(Clearwisdom.net) With great sorrow, I again recall stories about Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Qin Yueming.
Mr. Qin Yueming lived on Lixin Street in the Jinshantun District of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, and ran his own business. Because he practiced Falun Gong, he was sentenced to 10 years by the Chinese Communist Party in April 2002, and he was imprisoned at Lianjiangkou Prison in Jiamusi City. He was transferred to Jiamusi Prison in 2005 and persecuted to death on February 26, 2011, at the age of 47.
When the news that Mr. Qin had been persecuted to death spread to his hometown, his acquaintances and many villagers were shocked, grief-stricken and indignant.
Mr. Qin Rebuilt the Road for Villagers
Mr. Qin bought a house on Lixin Street in the Jinshantun District in the spring of 1997. Close to his house was a section of road that was bumpy and uneven. When it rained, the road got very muddy and lots of mud got on pedestrians' shoes. Cyclists often fell in the water. Thus people had to take a detour.
Mr. Qin rebuilt the road during his breaks in the mornings and evenings. After dozens of days of hard work, the road (four meters wide and over 100 meters long) was fixed. The villagers said, “The Falun Gong practitioner is really good.” At that time, Mr. Qin's home was a Falun Gong study site, and there were dozens of people learning and practicing Falun Gong.
The Villagers Took Care of Mr. Qin's Lawn
After Mr. Qin and his wife were both arrested in April 2002, there was no one left at their home. Some villagers voluntarily took care of their lawn. They removed the weeds in summer and the snow in winter.
Before Mr. Qin began practicing Falun Gong, he had a very irritable temper. In mid April 1997, he heard about the three words Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance at his friend's home, and the friend gave him the book Zhuan Falun. That evening he went to the practice site to do the exercises. On the first day, he did the sitting meditation for one hour.
Mr. Qin always conducted himself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance required by Dafa. He stopped drinking alcohol and quarreling with his wife. His wife and their two daughters observed the changes in him, and they also started practicing Falun Gong. Several months later, without any medical treatment, their younger daughter's liver disease disappeared.
In order to help more people benefit from Dafa, Mr. Qin and another practitioner bought a box of Zhuan Falun books, a video player, an audio player, and other things to teach people to do the exercises. They also went to other places, like forest farms in remote mountains, to spread Dafa. They gave a copy of Zhuan Falun to many people and taught them the exercises for free. Lots of people began practicing Falun Gong.
Mr. Qin had his own business dealing with discarded products. All his clients knew that he practiced Falun Gong. The people who delivered products to him all felt he was very dependable. His business got better and better. But after he and his wife were arrested by the CCP, his business stopped, and his clients were all very upset.
In April 2002, several police officers from the Jinshantun District broke into Mr. Qin's house and arrested the couple, and they even arrested their 15-year-old daughter, Qing Rongqian. When police agents beat and kicked Mr. Qin, dragging him into the police car, Qing Rongqian held her father tightly and sobbed. Former political and security section head Kang Kai, Qi You, and Luo Yutian kicked the young girl. Kang Kai kicked her in the head and face. She became very dizzy, and her face swelled. The police arrested her and took her to the detention center. They tied her up and interrogated her to obtain the names of more practitioners who had contact with Mr. Qin. She was detained for 80 days. When filing the detention form, Kang Kai wrote 18 instead of 15 as Qin Rongqian's age, as detaining underage children is illegal.
After Qin Rongqian returned home, she was expelled from school. She and her sister had to take care of each other. Their grandfather left his hometown in Shandong Province and came to look after the two girls. Jinshantun Fendou Police Station officers threatened him and forced him to transfer the residential registrations of the two girls to Shandong Province. After their mother was released from the forced labor camp in 2003, their residential registrations were transferred back.
It has been two months since Mr. Qin was persecuted to death. However, those responsible are still at large. Mr. Qin's wife and two daughters have frequented Jiamusi Prison and Jiamusi Procuratorate, demanding that the procuratorate file Mr. Qin's case. However, the procuratorate has refused.
Please pay close attention to this case and stop this persecution of Falun Gong in China. Let this tragedy not be repeated.
