Additional Persecution News from China – August 27, 2011 (21 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties across 9 provinces. In this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Guiqin Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Guiqin from Jiamusi City was arrested by officers from the Political and Judiciary Committee on her way to work on the morning of August 22, 2011. Her husband went to the Jianjin Police Department Political Judiciary Committee to request her release. The deputy chief of the Political and Judiciary Committee said that Ms. Liu had been taken to the Yichun Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Liu and her husband are both unemployed. This is the third time she has been arrested for Falun Gong, which makes her family members very disheartened.

2. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuyuan Again Arrested and Taken to Jilin Province Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhang Xiuyuan, from Weijin Town, Liaoyuan City, was arrested and taken to Xiangyang Detention Center for distributing truth-clarifying materials one month ago. After she escaped from the brainwashing center, she was continuously harassed. On the afternoon of August 19, she was taken to Jilin Province Brainwashing Center.

3. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Many Practitioners Arrested

On August 4, 2011, officers from the Nankang Police Station, affiliated with the Liaoyuan City Police Department, arrested Mr. Bai Xiufeng, Mr. Song Shirong, Ms. Meng Xianmei (teachers from Anshi Town, Dongliao County, Liaoyuna City), as well as Ms. Che Guirong, Ms. Wang Xiaohong, and her daughter from Longshan District, Liaoyuan City. Their homes were ransacked; six police officers ransacked Ms. Chen's home for almost two hours. Mr. Bai's personal property was also taken and he was brutally beaten by Li Jing, of the Dongliao County Domestic Security Division. They are now being detained at the Xiangyang Detention Center.

4. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Guibin, Ms. Zhang Junmei, and Ms. Song Guiying Arrested

Ms. Li Guibin, Ms. Zhang Junmei, and Ms. Song Guiying, from Yi County, were arrested by police officers from Yi County when they were clarifying the truth on the morning of August 26, 2011. Ms. Song is now back home.

5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Hongxing and Ms. Gao Aihua Arrested

Mr. Wang Hongxing, a teacher at the Yinliang Village No. 17 Middle School, Babaishang Region, Daqing City, was arrested and taken to the Hulan Prison on August 24, 2011.

Ms. Gao Aihua, from Linyuan, Daqing City, was arrested by officers from the Linyuan Police Department.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about Mr. Sun Zhengyun's Arrest

Mr. Sun Zhengyun was arrested on August 23, 2011. His personal items were taken, including two computers, one printer, eight cell phones, a bank card with a balance of 3,000 yuan, and over 1,000 yuan in cash.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qin Shulan Arrested on the Afternoon of August 24, 2011 and Taken to Longwangmiao Brainwashing Center

8. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tian Baowei Arrested and Tried with Many People Inside and Outside the Court

On the morning of August 26, 2011, Mr. Tian Baowei was tried by officers from the Haicheng City Court, Haicheng City Police Department, and Domestic Security Division. A righteous attorney defended him. People who attended the court cried out, “Falun Dafa is good! Release him unconditionally.” Officers from the Domestic Security Division forcibly put Ms. Lei Hongxian and Ms. Sun Shuxiang, who were sitting outside the entrance, into a black vehicle, and no one knows where they were taken.

Many family members, non-practitioners, and Falun Gong practitioners arrived at the court. The police officers took videos of all those in attendance. There was someone who was immediately taken to a police vehicle and someone else was followed to their home.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Min Sentenced to a Four-and-a-Half-Year Term

Ms. Wang Min got the verdict issued by agents from the Shenbeixin District, Shenyang City on August 25, 2011, and was again sentenced, to a four-and-a-half-year term. They told her that there would be only ten days for her to appeal.

12. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Jitang and Ms. Liu Qinglian Tortured by County 610 Office

Mr. Zhang Jitang, from Jiazhuang Village, Daigu Town, Mengyin County, was arrested by officers from the Mengyin County 610 Office and Daigu 610 Office and Police Station, together with the Mengin County Detention Center. He was held there for a month and was blackmailed for tens of thousands of yuan.

