(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, 16 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Jixian County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Tao Wei Held at the Jixian County Detention Center
Mr. Tao Wei went to the Fu'an apartment complex to distribute truth clarification CDs on April 22. Officers from the Qianjin Police Station arrested Mr. Tao and held him at the Jixian County Detention Center.
2. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Yuqing Held at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
On April 22 officers from the Fude Police Station in Wafangdian arrested Ms. Song Yuqing and took her to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp to serve a one and a half year term.
3. [Faku County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Zhiguo and Others Arrested
Officers from the Yemaotai Town Police Station and the Faku County Domestic Security Division ransacked practitioners' homes in Yemaotai Town on the afternoon of April 22. They confiscated several computers and some truth clarification materials. Arrested practitioners included Ms. Chen Shufen, Mr. Zhang Zhiguo, and Ms. Guan Yumei. Three non-practitioners who are family members were also arrested and released at around 11:00 p.m., after each of their families submitted a 1,000 yuan bond.

4. [Meihekou, Jilin Province] Ms. Ning Hongxia Illegally Detained
Two plainclothes officers from the Meihekou City Politics and the Judiciary Commission picked up Ms. Ning Hongxia from Shancheng Town on the afternoon of April 22 and ransacked her home. Ms. Ning is currently being held at the Meihekou City Detention Center.
5. [Jilin, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Min Facing One-Year Forced Labor Camp Term
Officers from the Shanqian Police Station picked up Ms. Yang Min at noon on April 1, 2011, and detained her at Jilin City Detention Center for 15 days. The authorities plan to send Ms. Yang to a forced labor camp term for one year. The police extorted 10,000 yuan from her family.
6. [Taonan, Jilin Province] Ms. Feng Shuying Arrested
Officer Zhang Zhiqiang, the captain of the Domestic Security Division, arrested Ms. Feng Shuying on the morning of April 21, when she was distributing Shen Yun DVDs at a bus stop. Later the police ransacked her home and confiscated Dafa books.
7. [Gongzhuling, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Guiying Arrested
At noon on April 23, Ms. Xu Guiying was managing her store on the fourth floor of the Wenzhou Business Center in Gongzhuling when a dozen plainclothes officers came in. The officers arrested her, confiscated her purse, and sealed the door to the store.
8. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhang Fuxian Held at the Nanhui Detention Center
Officers from the Huinan Town Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Fuxian and her husband on the afternoon of April 5, and ransacked their home. Ms. Zhang's husband was released at 8:00 p.m. Ms. Zhang is currently being held at the Nanhui Detention Center.

9. [Yantai, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Shaozhi and Ms. Pan Shumin Persecuted While in Custody
Officers from the Mouping Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Song Shaozhi, 54, and Ms. Pan Shumin, 50, on April 8 when they were talking to people about Falun Gong. Both practitioners are from Xiaoweizi Village, Longquan Town. Officers from the Longquan Town Police Station ransacked their homes and confiscated Dafa books and a portrait of the founder of Falun Dafa.
10. [Beijing] Mr. Xu Huaquan Arrested
Officers from the Chaoyang District 610 Office arrested Mr. Xu Huaquan at a subway station in early March 2011. Mr. Xu is being held at a forced labor camp.
11. [Nanyang, Henan Province] Ms. Li Meiyu Detained
Officers led by Zhang Zhenyi, captain of the Domestic Security Division of the Henan Oil Field Police Department, arrested Ms. Li Meiyu at noon on April 10 when she was talking to people about Falun Gong. They detained Ms. Li at the Tanghe County Detention Center and later transferred her to the Tanghe County Detention Center.

12. [Tangshan, Hebei Province] Ms. Gong Yanfeng Arrested
Fengnan police officers arrested Ms. Gong Yanfeng on April 18 when she was distributing truth clarification materials about Falun Gong. The officers also arrested Ms. Gong's son and confiscated a computer from her home.
13. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Both Mr. Wang Yanjun and His Mother Arrested
Mr. Wang Yanjun and his mother are from Yanerzhuang in Xinjixiang of Guan County. On April 12, Yang Jun, head of the Xinji Police Station, dispatched some officers to arrest them when they were talking to people about Falun Gong in Zhou Village. Mr. Wang is being held at the Guan County Detention House, and his mother is being held in Liaocheng.
14. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Police Ransack Several Practitioners' Homes
Claiming to be making a routine house call, officers went to Ms. Sun Sufen's home in Huangzhuang Village, Mengjia, Junan County on March 30, 2011, and ransacked her home.
On the afternoon of April 21, the Junan County 610 Office went to practitioners' homes in Tugou Village, Shizilu Town and ransacked their homes. The practitioners who were targeted in this round of persecution include: Ms. Lu Tongxiang, Mr. Han Tingjin, Mr. Hou Weili, Mr. Cui Jingang and Ms. Han Taiying.
15. [Changle, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Yancheng Arrested on April 19
Officers arrested Mr. Zhao Yancheng on the evening of April 19, 2011 and ransacked his home.

16. [Yueyang, Hunan Province] Ms. Zheng Xiulan and Ms. Zhang Huilian Arrested
Ms. Zheng Xiulan and Ms. Zhang Huilian from Lingji of Yueyang were arrested on April 21 when they were talking to people about Falun Gong. Both practitioners are currently detained at the Hubing Detention Center in Yueyang.
17. [Leshan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Ying Arrested
Ms. Liu Ying was arrested on April 12 and is being held at a Brainwashing Center in the Julong Hotel, Dashiqiao in Leshan City.
18. [Dingxi, Gansu Province] Mr. Yue Yongzhen and Others Detained
Officers arrested Mr. Yue Yongzhen and his wife Ms. Ren Fengqin on Nanchuan Road, Anding District of Dingxi City on March 12, when the couple was talking to people about Falun Gong. Mr. Qi Qingsheng was picked up the following day. Officers confiscated his computer and a printer. The practitioners are being held at the Longxi County Detention Center in Gansu Province.

19. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Zefen Arrested
Wang Zifa and others from the Domestic Security Division illegally arrested Ms. Li Zefen, who is in her late sixties, on March 28, when she was distributing truth clarification materials. They ransacked her home and detained her at the Huili Detention Center.

20. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Shufang Arrested
Ms. Huang Shufang from Wanchun Town in the Wenjiang District was arrested on the evening of April 21. Officers from the Wanchun Police Station ransacked Ms. Huang's home the next day.
21. [You County, Hunan Province] Ms. Song Saizhen Arrested
Officers from Zhuzhou National Security and the You County Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Song Saizhen from Huaji Community, Chengguan Town on March 19.
22. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Cai Xiuying Arrested
Officers from the Dongting Police Station in Wuchang illegally arrested Ms. Cai Xiuying at her home at noon on April 20, 2011. The officers ransacked the home and confiscated Dafa books. Ms. Cai is being held at the Dongxihu Brainwashing Center.
