Mr. Fu Chengyou from Yingkou City, Liaoning Province Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Fu Chengyou was illegally sentenced to seven years' imprisonment by officials at the Yingkou City Bayuquan District Court. He is currently detained in Bayuquan District Detention Center (No. 3 Detention Center) in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province.

Ever since Mr. Fu began practicing Falun Gong, he has followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He became more considerate and kinder. He also stopped drinking and smoking. However, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) harasses, monitors, detains and tortures him because of his firm belief in Falun Gong. In order to avoid further persecution, he was forced to become homeless for many years. It wasn't until early 2012 that Mr. Fu's family knew of his whereabouts, after he called a relative to relay a message to his son to ask for blankets and clothes. He was arrested and held in the Bayuquan District Detention Center. His family has tried several times to see him at the detention center, but were turned away.

Mr. Fu in Critical Condition and Forced Into Homelessness

Mr. Fu was arrested by police officers from Nantai Police Bureau in Haicheng City, Liaoning Province on July 2, 2001 and taken to the Haicheng City Detention Center. There, he developed psoriasis and his whole body became swollen due to the severe torture that he underwent. His skin peeled off and emitted a strong odor. He was finally taken to Haicheng Hospital for a checkup towards the end of November 2002, and was told by the doctor that his life was in imminent danger because all five of his major organs were failing.

Officials from the local 610 Office, the Political and Legal Committee, the police bureau, and the People's Procuratorate in Anshan City and Haicheng City, Liaoning Province went to Haicheng City Detention Center to see Mr. Fu because they didn't want to take responsibility for his death. Immediately after the CCP's 16^th Congress was over, officials from the local Domestic Security Division (an organization affiliated with the 610 Office that secretly persecutes Falun Gong) notified Mr. Fu's family to pick him up.

Back home, Mr. Fu studied the Fa and did the Falun Gong exercises. His health gradually recovered about ten days later.

On December 10, 2002, Commander Wang Hongkui and Zhang Lu from Yingkou City Bayuquan District Domestic Security Division, along with several officers, went to Mr. Fu's home and tried to arrest him again. They also ransacked his home. Mr. Fu told them what he had experienced in Haicheng, how he was almost persecuted to death and was released. At the time, his legs were still swollen. Wang Hongkui then arrested Mr. Fu's wife, son and grandson. Later, they went back to arrest Mr. Fu, but he had already left home. Mr. Fu's family members were eventually released that same day.

After that, Mr. Fu became homeless. His wife, also a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested several times by officers from the Bayuquan District Police Bureau. She has since passed away as a result of persecution.

Arrested and Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Officers Zhang Ji and Liu Sen from Yingkou City Domestic Security Division went to harass Mr. Fu's son at his home on June 28, 2011. They gave him a notice issued by the Liaoning Province Supreme Court, Liaoning Province People's Procuratorate, the Liaoning Province Police Department and the Liaoning Province and Judicial Bureau so-called Notice on Urging Escaped Criminals to Voluntarily Surrender to the Court. They also asked about Mr. Fu's whereabouts, but to no avail.

Then on July 15, 2011, Hui Huaiqi, an instructor at the Bayuquan District Domestic Security Division, and a police officer went to Changjiang Road Elementary School to force assistant principal and class adviser Xu Qian to point out Mr. Fu's 9-year-old granddaughter to them. When school was over, Hui Huaiqi and the officer followed Mr. Fu's granddaughter home. When they caught up to her, she was filled with terror. Mr. Fu's grandson, who was at home, went to answer the knock at the door and became scared after seeing the police officer. As a result, he didn't dare go outside. Later, officers from the Bayuquan Police Bureau conspired with officials from the local community to arrest Mr. Fu's second son. They held him for one day and one night, and questioned him about Mr. Fu's whereabouts. Afterwards, Mr. Fu's second son became so frightened that he didn't dare to answer any phone calls.

Officers from the Dawa County Police Bureau in Panjin City arrested Mr. Fu on November 28, 2011 while he was on a business trip there. On December 2, 2011, Mr. Fu was arrested again by officers from the Yingkou City Bayuquan District Police Bureau. The Bayuquan District Court then secretly sentenced him to seven years of imprisonment.
