Additional Persecution News from China – November 30, 2012 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In the report, 16 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least seven practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Fengtian To Be Tried

Mr. Lu Fengtian is in his thirties. He has been held for seven months since being arrested this April. Qingzhou City Court is planning to try him.

Mr. Lu was arrested by officers from the Qingzhou City Domestic Security Division in Shandong Province on April 25, 2012. His cash and other belongings were confiscated from his residence. After being held in the Qingzhou Detention Center for seven days, he was moved to a room in the No. 2 Building in the Guashi Police District and held there for almost two months. During that period, officers from the Domestic Security Division forced Mr. Lu to sit on an iron chair around the clock, put shackles on his feet, deprived him of sleep, beat him, cursed at him, threatened him, insulted him, shocked him with electric batons, and suspended him in the air with handcuffs.

Mr. Lu was taken into the Qingzhou Detention Center on June 28. After wearing shackles for an extended period, the skin on his feet and ankles was torn and bleeding, and badly infected.

Qingzhou City Court is planning to try Mr. Lu.

2. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjing Province] Officers from Handian Town Police Station Persecute Practitioners

Six or seven officers from the Handian Town Police Station in Shuangcheng City barged into Mr. Wen Yonghua's home in Hongcheng Village, Handian Town, on the morning of November 29, 2012, and attempted to arrest Mr. Wen. The arrest failed because he was working outside at that time. Officers confiscated photos of the Falun Gong founder and many of Mr. Wen's belongings.

The same group of officers barged into the home of Ms. Zhang Guifen in Lalatun, Handian Town, that afternoon They arrested her and confiscated a lot of her belongings.

3. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Jiaying Taken to Panshan County Police Department

Ms. Qu Jiaying, from the Gaosheng Oil Extracting Factory of the Panjin Oil Fields, was taken to the Panshan County Police Department by officers from the Dahuang Police Station in Panshan County on the evening of November 29, 2012.

4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhimin Persecuted

Seven agents from the Jinzhou City 610 Office went to Goujia Village on November 26, 2012, and attempted to arrest Mr. Wang Zhimin, who had been forced to move from place to place to avoid the persecution since July of this year. They did not succeed.

5. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiang Yanyan Still Held in County Detention Center

Ms. Jiang Yanyan was arrested by officers from the Fusong County Police Department on August 29, 2012. It has been over three months, and her family is still not allowed to visit her.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Hu Yufang, 80 years old, Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Hu Yufang, 80, lives on Anyuan Road in the Putuo District, Shanghai. She was arrested by officers from the Huangpu District on the afternoon of November 29, 2012 and her home was ransacked. Her whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Fuqin, Mr. Shen Jili and His Wife Persecuted

Ms. Li Fuqin, Mr. Shen Jili, and his wife from Weifang City, were taken to the Weifang Brainwashing Center and have been persecuted there for over two weeks. They developed severe symptoms of sickness and are both in critical condition.

8. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Huang Xiaobo Arrested

Ms. Huang Xiaobo was arrested at her workplace, a store, on November 28, 2012.

9. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yue Fen and Ms. Jin Feng Arrested

Ms. Yu Fen from Gongqian Village and Ms. Jin Feng from Haoxi Village, Huzhen Town, Jinyun County, were arrested by officers from the Huzhen Town Police Station in Jinyun County for explaining the facts about Falun Gong to the public on November 24, 2012. Their homes were ransacked and they were taken to the Jinyun County Detention Center

10. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Li Wenzhi and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Li Wenzhi, his wife Ms. Ji Shurong, and their 16-year-old child from Niehudi Village, Hongmiaozi Town, Hongshan District, Chifeng City, were arrested by officers including Bu Ren from the Hongshan District Police Department on the afternoon of November 14, 2012. Many of their belongings were confiscated. The child was released after being interrogated. The couple is being held in the Hongshan District Detention Center.

11. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Yingxiu Held in Detention Center

Ms. Zhou Yingxiu was taken to the Zitong Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on October 28, 2012. Her home was ransacked. She and her husband, Mr. Yang Jianquan, were held in Zitong County for a day. Ms. Zhou is being held in the Pi County Detention Center in Chengdu City.

12. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Yanfeng Arrested

Mr. Liu Yanfeng is from Wuxue City. Officers from the Wuxue City Police Department Domestic Security Division collaborated with officers from Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, to arrest Mr. Liu Yanfeng in his relative's home. He is being held in the Wuxue City Detention Center. Family visits are not allowed.

Mr. Liu had been working in Jiujiang City for three years prior to his arrest.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Cao Chengying and Ms. Jiang Changju Detained

Ms. Cao Chengying, from the Shapingba District of Chongqing, was arrested for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in the Jiangbei District of Chongqing. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Wangxiangtai Brainwashing Center in Chongqing.

Ms. Jiang Changju, from Hualongqiao, Chongqing, is being held in the Yubei Detention Center. Her home was ransacked.

14. [Yuanling County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Li Hui, former director of the Hydroelectric Bureau in Yuanling County, Huaihua City; his wife, Ms. Xuan Hehua; Mr. Li Qingsong; and Mr. Chen, were arrested by officers from the Qingshuiping Police Station for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong in Qingshuiping Township, Yuanling County on November 28, 2012. Ms. Xuan Hehua was sent to the Yuanling County Detention Center that day. Mr. Li Hui, Mr. Li Qingsong, and Mr. Chen were sent to the Yuanling County Custody the next day.

Earlier, Ms. Xuan was sent to prison twice, for as long as eight years in total.
