Additional Persecution News from China – November 8, 2012 (29 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 24 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 25 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 36 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Guiqing Passes Away as a Result of the Persecution

Ms. Liu Guiqing is from Hengshan Village, Yanshan Town, Fujin City. Ms. Liu's two sons' and two daughters' homes were ransacked many times. They have been detained, fired by their employers, and sentenced to forced labor since July 20, 1999.

In July 2012, her third daughter was arrested again and detained at the Hegang No.2 Detention Center. Ms. Liu went to different police departments, the local Procuratorate and court every day asking for the release of her daughter, but her requests were refused. She died on November 6, 2012 at the age of 83 due to her being mentally and physically exhausted.

Chen Xintao, head of the Yangshugou Village Security Office, and another four officers from Guangrong Police Station, went to Ms. Liu Zhen's home and arrested her. They confiscated her Dafa books and DVD player.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jin Guimei Arrested at School

Ms. Jin Guimei, a teacher at the Finance School, was arrested by plainclothes police at school on November 1, 2012.

4. [Hunchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Xilian and Ms. Huang Fulan Arrested

Ms. Li Xilian and Ms. Huang Fulan, both elderly practitioners, were arrested on November 6, 2012. Their homes were ransacked.

5. [Shanghai] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhao Xianliu from Songjiang District and Ms. Li Jing, Ms. Zhu Yumei and Mr. Lan Lizhi from the Pudong District were arrested. They are being detained on criminal charges.

6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Peng Lin and Others Arrested

Ms. Peng Lin, Mr. Chen Ruichang and Ms. Gao Suming were arrested by officers from the Yuexiu District 610 Office on November 4, 2012. Their homes were ransacked and their personal belongings were confiscated. They are being held at the Tangang Brainwashing Center in Guangzhou City.

Ms. Gao was previously arrested on April 15, 2008. She was sentenced to 18 months of forced labor in May.

8. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Over Ten Practitioners Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Over ten practitioners from Qianlianghu Town in Yueyang City were taken to a brainwashing center around November 3, 2012. They include Ms. Zhu Chunxiu, Ms. Ren Xiyun, Ms. Huang, Ms. Deng and Ms. Ou.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Associate Professor Ms. Zhang Wei Taken to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhang Wei, an associate professor from the animation department of the Wuhan Science and Technology University, was taken to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center on November 5, 2012 by officers from the Wuhan City Police Department, and staff from the security office of the Wuhan Science and Technology University.

10. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Baozhen Tried at Home

The chief judge of the criminal court at Dongchang District Court in Tonghua City, secretary Liu Baojun and another three officials, went to Ms. Liu Baozhen's home and held a trial at her home on October 7, 2012.

11. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhao Mingying and Ms. Liu Qianfeng Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhao Mingying from the Sanya Community in Xinfeng Town, Guanghan City and Ms. Liu Qianfeng from the Shunhe Village in Xinfeng were arrested on November 6, 2012 while they were clarifying the truth and have been taken to the Hexing Brainwashing Center.

12. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Peng Guangqun and Ms. Cui Yingfeng Harassed

Qin Decai and another three officers from the Binggu Town Comprehensive Management Office in Miyi County ransacked Ms. Peng Guangqun's home. They went to Ms. Cui Yingfeng's home afterwards, but Ms. Cui was not at home. They confiscated her two copies of Zhuan Falun.

13. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Information on Mr. Li Wenjun's Persecution

Officers Xu and Chuai from the Gaoxin District Police Station in Jilin City went to Mr. Li Wenjun's home to harass him on November 2, 2012, but Mr. Li was not at home. The officers then worked with the local Appeals Office and deceived Mr. Li and asked him to go to the police station, where he was then arrested. Mr. Li is being held at a brainwashing center.

14. [Dianbai County, Guangdong Province] More information on Ms. Li He, Ms. Xie Liping and Ms. Ren Sinu's Arrest

Ms. Li He, Ms. Xie Liping and Ms. Ren Sinu from Shuidong Town in Dianbai County were arrested by officers from the Gaodi Police Station on October 18, 2012. They were then taken to the Hexi Brainwashing Center in Maoming City. Ms. Ren and Ms. Xie have been transferred to the Maoming No.2 Detention Center. Mr. Li is still in the Hexi Brainwashing Center.

15. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Peng Yonggan Arrested While Clarifying the Truth in Another City

16. [Taonan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Shuchun and Others Arrested

Ms. Yu Shuchun was arrested by officers from the Taonan City Domestic Security Division on November 3, 2012.

