(Clearwisdom.net) To carry out the persecution of Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), on June 10, 1999, established the 610 Office. This office has the power to override the laws of the nation and its constitution. It has the authority to freely use national and social resources to persecute Falun Gong. Under 610 Office direction, Falun Gong practitioners can be arrested, detained, sent to forced labor camps, and even sentenced to prison without the benefit of any legal procedures. Because of the criminal nature of the activities carried out by this office, neither its name nor its offices can be found on any official lists, including the CCP or judicial department. Although all its activities are hidden from the public just like a ghost that cannot be seen or touched, it penetrates throughout national institutions and social organizations.
The organization I worked for fired me illegally because I went to Beijing to appeal for the rights of Falun Gong. For over ten years, I have been unsuccessfully fighting with my employer over this matter. To seek legal assistance, I went to the Municipal Labor Arbitration Committee, where I was told to check with the 610 Office. Finding that the 610 Office was in the city hall building, I had to register before entering. In the column requesting which department I was going to visit, I wrote “610 Office.” When the security guard saw it, she immediately erased it. When I asked why, she said, “Are you looking for the 610 Office?” I said, “That's right.” She said, “But you cannot write '610 Office.'” When I asked why not, she said, “You're not allowed to write it in public. It does not want to be known to the public. You can write 'Political and Judicial Committee.'” As I wrote this down, I said to myself, “It seems it realizes that its own name is unpopular.”
Just then an old man wearing a police uniform sitting next to her asked, “How could you still be looking for the 610 Office?” I said, “The Arbitration Committee wanted me to check with it because of some Falun Gong policy they're not sure about.” The old man said, “Do they still have a legal policy about Falun Gong?” I said loudly, “Sir, you know that they don't have a policy about Falun Gong. Whenever they want to persecute Falun Gong, they just do as they wish.” The old man immediately stopped talking as lots of people were watching me. The door lady said, “It's okay, you can go in now.”
I spent a lot of time searching and still wasn't able to find the 610 Office. Finally, I had to ask a person in the Political and Judicial Committee, who directed me to a modest room. I knocked on the door, but there was no answer. I had to go there a few times before I found someone who said he was the office manager. I told him about my situation. He said, “As far as your job goes, it's your company's business, not ours.” I said, “You're specifically in charge of controlling Falun Gong, are you not?” He said, “The scope of control is different.” I said, “You're only in charge of persecution?” He was a little upset. As he pushed me towards the door, his eyes were on my cellphone as he said, “I'm not afraid of your recording.” I thought that he was afraid, otherwise he wouldn't have said that. In fact, I was recording.
I said, “There is no law that states that practicing Falun Gong is illegal.” I also told him what the police security and the door guard said at the front entrance. He was obviously afraid and said, “I don't want to argue with you about this. Get hold of your employer about your job. We have no authority to say who can or cannot go to work in your company. Taking legal action is all right with us.”
I was sending forth righteous thoughts while clarifying the truth to him, causing the evil elements behind him unbearable discomfort, so he didn't want me to stay a minute longer, so I left the city hall building. During my visit I was thinking that, as long as we abide by Teacher's Fa and our thoughts are upright, it is the evil that will forever feel afraid.
Later on, I chose legal action, suing my employer in court. After two court hearings, their decision was that my employer had fired me illegally because of their misunderstanding of the law. My employer finally agreed to make up my lost wages and reissue labor insurance.
