(Clearwisdom.net) On May 9, 2011, Falun Dafa practitioners of greater Detroit, Michigan, gathered on Bella Isle to celebrate the twelfth annual World Falun Dafa Day and wish Master Li Hongzhi a happy birthday. Bella Isle is a beautiful island park in the Detroit River on the United States side. From the island, you can see both the United States (Detroit) and Canada (Windsor). It is a popular tourist destination. This Falun Gong activity attracted many visitors to learn more about the practice.

Ms. Xiao Guanyu, a student at Michigan University, said she has been attending the annual event for ten years and that the purpose of the event is to let more people learn the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution in China
