(Minghui.org) Since April 2012, over 26 practitioners from Dongying City and Shengli Oilfield in Shandong Province have been arrested, detained and forced into the brainwashing centers by the communist authorities. Three practitioners were sentenced to labor camp. Some practitioners suffered from various degrees of harassment, depriving them of a normal life.
For the past few months, in the name of the 18th Communist Party Congress, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has slandered Falun Gong, and using posters, banners, and panels, and viciously attacked its founder Mr. Li Hongzhi. Calling it “maintaining and stabilizing order during the 18th Communist Party Congress,” the communist authorities have persecuted Falun Gong. Fearing that people would know the truth and voice their opinions, the CCP has partially blocked Internet access for the public.
1. Three Practitioners Sent to the Labor Camp
(1) Yin Guizhi from Gudong Oilfield sentenced to 1.5 years of forced labor
On May 15, 2012, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yin Guizhi from Gudong in Shengli Oilfield in Shandong Province, along with another practitioner, were arrested as they were harvesting vegetables in the field. On June 14, after being detained in Dongying Detention Center for a month, they were transferred to Wang Village Forced Labor Camp, where they were sentenced to serve 1.5 years.
Back in March 2002, using bribery, the 610 Office had successfully convinced labor camp authorities to sentence Ms. Yin to a one-year term there.
(2) Practitioner Ms. Miao Lujun, a retiree, was sentenced to two years in the Jinan Women's Labor Camp
Ms. Miao Lujun, 60, is a retiree of an auto repair shop in Shengli Oilfield. On the afternoon of May 15, 2012, both Ms. Miao and her husband were arrested. Her husband was released on the same day, but Ms. Miao was detained in Youqijishu Brainwashing Center for two months. On July 6, Li Jianzhong, captain of Binnan Public Security Bureau, without informing Ms. Miao's family or going through any legal procedures, secretly sentenced Ms. Miao to two years in Jinan Labor Camp.
(3) Practitioner Ms. Zhang Li from Linpan Oilfield was arrested and sentenced to one year and five months in Jinan Women's Labor Camp
Ms. Zhang Li (or Zhang Lihua), about 30, is a family member of an employee working in Linpan Oilfield. On August 2, 2012, she was arrested in Zhengjia Village, Ling County, Shandong Province, and kept in a detention center for 15 days. She was sentenced to serve one year and five months in a labor camp. On August 17, she was transferred to the First Woman's Labor Camp of Jinan by Wu Guguo and police officers from the Ling County Public Security Bureau.
2. Trampling on the Law and Severely Beating Practitioners
During the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, personnel from practitioners' work units and the brainwashing centers have disregarded the law and trampled on citizen's rights. They have brutally beaten Falun Gong practitioners who are hardworking people, and even elderly people were not spared. The facts are as follows:
(1) Si Huiyin from the Gudong Oil Production Plant Transport Department colluded with the Office of Public Security in beating practitioners
Mr. Pang Pengbo, bus driver of the Transport Battalion of Gudong Oil Production Plant, is a hard worker who is known to be a good person throughout his company.
On July 5, 2012, he went to work as usual. Si Huiyin, chief of the transportation brigade, colluded with the department of public security, and called Mr. Pang to come to his office. When Mr. Pang got there, Si started threatening him. Mr. Pang didn't pay attention to him and walked away. Si immediately rushed up to Mr. Pang and slammed the door shut, and ordered personnel from the department of public security to assault him. Mr. Pang was beaten so badly that he was barely recognizable.
Later on, Si arrested him again and threatened to put him into a labor camp. Because Si couldn't find any grounds to prosecute Mr. Pang, he sent him to the 610 Office, where he received continued persecution.
(2) A 70-year-old lady beaten in the Shengcai Brainwashing Center
On February 23, 2012, practitioner Ms. Li Xuerong from Shengbei District of Shengli Oilfield was arrested and sent to the Shengcai Brainwashing Center, where she was beaten severely. In July, on her way to the market, Ms. Li was again arrested and sent to the brainwashing center.
3. A 60-year-old Lady Arrested and Sent to the Labor Camp
In order to arrest Falun Gong practitioners, the 610 Office personnel came up with all kinds of tricks, including in the case of Ms. Miao Lujun, a 60-year-old practitioner.
