(Clearwisdom.net) Heizuizi Women's Prison (also known as Jilin Province Women's Prison) in Changchun City uses many brutal torture methods to force practitioners to give up their belief. The following are accounts of how practitioners have been tortured there:

Ms. Xiang Lijie from Liaoyuan City refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. The prison guards tortured her by stretching her limbs out so forcefully that her body was lifted off the bed. As a result her arms were dislocated and she became disabled. Up to today she has not been given any medical treatment and continues to be imprisoned.

Ms. Chen Haiyan from Gongzhuling City refused to accept a forced injection. She clarified the facts about the persecution to guards, and explained the miraculous health benefits of practicing Falun Gong, yet she was tortured by the “stretching bed” method. She was also forced to reveal the names of practitioners who had pretended to give up the practice.

Torture re-enactment: “Stretching bed”

Ms. Wang Shaoqing, head nurse of Zhenlai Prison Hospital, was imprisoned, and out of intense pressure from the Communist authorities, wrote a “guarantee statement” to stop practicing Falun Gong. Six months later, she issued a statement declaring her guarantee statement void and clarified the facts to the guards. She was immediately sent to solitary confinement. First, she had to sit on a small stool from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Later, she was forced to lie in bed for 24 hours with her arms raised. Prison convicts fed her food and she was not allowed to go to the toilet for two days, giving her no choice but to relieve herself on the bed. Next, the guards prepared to put her through even more brutal torture – the stretching bed. However, she was only spared from the torture after she gave in and denounced Falun Gong. Then she was indoctrinated with lies defaming Falun Gong and forced to write statements slandering the practice every day until the collaborators assigned to her were satisfied that the statements were malicious enough.

Ms. Li Shuchun from Siping City is 66 years old. After she was thrown into prison, she had to watch television programs slandering Falun Gong and write statements renouncing her faith. She tore up the statement out of remorse and was forced to sit on a stool from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. for three days without moving. The skin on her bottom became inflamed from the torture.

Ms. Cheng Xiuhua is 64 years old and a retired Songyuan Oil field worker. She was illegally sentenced to three years in prison in 2003 and held and abused at Changchun Women's Prison for three years. In 2010, she was again unlawfully sentenced to four years of imprisonment for clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. Later, she was diagnosed with severe high blood pressure and diabetes and hospitalized for over a month. Upon her discharge, guards chose two particularly vicious prison convicts to force her to renounce her faith. Finally she was put through the “stretching bed” torture.

Practitioner Ms. He Hua, whose sister is also being held in the same prison, was tortured by Zhao Guifeng and other guards until she became mentally unstable.

Four former practitioners from Changchun were each sentenced to 15 years at this prison. They, plus two other former practitioners from different cities, could not bear the torture and renounced their belief. They switched sides and actively assisted prison guards and convicts in persecuting steadfast practitioners. The six collaborators are as follows:

  1. Zhao Guifeng: around 53 years old, former Chinese medicine doctor from a Changchun clinic

  2. Ma Youchi: 60 years old, former associate professor in the Chinese department of Changchun Sports University

  3. Liu Yaqian: 59 years old, former official from the Changchun Trade and Industry Bureau

  4. Liu Zhe (has been released from prison): around 43 years old, former shop owner in Zhuozhan shopping center in Changchun

  5. Zhao Yingjie: 40 years old, Jilin resident, unemployed, sentenced to six years in prison

  6. Wang Li (has been released from prison): over 40 years old, resident of Baishan City

The brutality of the persecution initiated by the Communist regime can be seen by the transformation of these people-- from once aspiring to cultivate their minds and become better people, they were “transformed” into collaborators assisting in the persecution of other practitioners.
