(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Hamburg, Germany answered the call to urge the United Nations to conduct an urgent investigation to stop the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They started a signature collection drive on October 10, 2012. Friends and relatives, MPs, reporters, neighbors, colleagues were very supportive, and signed the petition. Practitioners also held Information Day activities on three consecutive weekends at tourist spots and on pedestrian streets, urgently calling upon the UN to send an independent group to China to investigate allegations of the CCP's forced organ harvesting of living Falun Gong practitioners. Many people who have learned the facts expressed indignation at the CCP's heinous deeds.

On Saturday, October 20, roads and pedestrian streets in downtown Hamburg were packed with tourists, citizens, street artists and all kinds of information booths. Falun Gong practitioners set up an information table and staged a reenactment of illegal organ harvesting in Spitalerstrasse. A man in his 40s stood besides the organ harvesting reenactment and watched for a long time. He heard the information broadcast from a loudspeaker, that Falun Gong practitioners have become a living organ bank in China. He then took a flyer and read it right away. After reading the flyer in its entirety, he stood there motionless, with the flyer tightly held in his hand. For quite a while, he talked to a practitioner who was collecting signatures. He said, “I support your appeal.” He wrote “Doctor” in the “Occupation” column.

Almost at the same time, a young woman smiled at a practitioner while taking a flyer to read. She quickly finished reading it and said, “ I want to sign.” She is also a doctor from Hannover.

People Proactively Sign to Call for End to the CCP's Atrocity

A man who appeared to be in his fifties saw the reenactment of forced organ harvesting and was stunned. When he was asked if he would like to sign the petition to call upon the EU to condemn the CCP's crimes, he said, “I'll sign. I must sign! I have never heard of such an inhuman thing. I'm very angry!” He thanked the practitioner after signing, and took some informational materials before leaving.

A middle-aged company CEO and his three friends stopped in front of the information table. He asked a practitioner what was going on and signed the petition right away. With his encouragement, his three friends also signed the petition. The young woman among them said to the practitioners, “You've done a great thing.”

Two young women asked in detail about the CCP's forced live organ harvesting. One of them said, “I couldn't help trembling while listening to this. I have never known that the CCP is so terrible.” They both signed the petition.

Two young men stood shocked in front of the organ harvesting reenactment. They were surprised to hear the information from a loudspeaker that the CCP is systematically, and on a large scale, harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. They learned more from a practitioner and then said, “We wholeheartedly support your collecting signatures to appeal to EU.”

A middle-aged man signed the petition and said, “I'll post your signature collection issue on Facebook. You've done a great job; keep it up.”

The signature collection activity concluded at 6:00 p.m. as it began to get dark. As the practitioners began packing up, people still kept coming over to inquire and sign the petition.
