(Minghui.org) Officers from the Yongdinglu Police Station in Haidian District, Beijing arrested and detained many Falun Gong practitioners including Ms. Meng Hua, Mr. Li Xiangding, Mr. Si Xisui, Mr. Yang Zhongming and Ms. Li Mengxue. A month later, on October 26, 2012, Ms. Meng Hua was sentenced to two years in forced labor camp; Mr. Li Xiangding, three years; Mr. Si Xisui, two years.

Police Arrest Falun Gong Practitioners at Midnight

From 10 p.m. on September 26, 2012 to 12 a.m. on September 27, 2012, officers from the Yongdinglu Police Station in Haidian District arrested Ms. Meng Hua, Mr. Li Xiangding, Mr. Si Xisui, Mr. Yan Zhongming and Ms. Li Mengxue. Ms. Meng Hua was taken away from her home in Haidian District. Mr. Li Xiangding was taken away from his home in Anxiangbeili, Chaoyang District and his home was ransacked. Mr. Yang Zhongming was taken away from his home at Shangzhuang Village, Haidian District and his home was also ransacked.

Mr. Li Xiangding, about 54 years old, works in the No. 7 Ministry of Machinery Industry. His father has passed away and his mother is 84 years old. Mr. Li lives in his mother's home at Chaoyang District in order to take care of her. On September 26, 2012, at 10 p.m., police from Haidian District broke into his mother's home and forcibly took him away. The police also took a computer worth about 4000 yuan, a printer worth about 2000 yuan and other property. His mother was asleep at the time and did not hear anything because she is hard of hearing. The next morning, she found her son, the computer and the printer missing. She learned what happened only after making many inquiries.

38-year-old Mr. Si Xisui from Jizhou, Hebei Province works in Beijing. On September 26, 2012, at 10 p.m, the police used deception to get his wife to open the door and ransacked his home. The police took away two computer main units and other property. His wife tried to stop the police, but she was locked up for 12 hours. Her identification card was held for two days. Mr. Si was taken away from his office located in Chaoyang District by officers from the Yongdinglu Police Station at about 1 p.m. on September 27, 2012. He was sent to the Haidian Detention Center. The police did not present any legal documents while arresting Mr. Si and searching his home. His family did not receive any notification of criminal detention.

In April 1995, Mr. Si Xisui had “Hench-Schonlein Purpura” as a result of sulfonamides allergy. This disease is hard to cure and usually develops into uremia. Since then he began a long journey of seeking treatment. His face became swollen and disfigured because of medicine containing hormones. Nutrition in the body was discharged through urine. He suffered back pain and lacked energy in his limbs. He was in despair by 1996. One day, he saw someone practicing Falun Gong in a park. He decided to try it. Then, a miracle happened. He went to the doctor to have an examination of urinary protein two weeks later. The result was negative. The doctor did not believe it and thought the examination must be in error.

Mr. Si Xisui was arrested and detained in the Haidian Detention Center because of his belief. He received a sentence of two years' forced labor. According to the relevant law, the so-called law enforcement department actually violated the law. Without an arrest warrant issued from the people's procuratorates or the court, Mr. Si was detained in the Haidian Detention Center and he received a decision of two years' forced labor. According to the current Chinese law, Mr. Si did not violate any law or regulation. His family and he firmly rejected the decision and appealed to the authorities to reverse the verdict and set him free.

Policemen in charge of the case included Xiong Menglong and Xu Tao. Zhu Yinguang conducted preliminary interrogations in the detention center.

Haidian District Police Conduct Unlawful Arrests and Ransack Homes

On August 2, 2012, three plainclothes policemen from the Haidian Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Liu Yongping and ransacked his home. His family inquired at the division many times abut him. The police dodged their questions. Mr. Liu's family received a notification on September 9, 2012, saying he was sent to a forced labor camp on August 31, 2012. The term is two years and six months.

Mr. Zhang Peirong from Hongmen Village, Xiangshan, Haidian was taken away by police on August 28, 2012. It was said that he had been sent to a forced labor camp.

Ms. Gao Shuqing from Sujiatuo, Haidian was taken away from her home at about 6 p.m. on October 12, 2012. She was sent to the Haidian Detention Center.

On October 29, 2012, at 3 p.m., four policemen from the Haidian Police Station got Mr. Zhang Jie to open the door to his home by claiming to be there for a routine home inspection. The police arrested Mr. Zhang Jie and took away a computer. The police ransacked his home again at 5 p.m. that afternoon.
