(Minghui.org) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 9 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Yuanli Arrested, Her Current Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Yuanli was arrested by three plainclothes police officers while distributing truth-clarification materials on the morning of September 18, 2012. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Guangzhen and Ms. Wang Yaping Arrested

Ms. Liang Guangzhen and Ms. Wang Yaping were arrested by officers from Hongqi Police Station while distributing truth-clarification materials on September 20. The same day, their homes were also ransacked. Their present whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Li Arrested from Her Home

Ms. Zhu Li was arrested by Jinzhou City 610 Office agents, who broke into her house on the morning of September 2. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Feng Qinying and Sister Ms. Feng Yingzi Sent to Brainwashing Facility

Ms. Feng Qinying and sister, Ms. Feng Yingzi, were arrested and taken to a brainwashing facility in the Yuhang District on September 17.

5. [Donghai County, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Yamin Detained

Ms. Wang Yamin was arrested by officers from Xishuanghu Police Station and Niushan Police Station in Donghai County. She is currently at Donghai County Detention Center.

6. [Suzhou, Jiangsu Province] Elderly Practitioner Ms. Sun Aixia Harassed by Police

Ms. Sun Aixia from Donggangxin Village is 72 years old. She was arrested from her home on April 18, 2012, and detained for three months. Later she was bailed out for a month. Since her return home, police have repeatedly harassed her at her home or through phone calls.

7. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Four Practitioners Sentenced

Ms. Wang Fenghua and Ms. Zhai Cuixia were put on trial by Yuanbaoshan District Court on August 21. Ms. Wang was unjustly sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment and Ms. Zhai to 4 years. On August 22, 2012, Ms. Yang Lirong was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment. Her mother, Ms. Li Yuzhi, was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment.

8. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Police from Hengyang Railroad Domestic Security Division broke into Zhuhui District Mine Machinery Factory residential area on September 20 and ransacked the home of Mr. Liu Qingyun and his wife, Ms. Chen Hengxiu'. The police took several computers, printers and accessories, and all their Dafa books. The couple was arrested. Ms. Chen was released the same night, but Mr. Liu is still being held at the Railroad Detention Center.

Ms. Kuang's house was ransacked by police from Zhuhui District Domestic Security Division and Railroad Domestic Security Division. Her computer, printer and 20,000 yuan in cash bearing truth-clarification messages as well as her Dafa books were taken away. Ms. Kuang was arrested on the afternoon of September 21. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Guangan, Sichuan Province] Mr. Ju Kaixiu Detained

Ms. Ju Kaixiu from Baishi Town was arrested on September 21 and is currently in Guangan Detention Center.

10. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Cong Jie Arrested

Ms. Cong Jie was arrested by police from Dehui City Domestic Security Division and Guangming Police Station on the morning of September 23.

11. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Mr. Qu Guangyi Arrested

Recently, Mr. Qu Guangyi; his sister, Ms. Qu Shuqin; and his wife, Ms. Gao Guibo, all from the Erdao District, were arrested from their home by 610 Office agents. Mr. Qu is detained at the Third Detention Center. Ms. Gao Guibo and Ms. Qu Shuqin are at Weizigou Detention Center. Ms. Liu Yanqiu was also arrested.

12. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zou Hualan, Mr. Hu Jian and Mr. Xia Jiesheng were arrested on September 7 by the Nanan District Domestic Security Division and Tushan Town Police Station.

Police found Ms. Zou's landlord on September 9. They opened her door and took two computers, two printers, and tens of thousands of yuan in cash as well as other personal belongings from her home.

13. [Suining, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liang Guilan Arrested and Her Current Whereabouts Unknown

Suining City 610 Office agents and police officers broke into Ms. Liang Guilan's home and ransacked it on the morning of September 20. Ms. Liang was arrested and her current whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Ningbo, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ni Xueqing Arrested

Ms. Ni Xueqing from Xiangshan is in her 60s. She was arrested on the evening of September 18, 2012. The next morning, over a dozen police officers ransacked her house.

15. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yan from Yanqing Town, Yanqinq County, was arrested from her home the morning of September 19, 2012.

16. [Fucheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Fan Zhanfeng Detained

Mr. Fan Zhanfeng is currently being held at Jing County Detention Center.

17. [Jining, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Jing Tortured in Jining Detention Center

Ms. Liu Jing is detained in Jining Detention Center. She has been put in handcuffs and shackles. She can only walk with two people assisting her on each side.

She was tried in August.
