(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 24 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 16 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Xu Shuijing and Mr. Chu Qihua from Dexing City were recently reported for explaining the facts about Falun Gong. Agents from the local 610 Office arrested them.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tian Taojiao Arrested by Officers from Hanyang State Security Bureau

More than 10 officers from the Hanyang Domestic Security Division and the Qinduankou Police Station recently ransacked Ms. Tian Taojiao's curtain making shop and arrested her. Over 20,000 yuan in cash that she had in preparation for her son's wedding was confiscated. The money was later returned upon demand. Ms. Tian was sent to the Sanzhigou No. 1 Detention Center in Dongxihu that afternoon and was to be held there for 10 days.

3. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Dongxian Missing for Years

Mr. Yu Dongxian, 46, was employed at the Recycling Company of Dezhou City Materials Bureau. His home was ransacked and he was sent to brainwashing centers many times by the local police station after the persecution of Falun Gong started. He went to Beijing three times in 2000 to appeal for Falun Gong. He was arrested and escorted back to Dezhou City. His employer suspended him and stopped his salary. In early 2001 he was sent to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City, Shandong Province, for a term of three years. He was released in April 2003, one year before to the end of his term, at which time his mind seemed to be wandering. In May, he suddenly went missing, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

4. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Fengzhen's Home Ransacked

Officers from the Tangdi Police Station of Anlu Police Department broke into Ms. Wang Fengzhen's home on October 23, 2012, ransacked it, and confiscated Falun Gong books and about 1,000 yuan in cash, consisting of bills with facts about Falun Gong written on them. Even locked suitcases were broken open.

5. [Inner Mongolia] Ms. Lu Lin Tortured in Tumuji Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Lu Lin from Beijing has been cursed, beaten, and shocked with electric batons in the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp since she was arrested in Beijing and transferred to the camp in June 2012. She is still tied up in a bed and is not allowed to get out of bed. Her weight has dropped from 132 pounds to 88 pounds.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Yijuan Persecuted in Jinan City Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Ma Yijuan was transferred to the Jinan City Forced Labor Camp in December 2011. She was held alone and not allowed contact with anyone else. Guards also forced her to wear a uniform and to stand for extended periods of time. If she did not report to the guards as required, she was denied use of the toilet. Again and again she was forced to watch DVDs that defamed Falun Gong.

7. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ning Shijiang, 69, Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Mr. Ning Shijiang from Rongcheng City, 69, was sentenced to four years in prison by the Rongcheng Court. He suffered from high blood pressure of over 200 and was in a dangerous condition. Although Rongcheng City Police Department authorities took him to prison twice, the prison would not admit him. He has been held in the Rongcheng City Police Department for eight months and eight days.

8. [Wanyuan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhenhua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Zhenhua from Wanyuan City was arrested on the morning of October 24, 2012. Her home was ransacked. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Aiqun and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Aiqun was arrested at home by agents from the Jiangmen City 610 Office on the morning of October 23, 2012. Mr. Feng Qifeng was arrested at work. Agents subsequently broke into Mr. Feng's home with a power drill and ransacked it. Over 30,000 yuan, a computer, and other items were confiscated. Mr. Feng's wife jumped to the ground from a window on the second floor and managed to escape. Another practitioner was also arrested

10. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tang Hengyan and Ms. Fu Suilan Arrested

More than 10 officers from the State Security Bureau 610 Office and the Huanchengnanlu Police Station in the Yanfeng District of Hengyang City barged into Ms. Tang Hengyan's home at 25 Huanchengnan on the afternoon of October 24, 2012. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong and took all the Falun Gong books. Ms. Tang and Ms. Fu Suilan, who happened to be visiting Ms. Tang, were both arrested. Officers then went to Ms. Fu's home and confiscated her computer and Falun Gong books. Ms. Tang Hengyan was released that evening. Ms. Fu Suilan was taken to the Hengyang City Detention Center.

11. [Chan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Cheng Xinguang, His Wife, and Ms. Jiang Xiuhua Arrested

Mr. Cheng Xinguang, in his 60s, is from Chengzhuang, Zhongxing Town, Chan County, Heze City. He was arrested at home by officers from the Zhongxing Town Police Station on July 25, 2012. Ms. Jiang Xiuhua, in her 50s, was arrested on the morning of July 25, 2012. Mr. Cheng's wife, also in her 60s, was arrested the following day.

