(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Ling is a retired staff member of the Kunming Local Produce Company in Yunnan Province. At the age of nine months she contracted polio, and the effects of this disease followed her to middle age. She started Falun Gong practice in April 1997. Shortly afterwards, all signs of illness disappeared.

After July 20 1999, Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution of Falun Gong this disabled woman experienced several abductions and incarcerations at the Yunnan No. 2 Women's Prison for seven years, including forced labor. In October 2011, Ms. Guo was diagnosed with femoral head necrosis and was bailed out for medical treatment. CCP personnel still closely monitored her. The following is Ms. Guo’s story of her 12 years of persecution.

Acquiring Dafa saved me from illness

When I was nine months old I had a very high fever and developed polio. When I was 20 years old I had multiple illnesses: a tumor in my brain, boils in my ears, rhinitis in my nose, an oral cavity ulcer, and cervical vertebra ossein proliferation. Every joint was unbearably painful. Three months after my daughter's birth I suffered from a urinary tract infection and frequent bloody stool. All treatments I tried failed.

One day in April 1997, an older neighbor brought me a copy of Zhuan Falun. When I opened the book I found that Master Li's photo seemed familiar.

I finished reading Zhuan Falun in three days. That neighbor took me to the home of an assistant, and I received the books Zhuan Falun, Zhuan Falun Volume II, and Explaining the Content of Falun Dafa. Shortly after that we established a practice site at my home. We practiced the exercises in the yard in the morning and read the Fa in the evening. There were five to six practitioners initially. Then it extended to more than 20 practitioners. Just one month after establishing the practice site I excreted a substantial amount of blood and pus. Since then, all of my illnesses except some polio sequelae were gone.

Persecuted Repeatedly

1. Repeatedly arrested and the family's property seized at the beginning of the persecution

On July 20, 1999 the communist regime started persecuting Falun Gong. One day in September, Baiyi police station head Jiang Shaowen came to my home and forced me to hand in my five books. In December, Yang Lingxiao, the party head of the company where I worked, accompanied by the head of the security section and others, came to my home and forced me to write a “guarantee statement.”

On January 15, 2000 of the Lunar calendar, I practiced the Falun Gong meditation at Qinglongtan in Songming County. Police station head Jiang Shaowen led dozens of officers to surround me and took away my audio tapes and tape-player. They ordered me to go to the Baiyi police station that afternoon. Jiang Shaowen interrogated me. A month later I was sent to the detention center for 15 days.

In the summer of 2000 I had been helping my sister at a bicycle pavilion. Around 1:00 p.m., three plainclothes officers came to my place of employment and ordered me to go with them. I refused. They went into my room and scrounged around. They took away dozens of Dafa books, a recorder, Fa-lectures and other things, including more than 900 yuan in cash.

After that, the police took me to the Wuhua District police department. A section head interrogated me until after 11:00 p.m. The police took me to a hospital for a physical examination and then sent me to the Wuhua Detention Center.

About one month later the police transferred me from the detention center to the Yunan Women's Forced Labor Camp. I was sentenced to one year. Because I am disabled, the labor camp officials refused to accept me, and I was sent home.

Around 9:00 a.m. on July 22, 2002, I was at my younger sister’s bicycle pavilion. Numerous police officers turned the pavilion upside down. They took away Dafa books, exercises tapes, truth materials, 1000 yuan in cash, and other personal belongings. They took me to my mother’s home and searched her place. My stunned mom was in her 70s.

Around noon this gang came to my home. My husband and daughter were terrified and did not dare to talk to me. They took away my pictures of Master Li and Dafa books.

After leaving my home at Kunming, they took me to Baiyi and confiscated my property. They took away more than 40 books, truth materials, exercises tapes and a recorder.

Then they held me in a small, gloomy room at the police station and detained me until the next morning. Feng Jun from the Domestic Security Division and three other officers sent me to the Kunming No. 2 Detention Center, where I was held for about eight months.

2. Sentenced to Seven Years of Imprisonment

At the beginning of 2003, a Songming County Court put me on trial and sentenced me to seven years of imprisonment.

In March 2003, I was sent to the Yunnan No. 2 Women's Prison. Three criminals monitored me around the clock. Each morning the guards forced me to read slanderous books. I was forced to do slave labor in the afternoon. When I refused to join in slave labor, Zhao Xiaoxia and Huang Fang from the fourth supervising section would put me into a solitary confinement cell. I was given thin bedding at 11:00 p.m. that would be taken away at 6:00 a.m. I could only sit there. I was held there for about 10 days.

Less than two months later, I was put into a solitary cell a second time, for about two months. The third time was after the January 2004 lunar new year. Guard Liu Yan in the sixth ward asked eight criminals to take me to the confinement cell. That day it snowed heavily. I went on a hunger strike. Four days later, several criminals dragged me to the prison hospital. They tied up my hands and feet. Prison head Yang Xiaoping ordered criminal Li Wenqiong to hold my head down, and Chen Juying to hold down my hands. Doctor Xie Yimei started to insert the stomach tube into my nose. My nose was bleeding. After the force-feeding I was sent back to the confinement cell. This time I stayed there about two months.

In March 2005, I was put into the solitary confinement cell again and was let out two months later. They sent me to the ward that detained elderly and disabled people. Guard Liu Yan forced me to write a daily “reflection report.” I was released on February 23, 2008.

3. Sentenced to Four Years of Imprisonment

On January 15, 2009 while handing out Falun Gong booklets in Kunming, two officers from Daguan Police Station arrested me. Wuhua National Security team officer Ma Bin interrogated me. He confiscated the truth-clarifying materials I had with me, my cell phone, mp3 player and more than 2,400 yuan cash. That night I was sent to the Wuhua Detention Center and held there for more than seven months.

In June 2009, a Kunming Intermediate Court opened a covert trial. I received the court statement in August that I was sentenced to four more years in prison.

4. Abuse in prison led to femoral head necrosis

I was sent to the Yunnan No. 2 Women's Prison on September 8, 2009. As soon as I arrived, I was forced to sit on a small stool from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and was forbidden to move or change positions. The jail hospital diagnosed me with femoral head necrosis in June 2011. A back injury in August prevented me from moving. Prison officials released me on bail so I could seek medical treatment.

5. Harassed by community personnel when home again

Since being home I have been bedridden. Yan Hao from the Taoyuan District called my husband and ordered him to register at her place every week. Li Xinhua from the Gulou Police Station called my husband and ordered him to register monthly at his office. My husband couldn't take so much pressure, so in November 2011, with no choice, he divorced me.

In all these years I was deprived of freedom, the police often harassed my husband and daughter at home. When I got back home this time, I was almost completely paralyzed because of the abuse. Just like this, a once happy family was torn apart.
