(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Wei, from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, was in good physical condition and had healthy, lustrous, black hair. She was 5 ft. 9 in. tall and weighed 165 pounds. When she was released from detention at the beginning of March, 2010, her weight had dropped to 110 pounds, and her hair had turned completely white. After being subjected to severe physical and mental persecution in the forced labor camp, she passed away on December 10, 2010 at the age of 55.

Ms. Liu started to practice Falun Gong at the beginning of 1996. Afterwards, all her illnesses disappeared and she enjoyed a very happy life. When the Chinese communist regime started to persecute Falun Gong, in order to let people know the truth about Falun Gong, she started to distribute Falun Gong informational materials to the public, talking to people face to face about the facts of Falun Gong and also persuaded people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. When Ms. Liu was posting Falun Gong posters in a neighborhood on September 4, 2008, she was reported to police, illegally arrested and detained. Later on, she was unlawfully sentenced to forced labor.

On September 2008, Ms. Liu Wei was taken to the 4th Division of Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. During the detention, she was forced to stand for long periods of time, deprived of sleep, locked in a solitary confinement cell, denied use of the toilet, pinned to the ground and pinched by inmates, and forced to undergo brainwashing by regime agents and camp inmates. After all of these tortures, she became very weak and her blood pressure became very high.

In November 2008, because she refused to do forced labor, Ms. Liu was punished by the prison guards and forced to stand from morning until 10 o'clock at night, without being given anything to eat or drink. When her blood pressure became dangerously high, the guards were afraid they would be held responsible for her condition, and they finally allowed her to go back to her cell. Afterward, her physical condition worsened. Sometimes her blood pressure was even higher than 200mmHg. She began to have facial nerve pain, which was very painful when she brushed her teeth, ate or drank. Even though she was obviously in bad shape, the guards not only refused to release Ms. Liu, but continued to force her to do slave labor, causing her physical condition to worsen. Her once lustrous black hair began to turn white, and her face became pale. She no longer had any strength, and became so thin and fragile that even the wind might blow her down when she was walking. She used to weight 165 pounds, but after the persecution, her weight dropped to 120 pounds, and when she was most severely abused she only weighed 100 pounds.

Ms. Liu suffered brainwashing twice at the beginning of 2009 and 2010. She was greatly traumatized, both psychologically and physically by the persecution. Because she refused to renounce her spiritual belief, her term was extended seven days by the camp.

When Ms. Liu was released from the camp at the beginning of March, 2010, she never regained her health and sadly she passed away on December 10, 2010.
