Practitioners Exchange Insights and Experiences
(Clearwisdom.net) Qiqihar in Heilongjiang Province is one of the places where the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted practitioners the most. According to incomplete statistics, as of November 20, 2010, 53 deaths resulting from torture had been confirmed. The oldest victim was 78-year-old retired bank employee Huang Jingkun, and the youngest was 23-year-old Wang Weihua.

Ms. Xu Hongmei and Ms. Shen Zili Died on the Same Day as a Result of Torture

At about 4:00 p.m. on January 13, 2007, officers led by Qingyunjie Police Station officer Yi Zhanhui broke into a home and illegally arrested Ms. Xu Hongmei, Ms. Shen Zili, and Ms. Hou Yaqian. They had previously decided to leave their homes to avoid being arrested and persecuted. Yi Zhanhui dragged Ms. Xu down the stairs from the fourth floor to the ground floor. When she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" the police kicked and punched her.
At the station, the police used torture to try to get the practitioners to confess. Ms. Xu Hongmei was tied to a bed with her legs and arms stretched far apart. The officers also hung her upside down four times and upright once. Finally she lost consciousness. Yi Zhanhui poured cold water on her to awaken her, so they could continue the torture. She was then locked up in a metal cage. Ms. Shen Zili was tied to a chair. The police grabbed her hair and slammed her head against a wall until she lost consciousness. They continued to beat her when she came to, and used other torture methods. No matter what methods the police used attempting to obtain a confession and information that would lead to the arrest of more practitioners, Ms. Shen Zili and Ms. Xu Hongmei would not give in. The women were on the verge of death on January 18, 2007 when the police transferred them to the Qiqihar Detention Center.

Qingyunjie Police Station officials arrested Ms. Shen Zili, Ms. Xu Hongmei, and Ms. Hou Yaqie without following legal procedures. Their families were anxiously looking for them, but when they inquired as to their whereabouts at the station, the police asked, "Who told you they were detained here?" Ms. Shen Zili and Ms. Xu Hongmei's families begged for help at the Qiqihar City 610 Office, the Qingyunjie Police Station, and Longsha District Police Department to have the women released. Qingyunjie Police Station head Gong Yanhui used every excuse to avoid meeting with the families and deliberately made things as difficult as possible.
Ms. Xiu Hongmei and Ms. Shen Zili were sent to the No. 2 Hospital on the afternoon of February 27, 2007, both on the verge of death, and both still handcuffed and shackled. As a direct result of torture by officers Yi Kanhui and Zhou Huanyu, both women suffered serious internal injuries. They were unconscious, coughing and spitting blood, and had muscle spasms, edema, and damage and/or failure of five internal organs. Their blood pressure had dropped significantly. They vomited everything fed to them and were emaciated.
After medical personnel injected them with drugs, both of them looked lifeless. They could not breathe and lost consciousness. Ms. Xu's 9-year old daughter, Tantian, cried because her mother didn't recognize her.
Ms. Xu died at 4:30 p.m. and Ms. Shen at 8:50 p.m. February 27, 2007, less than two weeks after they were captured. Ms. Xu Hongmei was only 37, and Ms. Shen Zili was 49.
Tiantian was arrested at the same time as her father and mother. She was under house arrest, living through the horror of being forcibly deprived of her parents' loving care. She grew up in an environment of discrimination, her mother now dead and father still in Tailai Prison. Tiantian has had to stay with her aging grandmother and does not understand why her father and mother were detained for being good people. She does not understand why the police murdered her mother.

Practitioner Mr. Pan Hongdong, 37, lived in Qiqihar. She was tortured to death in Tailai Prison at 8:18 a.m. on May 15, 2005. His body was covered with scars and wounds, there were bloodstains near his mouth, ears, and nose, and a round scar on his chest. There were also obvious bloodstains on his legs and back.

Xingongdi Police Station agents arrested him on September 4, 2001. Officers from the Tiefeng Criminal Police Team brutally tortured him in different ways, including shocking his genitals with an electric baton. He was tortured beyond recognition. He went on a three-day hunger strike and was later sent to the Second Detention Center in Qiqihar. In late 2002, he was illegally sentenced to ten years in prison. After the 2003 Chinese New Year he was sent to Tailai Prison.
While in prison, Mr. Pan was forced to work in a rice paddy every day and was frequently tortured. One of his ears was injured as a result of the gross mistreatment. In an attempt to make him write a guarantee statement, team leader Cao Minjiang ordered criminal inmates to torture him. They first hung him up with four separate ropes attached to his arms and legs, his body facing down. Blocks were then placed under his breastbone. They also put a metal ironing board out in the sun, then put him on the board to blister his skin. Cold water was then poured on him, which caused even more pain.

