Additional Persecution News from China – November 12, 2012 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Jianping Arrested and His Wife Forced to Leave Home

Mr. Chen Jianping is an employee of the Changchun Salt Corporation. Qinghe Police Station agents arrested him on November 7 and held him at the Weizigou Detention Center.

Agents attempted to arrest Mr. Chen's wife, Ms. Peng Yu, the next day, but failed. Ms. Peng was forced to leave home.

2. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Tao Tianzhen Arrested

Ms. Tao Tianzhen, 69, was arrested on the evening of November 7. Her home was ransacked and her personal belongings were confiscated, including home electronics, a computer, a printer, and Falun Gong books. Officials also arrested her husband but later released him since he was not a practitioner.

3. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Lei Arrested on October 29 and His Whereabouts Unknown

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Arrest of Ms. Liu Liping and Ms. Wang Hongzhen

Two elderly practitioners, Ms. Liu Liping and Ms. Wang Hongzhen, went to distribute truth-clarification DVDs in Huayang Town in Shuangliu County on the morning of November 3. Three 610 Office agents followed them and searched them. The agents took all truth-clarification materials, DVDs, one phone book, and 330 yuan in cash. In the afternoon, agents ransacked Ms. Wang's home and confiscated 15 Falun Gong books as well as one electronic book reader. The two practitioners returned home that evening.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Kewei Detained

Six agents from the Caidian District 610 Office and Caidian Police Department (Domestic Security Division) went to Mr. Liu Kewei's home at night on November 1 and arrested him. Mr. Liu is currently in the Caihongmiao Detention Center.

6. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Yuquan Arrested

Mr. Zhang Yuquan who worked in Jinzhou City was arrested by Jinzhou police on the afternoon of November 10.

7. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Zhenhua and Ms. Zhang Li Hua Arrested; Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Zhang Zhenhua was arrested and her whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Zhang Lihua was arrested at home around November 8. Her home was ransacked and her current whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Fu and Mr. Liu Jun Detained

Mr. Liu Fu and Mr. Liu Jun were arrested one after another on October 26, 2012. They were then sent to the Yangtian Township government. Officials sent them to the county detention center on the morning of October 27 and kept them there for two weeks. Officials then detained them again in the township government.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Shengchun Arrested

When Daowai District practitioner Ms. Hu Shengchun distributed Shen Yun DVDs on the morning of November 9, Nanmalu Police Station agents arrested her. Six police agents then ransacked her home. They confiscated some Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, a TV set, and other personal belongings.

10. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Retired Employee Ms. Zhang Xiuhua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiuhua is retired from the China Petrochemical Corporation at Yaohuamen in the Qixia District. Agents from the Qixia District 610 Office and Yaohuamen Police Station arrested her at noon on November 6.

11. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xu Zhihua and Three Others Arrested

Four practitioners clarified the truth at Huangxi Town, including Mr. Xu Zhihua, Ms. Wang Qiufeng, Ms. Zhang Hongqin, and Ms. Lin Saixian. Agents from Huangxi Police Station and Yujiang County Police Department arrested them. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Peian Arrested

Mr. Xu Peian, about 40, is a practitioner in Hulinbu Village in Weifang City. Domestic Security Division officials arrested him on November 7.

13. [Lixin County, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Guiying Recently Arrested

Laomiao Town Police Station agents arrested Huji Town practitioner Ms. Zhang Guiying recently when she clarified the truth. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Weichao Detained

Mr. Wang Weichao is from Qiuchengxi Street in Qiucheng Town, Qiu County, Hebei Province. He went to Beijing to work. When he was washing clothes at home on the evening of November 5, Xu Kai and Zhang Qiang from Tianzhu Town in Shunyi District arrested him. They also confiscated one computer and one Falun Gong book. Mr. Wang is currently being held in the Shunyi District Detention Center.
