Let me start by telling about my dentist. One day a fellow practitioner accompanied me to my dental office. She clarified the facts about Falun Gong and spoke of the unprecedented persecution. My dentist got very annoyed and told her to leave his premises. I protested. When the dentist asked me if I was a practitioner, I said, “Yes, I do. I once suffered a heart attack and had high blood pressure. After I started to practice Falun Gong, all those illnesses disappeared. I have not taken any medicine for more than a decade.” He quieted down and and listened to me.
I later visited this dentist several more times and kept clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. At first he appeared to be scared and reluctant to listen because of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda. Gradually he listened carefully and was impressed with what I said. One time I said to him, “Once one swears a vow, that vow will come to haunt the person at a later date. You became a member of the CCP and its affiliates and vowed to fight for it, promising it your life. When it is destroyed, you’ll be buried alongside it.” He was touched and asked me to help him quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. His mother and a young nurse agreed, too, and asked me to help them to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. All of them looked relaxed immediately. Now, whenever this dentist sees me, he is quite affectionate and calls me “Auntie” from far away, just as if he were greeting a close relative.
Besides this dentist, I had a similar experience with a vegetable salesman. This man sells his vegetables at a supermarket in my area. He often reads the truth clarifying materials about Falun Gong that I offer, so he knows that Falun Gong is not like what the CCP broadcasts. Falun Gong practitioners are the best people. They do not go after profits and always consider others first.
Every time I go to his booth to purchase some vegetables, he selects the best ones for me and offers me a discount, or at cost. Of course I decline and pay him the going price. One time I told him that it was not necessary to treat me differently and to just do business as usual. He said, “It’s you who gave me the Falun Gong materials, so I would learn the facts and find out that Falun Gong and its cultivators are good. And because I believe that Falun Gong is good, I have benefitted so much. See, my business is booming! I owe it all to you. I really need to thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
I realize that the sentient beings who have been saved by Dafa feel close to practitioners.
