(Clearwisdom.net) On August 7, the number of Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, reached 100 million. Falun Gong practitioners from multiple German cities have held all kinds of activities, inviting China human rights advocates and the public to join in celebrating the movement to quit the CCP and denounce its vicious crimes against the Chinese people.

The activity in Munich

On August 20, practitioners from Bavaria and Austria and members from an international human rights association held an activity in Munich, celebrating the withdrawals. Many Chinese tourists were drawn to the activity. A Chinese student stopped to talk to practitioners and decided to declare his withdrawal right away.

A Chinese tourist was excited when he saw the banners and display boards. He took a lot of photos, and said: “This is amazing. So many people are supporting this. I will share my photos with my family and friends. I didn't expect to see this in Europe. You've done a great job. Keep it up.”

Practitioners from Berlin held a similar event on August 13 at Brandenburg Gate, a famous tourist spot. Many tourists signed the petition to support the Quit the CCP movement. Some of them said that they would let more people know about it.

A Russian woman said to practitioners: “We won't have freedom if we don't fight for it. If everybody tries, then we will succeed. A political party cannot control millions of people forever.” As someone who had lived under communist rule, she admired the courage of the Chinese people who declared their withdrawals.

On the same day, practitioners from Hannover held an event, collecting signatures and distributing information about quitting the CCP. Many citizens have heard about the persecution of Falun Gong. They encouraged practitioners to continue their peaceful resistance.

On August 13, 2011, practitioners held an information day in front of Cologne Cathedral in Cologne, Germany. During the event, practitioners introduced Falun Gong and exposed the 12-year persecution of the practice in China. On the plaza in front of the cathedral, practitioners set up banners and display boards illustrating how the Chinese Communist Party has persecuted the Chinese people since it took power. Printed materials and petitions in support of Falun Gong were made available to visitors. The banners and pictures drew many Chinese visitors as well as westerners.

A businessman stopped at the practitioners' booth and said to them that he had just returned from China, so he knew something about this country. He said, “Although Shanghai looks beautiful on the surface, it is not the real China. You've done a good job raising awareness. I love real Chinese culture, and I love the Chinese people.”

A local government official had held misconceptions about Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to support the movement to quit the CCP. Upon coming across this event, he had a long conversation with practitioners, and he learned a lot about the persecution. He began to change his attitude and promised to read the informational materials and reconsider the issue.

On August 13, practitioners from the following German areas also held similar activities: Hamburg, Wuerzburg, Titise, Leipzig, and Heilbronn.
