(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Shi Feng from Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province was taken to the Jiangsu Women's Forced Labor Camp on May 17, 2011. She has been on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention for more than ten days. Her family made great effort to be allowed to visit her on May 31. They saw that she was emaciated and extremely weak.
Ms. Shi was arrested on the afternoon of April 17, as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at the Huai'an City Stadium square. Officers from the Qinghe District Domestic Security Division made the arrest and held her at the Huai'an City Detention Center. Her family went to 610 Offices of Huai'an City and the Qinghe District to demand her release. The officials lied and said that Ms. Shi would be released soon. But when her family went to the detention center to take her home on May 17, they were told that she had been sent to the Jiangsu Women's Forced Labor Camp.
It was Ms. Shi's second arrest and detention by officers from the Qinghe District Domestic Security Division. The first illegal arrest took place on May 1, 2009, when Ms. Shi was browsing websites at an Internet Cafe in Huai'an City. Wang Jianhuai and other officers from the Qinghe District Domestic Security Division made the arrest. They beat her and held her in custody for two weeks.
