Former Second Prize Winner of the National Youth Erhu Music Competition Sentenced to Over Eight Years in Prison

Mr. Jiao Lingyun Killed and Ms. Luan Xiuyuan and Ms. Dai Lixia Both in Critical Condition

(Clearwisdom.net) At 7:20 p.m. on June 10, 2011, Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Jiao Lingyun, Ms. Dai Lixia, and Ms. Luan Xiuyuan were arrested by a group of police headed by Geng Zhendong, deputy chief of the police department of Jixian County, Shuangyashan City and Wu Hua, chief of the National Security Group of Jixian County. At the time of the arrest the practitioners were working in the Jianxin Middle School of Jixian County, when the police broke in without any warrant. Mr. Jiao was later detained in the Jixian County Detention Center, while Ms. Dai Lixia and Ms. Luan Xiuyuan, originally from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, were held in the Jiamisi City Detention Center.
