FDIC Urgent Appeal: South Korea Must Cease Deporting Falun Gong Practitioners to China

Young couple facing imminent deportation, 50 other Falun Gong asylum seekers at risk

NEW YORK—The South Korean government must immediately take measures to ensure that no Falun Gong refugees be deported back to China, the Falun Dafa Information Center said Monday. Last week, immigration officials detained a 25-year-old Falun Gong practitioner and are holding him in detention for possible repatriation at any moment. Should he be deported, he faces serious risk of imprisonment, torture, or even death.

(Clearwisdom.net) A Mid-Autumn Festival celebration was held by the Brisbane City Council's Department of Multicultural Affairs on September 10, 2011. Queensland's Falun Dafa Association was invited for the second time to bring their traditional artistic performances and exercise demonstration to the celebration. The practitioners' performances were well received by local people.

Hong Kong Yields to CCP Pressure to Remove Falun Gong Posters (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The Hong Kong government has intensified its suppression of free expression in public and in the media recently. For example, with the excuse of keeping the city neat and clean in advance of the upcoming district election, the local government have tried to remove banners and posters displayed at Falun Gong truth-clarifying sites. This has attracted wide attention in the city, and many are worried that the Hong Kong government is once again trying to please the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) by suppressing the freedoms enjoyed by Hong Kong residents. They are concerned that the so-called “One Country-Two System” policy will not be honored.
