He is now being held at the Yaojia Detention Center, Dalian City.

On February 28, 2012, Mr. Cao Huaming from Fuxingxin Village in the Jianghan District, Wuhan City, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division, Jianghan Police Department. All his Dafa books, computers, and cell phones were confiscated. He is now being held at the Erdaopeng Brainwashing Center in the Jianghan District.

5. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Jinhua and Ms. Cheng Yulan Arrested

On the night of February 29, 2012, Liu Yubao, director of the Jianguo Township Police Station, Dongfeng District, Jiamusi City, stormed into Ms. Cheng Yulan's home and confiscated a computer, printer, Dafa books, 500 yuan cash, and other items.

On the morning of March 6, 2012, officers from the Jianguo Township Police Station stormed into Ms. Zhang Jinhua's home. They confiscated truth-clarifying bills totaling 600 yuan, truth-clarifying DVDs and materials, a computer, etc. They also arrested Ms. Zhang. She is being held at the Jiamusi City Detention Center.

On the afternoon of March 6, 2012, Ms. Chang Jizhen from East Jiuzhai Village, Qumo Township, was arrested by officers from the Yongnian County Domestic Security Division. The computer at her home was confiscated. She is currently being held at the Yongnian County Police Department.

On the afternoon of March 6, 2012, Ms. Li Shuzhen from the No 5-6 District, Yichun City, was reported and arrested when she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs. Her home was ransacked.

8. [Beijing] Additional Information on Ms. Liu Guilian

Ms. Liu Guilian, a retired employee of the Longjian Group Co., Fangshan District, Beijing, was sentenced to two years of forced labor for distributing truth-clarifying materials. In October, 2010, she was arrested and is currently being held at the Daxing Forced Labor Camp.

9. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Fucai Arrested

On March 5, 2012, officers from the Zhangwei Police Station went to Mr. Liu Fucai's home and confiscated Dafa books. His whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Arrested

On March 4, 2012, Ms. Zhang (first name unknown), 48, was on a train from Qiqihar City to Beijing. When she was reading a truth-clarifying brochure, the staff on the train noticed it and confiscated all her personal items, including Dafa books, DVDs, her computer, etc. She was arrested and taken to the Qiqihar City Railway Police Department.

On February 28, 2012, when Mr. Yang Heping was clarifying the truth in Modaohe Village, Huairen County, he was reported. He is being held at the the Huairen County Detention Center.

On the afternoon of March 5, 2012, officers from the Guangzhou City 610 Office, went to Zhaoqing City to arrest Ms. Li Ruqin, the president of the factory and all the employees.

13. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Additional information on the Arrest of Ms. Zhang Jinxiu

On the afternoon of February 10, 2012, Ms. Zhang Jinxiu, a practitioner in Nanchang City, was reported when she was clarifying the truth. She was arrested and her home was ransacked. After she was detained for 15 days, she was sentenced to one and a half years in prison. She is now in the Jiangxi Province Woman’s Prison.

On the afternoon of March 7, 2012, over ten officers from the Laizhou City 610 Office went to Ms. Li Hongyan's store at Xinchengjinkuang to arrest her. Her computer, printer, and other personal items were confiscated.

On March 3, 2012, Mr. Wang Jinmian from Xinzhuang Village, Nanwangzhuang Township, Anping County, Hebei Province, and Mr. Zhu Huiyan from Yeying Village went to Tangfeng Township to clarify the truth and were arrested. They are being held at the Shenzhen City Detention Center.

On March 7, 2012, Ms. Zhang Guirong from Zifang Village, Xianshan County, Cangzhou City, went to a market in Mengdian Township. She was arrested by officers from the Mengdian Township Police Station and her home was ransacked.

On February 14, 2012, when Ms. Zhang Xiaomei went to the Fangzhicheng Police Station to ask them to return her copy of Zhuan Falun that they had confiscated, she was arrested. She is being held in the Baqiao District Detention Center.

On the morning of March 6, 2012, when Ms. Shi Chunting from Dongchangfuqu, Liaocheng City, was distributing truth-clarifying materials at Dahua Market, she was arrested by plainclothes agents from the Huxi Police Station and the Dahua Neighborhood Administration Committee. She is being held in the Dongchangfuqu 610 Brainwashing Center.

21. [Dianbai County, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Qingwei and Ms. Mai Weilian Arrested and Taken to Prison

On the night of August 6, 2011, Mr. Liu Qingwei and Ms. Mai Weilian from Dianbai County were arrested by police officers, including Xiao Xiong, chief of the Dianbai County 610 Office, and taken to the Hexi Jidong Middle Team Brainwashing Center in Maoming City. They were later transferred to the Dianbai First Detention Center.

On December 12, 2011, there was a secret trial in the Dianbai County Court. One was sentenced to four years in prison and the other three years in prison. Mr. Liu Qingwei was taken to Yangjiang Prison, Guangdong Province. Ms. Mai Weilian was taken to the No. 4 Ward, Guangdong Province Women's Prison, on January 12, 2012. During the time when they were held, Mr. Liu Qingwei and Ms. Mai Weilian developed severe diseases as the result of persecution.
