Most Recent Place of Detention:Yunnan Second Women's Prison ( 云南省第二女子监狱)
Persecution Suffered: Home ransacked, detention, illegal sentencing, imprisonment, torture, forced labor, verbal abuse
(Clearwisdom.net) On August 27, 2010, at noontime, approximately 20 officers from the Wuhua District 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division of the Wuhua Police Department, and the Daguan Police Station rushed into the home of Ms. Wu Yun and ransacked her home. The officers occupied the whole apartment. Among of them, six or seven were armed police officers equipped with machine guns and hand guns—an amazing number of armed men to deal with one unarmed woman. They ransacked her home from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., about five hours. While there, they constantly took pictures and videos. During the course of this home invasion, Ms. Wu, a Falun Gong practitioner, clarified the truth about Falun Gong and told the police that good would be rewarded with good and bad would meet with karmic retribution. She also advised the officers not to do bad things to good people who cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Finally, the police partly pushed and partly dragged Ms. Wu out of her home. On the way out, Ms. Wu shouted, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” She was then detained in the Wuhua District Detention Center for almost six months. Afterwards, she was sentenced to three years in prison and sent to the Yunnan Second Women's Prison.
Torture re-enactment: forced injection of drugs
The Yunnan Second Women's Prison forces those who just arrive at the prison to sit on small stools from 6:00 in the morning to 11:00 in the evening. People subjected to this torture are not allowed to move or change position. The guards also arrange for two prisoners to monitor every Falun Gong practitioner around the clock. Ms. Wu was transferred to another division after being treated in this way at the Ninth Prison Division. After the transfer, she was forced to do labor for 16 to 17 hours every day. Because Ms. Wu suffers from poor eyesight, she could not finish each day's work quota. As a result, she was cursed at and verbally abused. Her current situation is worrying.