The prison forbid family visits starting November 2004. Mr. Pan was brutalized so badly that even some of the criminal inmates couldn’t stand to watch. When some of them tried to pass him a cushion to sit on, the guards berated them. On the day of his death, his screams were heard for a long time until one person yelled, “He’s just been beaten to death!” Then - silence.
Case 3. Mr. Liu Jingming from Qiqihar Chinese Medicine Hospital in Heilongjiang Province Died under Suspicious Circumstances in Tailai Prison

Liu Jingming
Mr. Liu Jingming from Qiqihar City, born on July 23, 1968, worked at Qiqihar City Chinese Medicine Hospital and was considered an "outstanding" purchasing agent. He began practicing Falun Gong in 1995 and conducted himself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He thought of others first before doing or saying anything. He was incorruptible and unselfish in his job. He treated people kindly and was considered a good person, recognized by everyone in the hospital.
Mr. Liu was sent to Tailin Prison on February 8, 2007. It took guards only 46 days to torture 39-year-old Mr. Liu to death. At 7:00 p.m. on March 24, 2007, guard Ji Hengtai of the Training Unit at Tailai Prison phoned Mr. Liu's home. He claimed that Mr. Liu died after "jumping out of a window" at 1:40 a.m. on March 24. Regime agents have often used this very same excuse when other practitioners died under suspicious circumstances.
Mr. Liu and three other practitioners were brutally beaten when they stood up to refute the lies during a meeting slandering Falun Gong just two days prior to his death.
At 11:00 a.m. on March 25, 2007, some of Mr. Liu's family members went to Tailai Prison. Guard Ji Hengtai claimed that the guards at the prison "cared" for practitioners. When the family asked about the cause of Mr. Liu's death, Ji Hengtai said, "We carry out forced 'reformation' of practitioners. He was very stubborn. He would not recite prison rules."

Concluding Remarks
These tragic cases are shocking and saddening. Falun Gong teaches people to abide by high moral standards and consider others first. Following Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance, Falun Gong practitioners are all well regarded at home, in the community, and at work. Who would ever complain about the sheer number of such good people? Why can the CCP not tolerate them?
Background Information on Falun Dafa
Falun Dafa is an ancient cultivation system deeply rooted in traditional Chinese culture. Ever since Mr. Li Hongzhi introduced the Great Law to the public in May 1992, it has spread to more than 100 countries and regions (including Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau), and has received more than 3,000 proclamations from different governments. The books of Falun Dafa have been translated into more than 30 languages and are now available in many places around the world. The principles inherent in Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance transcend racial, ethical, and national boundaries, and won high praise from numerous individuals.
However, this Great Law is being viciously attacked in China. Out of envy and personal interests, Jiang Zemin has openly persecuted Falun Gong since July 20, 1999. A secret system--the 610 Office was established under his directive back on June 10, 1999. Uncounted 610 Office agencies sprang up in all levels of government around the country, their sole purpose to carry out Jiang’s policy of “defaming practitioners, ruining them financially and destroying them physically.” Innumerable practitioners have been sent to forced labor camps and prisons, and their families destroyed.

French/Jewish sage Nostradamus stated the following in his book of prophecy, Centuries, hundreds of years ago:
“In the year 1999, seventh month,
From the sky will come a great King of Terror,
In order to bring back to life the great king of Angolmois,
Before and after Mars reigns in the name of bringing people happiness.”