As a result of persecution, Ms. Liu Qinglian, from Duozhuang Town, Mengyin County, was living away from home. In August 2011, she returned home. On the morning of August 16, 2011, she was arrested by officers from the Mengying County 610 Office and Duozhuang Town Police Station. She was taken to the Duozhuang Town Police Station and held there for three days. She was then taken to the Linxing Brainwashing Center. Her family went there three times and their requests to visit were rejected.

13. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Additional Information about the Arrests of Ms. Zhu Chengchun and Ms. Zhu Fengzhen

On August 22, 2011, Ms. Zhu Chengchun, from Jining City, was arrested and taken to Jinan City Women's Forced Labor Camp by officers from the Jining City High Tech Police Department and later sentenced to one year and seven months of forced labor. Ms. Zhu Fengzhen is still being held at the Jining City Detention Center.

These two practitioners were reported when they were clarifying the truth at the Xinshiji Plaza, Jining City on August 3, 2011. They were arrested by officers from the Guanghe Police Station, High Tech District Police Department, Jining City, and are being held at the Jining City Detention Center.

After Mr. Cao Dazhang was arrested on August 8, 2011, he was mistreated by officers from the Domestic Security Division. The guards interrogated him with torture to try to obtain “evidence.” On August 23, 2011, they again interrogated him to obtain information. The officers from the Domestic Security Division are now mistreating his family members. His son-in-law was working at the Liantong Co., and was suddenly notified to stop working on August 23, 2011.

16. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Dezhi Transferred from Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City to Jinan Prison on August 24, 2011

17. [Wulumuqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region] Ms. Gao Huizhu Arrested and Sentenced

Ms. Gao Huizhu went missing in late June, 2011. It was later learned that she had been arrested by officers from the Xinshi District of Wulumuqi City and detained at the Liudaowan Detention Center. One month later, she was secretly sentenced to one year in prison. She is currently being held at the Xinjiang Women's Second Prison in the Close Monitoring Section.

18. [Beijing ]Accountant Mr. Wu Ye Sentenced to Forced Labor

On July 22, 2011, Mr. Wu Ye was arrested by officers from the Wangjingdonghu Police Station, Chaoyang District, Beijing without any legal procedures being followed. He was sentenced to forced labor on August 19, 2011. He is still being held at the Chaoyang Detention Center.

19. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Police Officers Failed in Attempt to Arrest Ms. Zhai Fengju

Police officers Sheng Baohua and Geng Jinzhong, from Xianu Town, Dingxing County, Hebei Province, planned to arrest Ms. Zhai Fengju, on August 22, 2011. They had put her into a police vehicle, but because her family members and neighbors criticized them, the police officers later failed to arrest her.

From July 22 to August 22, 2011, police officers from Xianyu Town, led by Sheng Baohua, harassed Falun Gong practitioners many times, along with their family members.

20. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Mr. Luo Xinqiu and Mr. Wu Xiaowei Arrested

On August 20, 2011, Mr. Luo Xinqiu and Mr. Wu Xiaowei were arrested in Chenzhou City. Mr. Luo, Ms. Huang Xiaofen, and Mr. Wu Xiaowei's homes were all ransacked. Ms. Wu and Ms. Luo are now being held.

Mr. Luo, approximately 68 years old, is a resident of Pengjia Group, Hongtang Village, Heyeping Township, Suxian District, Chenzhou City. Mr. Wu Xiaowei, approximately 62 years old, is a retired employee of the Chenzhou City Railway Construction Section. Ms. Huang Xiaofen, around 58 years old, is a resident of Yongxing County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province.

21. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Huimin Arrested and Beaten

Ms. Zhou Huimin, from Jinzhou District, Dalian City, was arrested by local police on July 19, 2011, and her home ransacked. In the process, she was beaten by police officers, who took away her Dafa books, photo of Master, her handbag, fourteen telephone cards, three cell phones, one electronic book, an MP3 player, a laptop computer, four printers, a paper cutter, etc. One month later, she was released.