All of those arrested were all taken to the Chan County Detention Center. Mr. Cheng's wife and Ms. Jiang Xiuhua were later sent to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Cheng's wife was not admitted to the camp and was released. Ms. Jiang was sent to the camp to serve an 18-month term. Mr. Cheng is still being held in the Chan County Detention Center.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Qingtao Developed Symptoms of Severe Heart Disease Due to Persecution

Mr. Liu Qingtao from Jinzhou New District, Dalian City, was arrested on July 6, 2012, by officers from the Wanli Police Station in the Development Zone of Dalian City. He has been held and persecuted in the Dalian City Development Zone Detention Center for four months. As a result, he recently developed symptoms of severe heart disease.

13. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Fengzhen Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Li Fengzhen is from the Kangdian Production Team, Beijiao Township, Chuanhui District, Zhoukou City. She was arrested at home on the morning of September 5, 2012, and her home was ransacked. Officers said that Ms. Li would be released on September 25, but when her family went to the detention center that day, they were told that Ms. Li had been sent to the Shibalihe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City to serve a one-year term.

Gao Feng, director of the Dapuhe Town Police Station; Li Junfeng; and other officers went to Ms. Yang Fengying's home in Yangwang Village on the afternoon of October 22, 2012. They confiscated an MP3 player and ordered her family not to watch New Tang Dynasty Television.

Two officers from the Changli County Domestic Security Division went to Ms. Liu Xuemei's home and harassed her on October 23, 2012. They tried to examine her computer, but Ms. Liu refused to let them.

17. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xuewen Held in Detention Center

Ms. Liu Xuewen was arrested by over 20 agents from the Zhenxing District Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the 610 Office, and the Domestic Security Division in Dandong City on the morning of September 24, 2012. Her home was ransacked and her computer and other items were confiscated. Ms. Liu is being held in the Dandong Detention Center.

Officers from the Dajie Criminal Team of the Boshan District Police Department in Zibo City arrested Ms. Zhu Zhongmei on the afternoon of October 20, 2012, and held her in the Zhangdian Detention Center.

22. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yajie from Xianfeng Village, Hada Town, Jidong County, was arrested by the Hada Police Station on the evening of October 22, 2012.

Ms. Guo Xiuhua from the Hengshan District, Jixi City, was arrested at home on October 22, 2012. She is being held in the No. 2 Detention Center.

Yu Haiying and others from the Mishan City Police Department Domestic Security Division barged into Mr. Zhang You's home in Lianzhushan Town, Mishan City, on the afternoon of October 23, 2012, took Ms. Zhang to the Mishan City Detention Center, and confiscated a computer, a printer, and other items.

Mr. Xu Hongyi from Xialiangzi Township, Jidong County, was arrested at home on October 23, 2012.

Mr. Wang Peijin from the Jidong County Great Mine was arrested at home on the afternoon of October 24, 2012.

Ms. Hao Yunzhu from Shannan in t he Hengshan District, Jixi City, was arrested by officers from the local police station on the afternoon of October 24, 2012.

23. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qi Dongling Harassed

Three agents including Zhang Fan, chief of the Taian City Running-water Corporation Political Work Section, went to Ms. Qi Dongling's home and harassed her on September 27, 2012. Ms. Qi was harassed again over the phone on October 15, 2012.

24. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sha Mingshen, His Wife, and Mr. Rong Gang Arrested

Mr. Sha Mingshen and his wife, Ms. Guo Junfen, were arrested by eight plainclothes officers from the Xiguan Police Station, who had been waiting at the door, and barged into the home when the couple's daughter opened the door. Their daughter was about to take her child to school. Officers confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Gong books, informational DVDs, and other items. About 10,000 yuan in cash that Mr. Sha Mingshen's daughter planned to use to buy a car was also confiscated. Mr. Shan and Ms. Guo were taken to the Xiguan Police Station. They were forced to undergo physical examinations and were then taken to the Gaomi City Detention Center that afternoon.

Mr. Rong Gang from Yaotou Village, Gaomi City, was also arrested by officers from the Xiguan Police Station at the same time. His home was ransacked. Mr. Rong was forced to undergo a physical examination that afternoon, and then taken to the Gaomi City Detention Center.

25. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Qiaoyun Held in Detention Center

Officers from the Meihuashan Police Station intercepted Ms. Dong Qiaoyun on her way home on the afternoon of October 24, 2012, and held her at the Meihuashan Police Station overnight. The following morning, Ms. Dong was taken to a hospital for a physical. She had high blood pressure and failed the exam. She was then taken back to the Meihuashan Police Station. That afternoon, officers took her to a newly built detention center in Jimo City.

26. [Wanyuan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhenhua and Ms. Wang Arrested by Agents from 610 Office

Ms. Zhang Zhenhua from Wanyuan City was arrested by agents from the 610 Office on October 24, 2012. Ms. Wang, about 50, was arrested at home by agents from the 610 Office on the afternoon of October 25, 2012.
