Looking Back Ten Years: Two Reports from the Minghui Website Predicted That There Would Be a Staged Self-Immolation Incident
This article was first published in February 2011.
On the tenth anniversary of the CCP-staged Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation incident, many kindhearted people inside and outside Mainland China wrote articles to disclose this shocking crime. A Falun Gong practitioner found two pieces of news regarding the CCP's intention to use “Self-Immolation” to defame Falun Gong. They were published on the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom) before the incident. The two articles disclosed the insidiousness of CCP's intention to defame Falun Gong. They also show the true position of Falun Gong practitioners toward self-immolation.
The Minghui website is the overseas information source most frequently blocked by the CCP. Since the Minghui website started in June 1999, it has reported on and documented a wealth of information and facts related to Falun Gong and the persecution. Since the CCP began the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, the Minghui website has published a huge amount of first hand evidence and reports of practitioners inside Mainland China being persecuted. Minghui also exposed the lies published by China's state-run media and disclosed countless facts covered up by CCP propaganda. It also has carried many reports of how Falun Gong has spread to many counties around the world, and published experience sharing and other articles by practitioners from all walks of life and corners of the world.
The Minghui reports show the position of Falun Gong practitioners towards self-immolation. The website declared its position regarding self-immolation before the staged Tiananmen Square incident ever occurred. Here are the two reports.
A report in Mainland China News Summary on October 11, 2000:(http://www.minghui.org/mh/articles/2000/10/11/1079.html)
(Mainland China) Inside resource: Evil force plans to stage Self-Immolation
According to a 610 Office inside source, evil forces plan to set practitioners on fire to stage a “Self-Immolation incident” to defame Falun Gong. We hope practitioners from Mainland China pay attention to this issue.
A report regarding Self-Immolation in Mainland China News Summary on December 13, 2000 (http://www.minghui.org/mh/articles/2000/12/13/4411.html):
Be careful of police pretending to be Falun Gong practitioners; Their intent is to damage Falun Gong
A practitioner who knows police tactics very well said, "Policeman who pretend to be Falun Gong practitioners contact Falun Gong practitioners and organize practitioners to share experiences in order to arrest those practitioners. There are policemen who pretend to be Falun Gong practitioners by reciting Hong Yin on Tiananmen Square to attract practitioners. According to a police source, they can capture a lot of practitioners at once by doing this.
Another practitioner learned from a family member that the announcement "Police officers who will pretend to be Falun Gong practitioners assemble" was broadcast one morning at four or five a.m. in a residential area. It was repeated several times.
We hope practitioners are alert as they validate the Fa and clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Recently, CCP sources have been saying that "Many Falun Gong practitioners will go to Tiananmen Square for Self-Immolation at some time." Practitioners need to pay attention to this.
Although neither report is long, and they were two months apart, they both show preparation for the "Self-Immolation" incident. The reports pointed out that the source was the 610 Offices and police who target Falun Gong practitioners. Connecting the two reports with the staged Tiananmen Square Self-immolation Incident, the timing is very close. The staged self-immolation happened on January 23, 2001, 42 days after the last report, so the information from CCP insiders was not groundless. The CCP was already preparing for what proved to be an extremely effective propaganda stunt.
The source of the second report source was probably from Beijing. In the report it says, "Another practitioner learned from her family member that the announcement of 'Policeman who pretend to be Falun Gong practitioners assemble' was broadcast one morning at four or five a.m. in a residential area where policemen live. It was repeated several times." Although spies from various areas in Mainland China pretend to be Falun Gong practitioners, only in Beijing can they can take action at four or five o'clock in the morning. The target very likely was Tiananmen Square.
The reports show how Falun Gong practitioners regard self-immolation. They are against any form of self-immolation They already see through the CCP's evil intention to use extreme events to defame Falun Gong. The first report, especially, gave advance notice of the CCP's evil intention.
The two reports were published on the Minghui website before the staged self-immolation. It brought out two issues: first, Falun Gong is against self-immolation; second, the CCP were preparing to use self-immolation to defame Falun Gong.
Those two reports are in-line with information given by Lin Chunshui, a leader of the China Democracy Party inside China. He said a high ranking official from the Ministry of Public Security of China told him that Wang Jingdong immolated himself on December 23, but Jia Chunwang (who was a chief of the Ministry of State Security) knew about it on December 22. In the conference of Commission of Politics and Law of the CPC Central Committee, Luo Gan, former Political and Legislative Affairs Committee secretary of the People's Republic of China, said, "If Wang Jingdong had not self immolated, then Zhang Jingdong or Li Jingdong would come out to self immolate." So early leaks about the news of the incident show that the Tiananmen self-immolation was staged by the CCP with the intention of defaming Falun Gong.
Before the staged self-immolation, quite a few people inside the CCP already knew it would happen. Falun Gong practitioners heard about it, but did not pay attention to it. They did not realize just how evil the CCP could be. For example, an article from the Minghui website on October 13, 2001, says:
"I remembered before the 2001 Chinese New Year I asked the leaders of my company for permission to visit my parents to spend Chinese New Year with them. They told me clearly that Falun Gong practitioners would self immolate at Tiananmen Square during Chinese New Year, so I could not go and would have to report to my superior. I said it was impossible, that Falun Gong practitioners would not do such a thing. I asked them where they learned this. They said their superior had told them, and their superior had learned it at a conference: 'Beijing tells [companies] to strictly control Falun Gong practitioners going out and do not allow Falun Gong practitioners from their company to go to Beijing for self-immolation.' If the CCP did not stage the self-immolation, how could it broadcast the news from one level to another before it happened. They knew a self-immolation event was predicted on the eve of the Chinese New Year, and if they had wanted to prevent it, they could have easily blocked anyone from entering Tiananmen Square. How could a 'Self-Immolation' even happen? The only explanation is that the CCP planned it to defame Falun Gong in order to incite people's hatred of Falun Gong. They preyed on people that did not know the truth of Falun Gong to persecute Falun Gong and fool the people."
The day when the truth of Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation will be completely revealed is not far off. With increasing numbers of people quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the CCP is close to dissolving. By then the self-immolation incident will be easily exposed, because the leads all point to the CCP's high levels.
