Jilin Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested and Sentenced to Prison

(Minghui.org) Domestic Security Police from Dehui City broke into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lin Xiaoming’s home on April 14, 2011 and illegally arrested Lin Xiaoming and Xu Zhaorui. They later arrested practitioners Ms. Sun Liqing and Mr. Wang Yunliang. Mr. Wang was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor, and has since been released. Lin Xiaoming received a three-year prison sentence, and remains in Shiling Prison in Siping City. Xu Zhaorui is still detained at Fenjin Forced Labor Camp in Changchun. Ms. Sun Liqing was subjected to two years of forced labor and is being held at Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun.

Mr. Wang Yunliang Tortured by Police

Officers Ge Xuquan, Lou Xingyan, and Wang handcuffed and drove Mr. Wang Yunliang to the Dehui Police Department in the evening, where Wang Yunliang was ordered to reveal his name and address. He refused. The officers dragged him out of the car, pushed him to the ground, and kicked his head. They also grabbed his legs and dragged him several meters. They then took Mr. Wang to an interrogation room and tied him to a tiger bench. His arms were cuffed and stretched backward. An officer held the handcuffs downward with his foot so they cut into his wrists, causing extreme pain.

The officers also dumped a bottle of cold water down his torso and demanded that he reveal other practitioners’ names, but he refused. They kept him on the tiger bench for over two hours. When he was finally removed from the bench, his whole body was shaking excessively from the cold and pain.

To vent their frustration, the officers slapped his face more than twenty times. One side of his face was badly bruised, with the skin peeling off. His other cheek was swollen. He was sent to the Dehui Detention Center. Mr. Wang was later sent to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp for one year. He returned home on March 15, 2012.

Back in 2000, Wang Yunliang was arrested by police and sent to Jiutai Forced Labor Camp for one year. After he was released, his family moved to a rental home in Dehui City to avoid police harassment. He made a meager living by driving a tricycle to sell merchandise.

Mr. Wang’s and his wife have two school-aged children, and his wife is in poor health The family has been living in poverty for years. When he was sent to the labor camp, their already dire situation became worse.

Lin Xiaoming Illegally Sentenced to a Three-Year Prison Term

When Mr. Lin was arrested on April 14, 2011, his computer and printer were confiscated by the police. The police did not inform his parents about their son’s whereabouts for a long time. Lin Xiaoming lived with his parents, and with their son missing, the elderly parents have been facing extreme hardship.

It recently became clear that Lin Xiaoming had received a three-year sentence. He is at Shiling Prison.

Xu Zhaorui Abducted and Sent to Fenjin Forced Labor Camp

When Xu Zhaorui, a practitioner from Nongan City, was arrested on April 14, 2011, he was sent to a temporary detention house. He escaped on April 21, 2011, but was arrested again a few weeks later in Changchun. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor and sent to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp. On August 18, 2011, Xu Zhaorui and Jiang Yan from Dehui were transferred to Fenjin Forced Labor Camp in Changchun.
