Additional Persecution News from China – September 25, 2012 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 6 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhu Yanian and her husband, as well as Ms. Jiang Aidi, Mr. Gu Hongliang, and Mr. Mao Tiejun were arrested on the morning of August 21, 2012. They are being detained in the Jiangshan Hotel and the Jiangping Inn, which serve as detention facilities to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

Ms. Du Cuihua was arrested on August 22, 2012. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Gong Youliang, in his 60s, was arrested earlier. His whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Zhang Wei and Ms. Xu Huixiu were also arrested.

2. [Jingyu County, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Yongjun Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Jiang Yongjun, a teacher of the Jingyu Professional High School, was arrested at the school and sent to the Changchun Brainwashing Center at the beginning of September 2012.

3. [Linqing, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Yanfa and Ms. Li Hongling Detained

Mr. Li Yanfa and Ms. Li Hongling, from Nanliu Village, Liuhezi Town, were arrested by officers from the Douhutun Police Station while they spoke to people about Falun Gong in Douhutun Town, Dongchangfu, Liaocheng. They were detained in the Liaocheng Detention Center. Mr. Li Yanfa was then sent to a forced labor camp for a one-year term. Ms. Li Hongling has been released on September 20, 2012.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yan Detained

Ms. Zhang Yan lives in Hunan Residential Area of Yanqing Town, Yanqing County. She was arrested at home by Yanqing police in the early morning of September 19, 2012. Her home was also ransacked. She was later sent to the Xicheng District Detention Center.

5. [Tumen, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Yufen Detained

Ms. Jin Yufen was arrested while she distributed Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs on the afternoon of September 8, 2012. She is being held in the Anshan Detention Center.

6. [Huaying, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Deyu Arrested

Mr. Deng Deyu was arrested while he spoke to people about Falun Gong on September 24, 2012.

7. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Mr. Ma Guohua Transferred to Brainwashing Center upon Completing Forced Labor Term

Mr. Ma Guohua was incarcerated in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun. His term expired on September 24, 2012. However, Jiang Xiaojun and others from the Erdao District 610 Office prevented his release and instead transferred him to a brainwashing center located outside of the Fenjin Forced Labor Camp in Changchun.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Zou Hualan Detained

Ms. Zou Hualan was arrested by officers from the Nanan District Police Department's Domestic Security Division and the Tushan Town Police Station on September 7, 2012. She was sent to the Shibanpo Detention Center. Her family were not notified that Ms. Zou was detained there until September 24, 2012.

9. [Dandong, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xuemei Tortured in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Wang Xumei was arrested in June 2012. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor and sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, where she was brutally tortured. The guards force-fed her and attempted to force her to give up her belief.

10. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Weijing Sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Liu Weijing, 60, arrested at home by Sun Sheng and other officers from the Tongjiangkou Township Police Station on the morning of September 5, 2012. She was sent to the Tieling City Detention Center, where she was brutally beaten, resulting in shoulder, waist and back injuries. The police also ransacked her home and confiscated her laptop, printer, and 1,445 yuan in cash.

On September 20, 2012, Ms. Liu was transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for a two-year term. Her family is not allowed to visit her.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Shuhua Detained

Ms. Wang Shuhua from Tanggu, Tianjin, 63, was arrested by officers from the Nanjiang Police Department and the Tanggu 610 Office while she spoke to people about Falun Gong in the Donggu Community on the afternoon of September 18, 2012. She is being held in the Zhaojiadi Detention Center in Tanggu. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and materials.
