(Clearwisdom.net) 610 Office personnel and Xinjin County, Chengdu City police in Sichuan Province tried to take a Falun Gong practitioner to a brainwashing center, but the practitioner's family protected her, and thus the evildoers' plan failed.

Ms. Peng Shuhua is from Wujin Town, Xinjin County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. She is in her 70s. After 1997 when she started practicing Falun Gong, her health and outlook on life greatly improved. Since July 20, 1999, she has been persecuted by the officers from the county political and judiciary committee and police department, who used various methods on her, such as arrest, extortion, imprisonment, and torture.

Xinjin County police, Wujin Town Government officials, and staff from her residential committee went to Ms. Peng's home several times this year to harass her and her family.

Around 9 a.m. on August 4, 2011, more than 10 Xinjin County police and government officials came to Ms. Peng's home in two police cars. In order to take Ms. Peng to the Xinjin Caiwan Brainwashing Center for persecution, they have harassed her repeatedly.

Ms. Peng's husband, Mr. Chen, realized that these same people had come to harass them just a few days earlier. At that time they failed to arrest Ms. Peng and so they came again. Mr. Chen is also in his 70s, and he doesn't practice Falun Gong. His wife had become an even better person since following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and yet the police are ruthless towards Ms. Peng. In disgust and frustration, Mr. Chen laid down in front of the police car, and told them that the only way they could go in to arrest his wife, was if they killed him. The police grabbed him and pulled him up. Officer Hu came over and threatened him.

When the police were harassing the elderly man, many passersby stopped and watched. Someone in the crowd recognized one of the officers named Zhang Xiaolan from the Wujin Police Station. He has been directly involved in several cases of arresting practitioners since the persecution started. In the end, they had to leave without Ms. Peng.

Mr. Chen went back home. Around 10:00 a.m., their son heard what happened and immediately came home from work. After he learned that his mom was alright and that his dad, Mr. Chen, was roughed up by the police, he went to the Wujin Police Station together with Mr. Chen. They questioned the police, asking them who sent those people to arrest Ms. Peng and who tried to beat Mr. Chen. But the police lied and to cover up their crimes said that no one was sent to Ms. Peng's home and there was no Officer Hu.
