Additional Persecution News from China – October 23, 2012 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 5 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

9. [Beijing] Mr. Hu Chuanlin Sent to Forced Labor Camp
10. [Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Wang Jincai and Three Others Arrested

1. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pan Shufeng and Ms. Zhang Xiuman Detained

Ms. Pan Shufeng and Ms. Zhang Xiuman were recently arrested by police and sent to the Yaojia Detention Center.

2. [Duchang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Hu Huoying on Hunger Strike to Protest Persecution

Ms. Hu Huoying was arrested and sent to the Duchang Detention Center on August 4, 2012. The officers from the Duchang Domestic Security Division interrogated her many times with force. Ms. Hu kept practicing Falun Gong exercises in the detention center and went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

3. [Yiyuan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liang Arrested

Ms. Liang was arrested on October 19, 2012.

4. [Yingtan, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xu Huihua Sentenced to Prison; Ms. Wang Qiufeng Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Lin Chanxian, Ms. Zhang Hongqin, Ms. Xu Huihua, and Ms. Wang Qiufeng from Qingtan had been arrested by police in Huangxi Town, Yujiang County, on June 19, 2012. They were taken to the Yujiang Detention Center.

Ms. Lin and Ms. Zhang were released on July 4, 2012. Ms. Wang was sent to the Jiangxi Women's Forced Labor camp for a two-year term on July 5, 2012.

Under the orders of the 610 Office, the Yujiang County Court in Yingtan sentenced Ms. Xu Huihua to three years in prison on September 29, 2012.

5. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhou Murong Detained

Mr. Zhou Murong was arrested by officers from the Yonghe Police Station on the night of October 19, 2012. He was sent to the Harbin Detention Center.

6. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Yuru and Ms. Ren Peitu Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Yuru, from Chengbei Village, was arrested at work and sent to the Chengde Brainwashing Center on October 17, 2012. Officers from the Pingquan Police Station made the arrest.

Officers from the Pingquan Domestic Security Division transferred Ms. Ren Peitu from the Pingquan Detention Center to the Chengde Brainwashing Center on October 18, 2012.

7. [Taoyuan, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Lansi and Three Others Arrested

Ms. Liu Lansi, 23, Ms. Chen Yanli, 23, Ms. Huang Dongya, 40, and Ms. Chen Yongmei, 72, were arrested by officers from the Taoyuan Domestic Security Division on October 16, 2012.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Zhuang Yanhong Detained

Ms. Zhuang Yanhong, a teacher at Beijing University of Technology, was arrested at work by police from Chaoyang District and the university's security guards on the morning of October 18, 2012. She is being held in the Chaoyang Detection Center.

9. [Beijing] Mr. Hu Chuanlin Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Hu Chuanlin, an employee of Beijing International Studies University, was sent to a forced labor camp on October 18, 2012, for a term of two and a half years.

10. [Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Wang Jincai and Three Others Arrested

Mr. Wang Jincai and his wife, Ms. Yang Lianying, from Weinan, as well as Ms. Zheng Min and Ms. Wang Fengqin, were arrested by police in Pucheng County on October 19, 2012. Their homes were ransacked.
