(Clearwisdom.net) Many Falun Gong practitioners in Anping County, Hebei Province were recently placed under surveillance. They were told that they should not go to Beijing to appeal. Four practitioners in three villages and a township had their homes ransacked on the evening of February 23, 2012.

Around 7:00 p.m. on February 23, 2012, more than a dozen people including Ma Chuang and Jia Xu from Liangwa Township government, Anping County, broke into Ms. Wang Jianmei's home in Houpu Village. They searched everywhere and took away a copy of Zhuan Falun and truth clarification materials.

Around 7:30 p.m. on February 23, the authorities broke into Ms. Shi Xiuzhi's home in Qianpu Village and took her Falun Gong books and other Falun Gong materials.

Around 7:00 p.m. on February 23, Mr. Zhao Shude's home in Zhengzhuang Village was also ransacked. More than 30 people participated.

Around 8:00 p.m. on February 23, more than a dozen people from the Liangwa Township government and Liangwa Police Station broke into Ms. Xie Xiugai's home. They rummaged through it and tore up calligraphy with the words “The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities.” They proceeded to remove the photo of Master Li and a Falun emblem. Ms. Xie tried to stop them, but they pushed her aside. Ms. Xie showed symptoms of illness, but the perpetrators didn't care and took away the photo, truth clarification materials, and cash. Through later truth clarification efforts, the authorities returned her Falun Gong books and the photo of Master Li.

Ms. Xie was previously illegally sentenced to nine years in prison, where she was subjected to severe physical abuse and mental torment. She was released from prison last fall and is now in poor health.
