Additional Persecution News from China – April 17, 2012 (Part II) (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) The news from China in this article includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in five provinces. As per this report, four Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.

3. [Duyun City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Zheng Gang Arrested

The police broke into Mr. Zheng Gang’s rented residence in Guiyang City on the evening of April 12, 2012. They ransacked his home and sent him to a detention center in Guiyang.

4. [Chongqing] Ms. Yuan Suzhen Arrested at Shuijing Park on the Morning of April 16, 2012

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Na Ziping and Ms. Xia Chengmin Arrested

Ertaizi Police Station officials arrested Ms. Na Ziping and Ms. Xia Chengmin from the Dadong District when they distributed Shen Yun CDs on Dadong Square on April 14, 2012. The two practitioners were sent to the Zaohua Detention Center the following day. The police found Ms. Na’s home address on an electricity bill in her bag. They subsequently ransacked her home and took away her Falun Gong materials and computers.

6. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners, Including Ms. Liu Huali, Arrested

Tiedong Police Department officials arrested Ms. Liu Huali, Mr. Guo Chuanjiang, Mr. Cai Hongbo and Mr. Zhang Xiaoquan at Mr. Cai’s home on April 15, 2012.

7. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bai Jingyan Arrested

Yangmu Township Police Station officials arrested Ms. Bai Jingyan at her home in Yangmu Township, the Qinghe District. She is currently held in the Tiexi District Detention Center.

8. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qiu Xiuhua’s Family of Three Arrested

Haizhou Police Department officials broke into Ms. Qiu Xiuhua’s home in the Dizhidui Residential Community and arrested her and two of her family members on the morning of April 16, 2012. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Linzi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Yuwu and His Wife Ms. Xi Liangfeng Arrested

Officials from the Linzi Domestic Security Division and the Linzi 610 Office broke into Mr. Zhu Yuwu’s home in Wangzhu Village on the evening of April 12, 2012. They arrested him and his wife Ms. Xi Liangfeng, and also confiscated many of their personal belongings, including their computer and printer.

10. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Guiqin Arrested

Xiaosiping Town Police Station officials arrested Ms. Li Guiqin from Xiaosiping Town when she distributed truth-clarifying materials on April 12, 2012. She is currently held in the Liaoyuan City Detention Center.

11. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gui Ling Arrested

Ms. Gui Ling, wife of Mr. Wang Hongchao from Xu Village, Ganguantun Township, was arrested by Guan County police on April 10, 2012. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Wang was arrested on July 26, 2008, and was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment on March 4, 2009.

12. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Guozhi Detained in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp

13. [Xiangtan County, Hunan Province] Ms. Luo Xuemei Arrested

Ms. Luo Xuemei, in her 60s, was arrested when she told people the facts about Falun Gong in a supermarket on the evening of April 10, 2012. She is currently held in the Jintangwan Detention Center in Xiangtan.

14. [Huimin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhen Na Arrested

Lizhuang Town Police Station officials arrested Ms. Zhen Na from Lizhuang Town when she informed people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of April 14, 2012. She is currently held in the Huimin County Detention Center.

15. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Including Ms. Sun Hua Arrested

Beijingzi Police Station officials arrested Ms. Sun Hua and two other practitioners from Shuangshanzi Village, Majiadian Town on the afternoon of April 14, 2012. The practitioners are currently held in the Baifangzi Detention Center in Dandong City.