Ms. Miao Lujun, 60, is a retired worker of an auto repair shop. On May 15, 2012, both Ms. Miao and her husband were not home. At about 2 p.m., Ms. Miao's husband got a phone call from the office of senior services who told him that “there's a water leak in your house.” As soon as Ms. Miao's husband came home, over a dozen of undercover police officers ran down from upstairs and arrested him. They started ransacking the house and took away all the belongings including a computer and a printer. When Ms. Miao came home right behind him, several undercover police officers came up and arrested her. Ms. Miao's husband was released on the same day, but Ms. Miao was detained in the brainwashing center for two months.
During Ms. Miao's detention in the brainwashing center, she was forced into a confession by torture at the hands of Li Jianzhong, captain of Binnan Public Security Bureau. Li lied to Ms. Miao's family by telling them that he would release her in a few days and all of the paperwork was ready. On July 6, Li and other personnel secretly sentenced Ms. Miao to send her to two months in Jinan Labor Camp.
4. Practitioners' Lives Are in Danger
Mr. Shi Qiang is an employee of the Shengli Oil Gathering Plant. On July 24, 2012, Mr. Shi was asked to go to his office. When he got there, the CCP personnel forced him to write a “guarantee letter” to denounce Falun Gong. After refusing, on the night of July 24, he was immediately taken to the brainwashing center. His family went to the brainwashing center to demand his release, but were refused by the brainwashing center personnel. Because Mr. Shi didn't feel well, his family called the ambulance for him. He was taken to the Central Hospital of Shengli Oilfield. The doctor said Mr. Shi Qiang was in critical condition. Nevertheless, the CCP personnel still hired five people from Mr. Shi's workplace to monitor him. When Mr. Shi's family asked them what to do with Mr. Shi, and who would take the responsibility in case something bad happened to him, Cheng Zhendong said, “If he dies, I will be responsible.”
5. Mr. Lu Xinghua Framed and Life Savings of 300,000 Yuan Taken Away
Gao Yuemin is the director of the Gudong Oil Production in Shengli Field. For the past few years, Gao has shown no regrets for leading the persecution and continues to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
Since April of this year, in order to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, Gao concocted lies to frame them. He slandered practitioner Mr. Lu Xinghua, who is former chief of the oil plant, repeatedly on the Internet.
Gao also went to the Anti-corruption Bureau of Dongying City to falsely accuse Mr. Lu for bribery. After finding no factual evidence to prosecute Mr. Lu, the Gudong Oil Production Plant colluded with the Anti-corruption Bureau. On April 11, a group of people broke into Mr. Lu's house and ransacked it. They took away Mr. Lu's savings of over 300,000 yuan. When Mr. Lu came home from work, they arrested him and sent him to the Detention Center of Hekou District. Gao also extorted over 1,000 yuan from Mr. Lu's family for “living expenses.”
During the process of trying to extract a confession, Gao and his colleagues went over all the bank accounts under Mr. Lu's name. They even went to Mr. Lu's hometown in Shanghe City, Shandong Province, to conduct an extensive investigation on him, but found nothing.
Fifteen days after Mr. Lu was arrested, the communist authorities informed his family to go to his company to pick up an arrest warrant. Twenty days later, Gao conspired with the local court and sent Mr. Lu to the prosecution unit. Gao asked Mr. Lu's family to pay him 450,000 yuan and threatened to continue to torture Mr. Lu. Gao also colluded with the anti-corruption bureau, Hekou Public Security Bureau, and the Hekou Court to put Mr. Lu on trial twice.
6. Several Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested in the Market
On July 18, 2012, several practitioners from Shengli Oilfield went to the market. On their way home, personnel from the local public security bureau arrested them for using currency that had truth-clarification words on it. Three practitioners in their 60's, including Ms. Chang Yulan, Ms. Wang Juxian, and Ms. Wang Aihua, were arrested by Dong Ning, a police officer from Binbei National Security Brigade. Ms. Li Xuerong from the Shengbei community and a practitioner surnamed Zhang from the West #5 District were also arrested. They are currently detained in Shengcai and Jishu Brainwashing Centers.