Ms. Feng Lichun's home was ransacked by the same group of people on the same day, but Ms. Feng managed to escape. Officers arrested Ms. Feng's younger sister and confiscated their cash and belongings worth nearly 40,000 yuan.

Ms. Cui Ying and Mr. Su Ming were arrested the same day. They were released later because they failed to pass the physical exam.

17. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xudong and Her Mother Arrested

Ms. Wang Xudong, 28, from the Lubei District in Tangshan City was arrested on the afternoon of February 3, 2012, and her home was ransacked. Her two computers and Dafa books were confiscated. Her mother was arrested at her workplace the next day. Plainclothes police are monitoring the area near her home.

18. [Shanghai] Ms. Gao Qinmei Arrested

Ms. Gao Qinmei, 60, was arrested while she was taking the subway in mid-October 2012. She may be detained in the Changning District Detention Center.

19. [Shanghai] Ms. Cao Yueling Arrested and Her Home Ransacked

Ms. Cao Yueling from the Baoshan District in Shanghai was arrested by officers from the Baoshan Police Department while she was distributing truth clarification materials. Her home was ransacked and her printer, DVD player, computer, 1000 yuan cash and Dafa books were confiscated.

20. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] More Information on Mr. Ren Yulin, Ms. Chen Xiumei and Ms. Zhao Libo's Arrest

Mr. Ren Yulin was arrested by officers from the Junmin Street Police Station in Harbin City and sentenced to one year at a forced labor camp. He is currently being held in the Suihua Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Chen Xiumei was sentenced to two years of forced labor and is being held at the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Zhao Libo has been on trial and is being held at Harbin Detention Center.

21. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] More Information on Mr. Liang Jinshu and Ms. Wang Xiaoju's Arrest

Mr. Liang Jinshu from Luobei County in Hegang City was arrested by officers from Jinxiang Street Police Station, Harbin City. He is being held in the Xiangfang Detention Center. He has been persecuted to the point of paralysis and developed fecal and urine incontinence. He has been temporarily released on medical parole and stays in the hospital.

Ms. Wang Xiaoju was arrested with Mr. Liang. She was sentenced to two years of forced labor and has been transferred to the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp.

22. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Yun Haisen Transferred to Chifeng City No. 4 Prison

Mr. Yun Haisen, Ms. Feng Guoru and Mr. Li Shuwen from the Aohan Banner of Chifeng City were arrested by officer Gong Chuanxing and others from the Aohan Banner Police Department on August 12, 2011. They were placed on trial at the Aohan Banner Court on the afternoon of March 23, 2012. Mr. Yun Haisen was sentenced to eight years and was transferred to the Chifeng City No. 4 Prison on October 30, 2012.

23. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Yunyan Arrested

Ms. Zhou Yunyan, 60, was arrested at her home by instructor Zhang and officers from the Xin District Police Station in Daying County. They have told Ms. Zhou's family that she will be on trial at Daying County Court on November 9, 2012. Ms. Zhou is being held at the Daying Detention Center.

24. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Qian Yunguo Arrested

Mr. Qian Yunguo, in his 50s, was arrested outside of his company on November 7, 2012. His company's security guard deceived him and led him out of the building, and then a group of police arrested him.

25. [Beijing] University Lecturer Mr. Yan Dong Arrested at His Class

Mr. Yan Dong a university lecturer at the Architecture and Urban Planning College, Beijing University of Technology, was arrested in his class on November 5, 2012.

26. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Meiyu and Ms. Huang Guiye Arrested

Ms. Chen Meiyu from Shangbao Village, Gurao Town, Chaoyang District, Shantou City and Ms. Huang Guiye from Maoguang Village were arrested by the local police while they were telling people about Falun Gong. They are being held at the Meihua Detention Center in the Chaoyang District.

27. [Huaying City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Shuyin and His Wife Arrested on October 29, 2012

28. [Taojiang County, Hunan Province] Mr. Guo Heping Arrested

Mr. Guo Heping, around 60 years old, from Santangjie Town, Taojiang County has been secretly detained for over a month. He has been transferred to the Taojiang County Detention Center.

29. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhou Jianguo and Practitioner Pang Arrested

Ms. Zhou Jianguo from Nanjing City was arrested by plainclothes police while she was distributing Falun Gong materials. She was taken to the Bailuzhou Police Station in the Qinhuai District. She was transferred to Nanjing City Detention Center on November 4, 2012.

A practitioner by the name of Pang from another city was arrested along with Ms. Zhou.