The persecution of Falun Gong that began in July 1999 was just as Nostradamus described. The whole country was blanketed in horror. Qiqihar was no exception.
At around 4:00 p.m. on July 22, 1999, the Qiqihar TV station began non-stop broadcasting of “important news” from CCTV. The bloody scenes shown on TV could not have been further from the truth, and the fabrications against the founder of Falun Gong were unbelievably groundless and deceptive. The atmosphere was extremely suppressing and suffocating, as if another Cultural Revolution had just begun.
On that particular day, many practitioners in Qiqihar voluntarily went to city hall to peacefully appeal for Falun Gong. The Chinese Constitution states that citizens have freedom of belief. CCTV was slandering Falun Gong. Many practitioners sat in front of city hall, and many more watched from across the street. Police and government employees were stationed everywhere, and Domestic Security Division agents busily videotaped practitioners.
Two big buses pulled up, and more than two dozen armed police officers with helmets and rifles poured out to surround the practitioners. A loudspeaker inside the city hall courtyard issued demands that the practitioners leave immediately or face the consequences. No one was deterred, so the police led practitioners to the buses. It was the height of summer, and the fully-armed police officers were soaked in sweat. Some practitioners offered their seats to the police while others wiped the sweat off of them. There was no hostility at all in the police officers' eyes. It was apparent they were touched by practitioners’ gentleness.
Between noon and evening, several busloads of practitioners were taken to a suburban school and separated by their home regions. In each of the classrooms, practitioners clarified the facts to the police. One practitioner demonstrated the five exercises after an officer asked, “What exactly is your practice?” Seeing the gentle, slow movements the police all said, “There is nothing wrong with the exercises. You’re not using any force.” The police asked each practitioner to fill out a form telling where he or she worked and giving a home address and telephone number. After gathering information on all the practitioners, the police transferred them to their respective local police departments.
All those who went to appeal on July 22, 1999, were deemed primary targets to be persecuted. Qiqihar authorities assigned people to follow these practitioners and tap their telephones every day. They also pressured the practitioners’ workplaces and street committees to urge them to give up their cultivation.
Truth will never yield to power and violence however. Falun Dafa practitioners are not blinded by lies, nor are they deterred by torture. During the past ten years, practitioners in Qiqihar have peacefully fought the persecution and clarified the facts with an indestructible righteous belief and ultra-strong willpower. The courage of their sacrifices for truth illuminates heaven and earth.
(Clearwisdom.net) During the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) eleven-year-long inhuman persecution of Falun Gong, countless children have been subjected to discrimination, threats, illegal detention, and beatings, because they conduct themselves according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, or their parents are Falun Gong practitioners.
Falun Gong teaches people to cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Millions of people inside and outside China have received physical and mental well-being and upgraded their moral standards after practicing Falun Gong. Falun Gong has received much praise from the international community, and has been honored with 1,600 proclamations worldwide. The children of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners should be living in happy and harmonious families, full of joy. However, since the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, the regime has deprived these children of dignity and the comforts of family warmth. Tens of thousands of parents and relatives have been subjected to forced labor, detention, torture, and even tortured to death. The children have endured pressure and misery. They have lost everything, including their loved ones, source of living, family warmth, physical freedom, dignity, and right to an education. They have been expelled from school, and live in fear and become homeless. They barely survive.
They are Deprived of Their Parents' Care and Love, and Live a Difficult Life
1. Zhang Xiaolong was born in Nangouxicun, the Fangzi District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. He was 14 years old in 2006. His parents, father Zhang Chuanzheng and mother Guo Xiuhong are Falun Dafa practitioners. Since the beginning of the persecution on July 20, 1999, Xiaolong's parents were illegally arrested, detained, and tortured many times. Xiaolong experienced much hardship in his young life. As a very young child, Xiaolong was forced to leave his parents and live with his elderly grandparents.

Given his unhappy life, young Xiaolong has become very quiet. He doesn't understand why his parents were taken away, and why their happy family was broken apart. But he knows that his parents, who cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, did not commit any wrongdoing. He is very mature for his age. He never cried in front of his grandparents and never said he missed his parents to them. His school grades are always excellent, which gave some comfort to his grandparents.
In October 2002, his parents, who had already been forced into homelessness, were both arrested by the Kuiwen 610 Office, andillegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. In August 2003, they were sentenced to ten years in prison for no legally-valid reason. They were taken to Jinan Prison for persecution. Xiaolong's grandfather could no longer bear the pain, stress, pressure and anger he suffered due to the persecution, and passed away on February 22, 2006. Xiaolong could not accept the cruel reality, and stopped eating for the next five meals and couldn't stop crying. Yet, he never cried in front of other people. The poor child had already lived without the love and tender care of his parents for a long time, and now another hardship entered his young life -- his grandfather had left him too.

2. Xu Shuai is from Jilin City, Jilin Province. Before he began practicing Falun Gong, his mother left due to the poverty of the family. Xu Shuai lived with his grandmother and father, and started learning Falun Gong with them when he was six years old. He frequently participated in group Fa study and did the exercises at the local practice site. From then on, the family always felt full of peacefulness and warmth, even though they were still very poor.
Police and community personnel frequently came to harass his family. Xu Shuai's grandmother, Xia Guiqin, and his father Xu Weidong were illegally arrested, detained and subjected to forced labor terms. This has done irreparable harm to his young heart.
Xu Shuai's grandfather Xu Zilin was extremely worried about his wife and son, and was in such extreme despair that he died in October 2000. Xu Shuai's grandmother and father died as a result of persecution in 2004.
Xu Shuai now is without any care except for his aunt and uncle. He lives in his aunt's home. His aunt and uncle have lost their jobs, and they are in dire straits financially. Children Witness the Police Brutalizing Their Loved Ones
In May 2008, Zhang Heping, head of the 610 Office in Chenzhou, Hunan Province, said to Mr. Liao Songlin and Mr. Liao Zhijun, who are father and son, "We want to completely destroy your family." Officials ransacked their home and confiscated their personal belongings. Jiajia, age 6, was standing there petrified and clinging to her mother. Jiajia didn't dare to say anything, and was illegally arrested by officers from the State Security Bureau. She witnessed the officers' brutality towards her parents and grandparents. Jiajia and her grandmother were released at midnight, and were to be taken home in a police car. She told her grandmother that she'd rather walk. As Jiajia was still shaking with fear, her grandmother had to lift her into the car. She was left traumatized by the whole experience. Becoming Homeless
1. In April 2009, Liao Xiaohong and Shi Jiaoyu, a couple from Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, were arrested by local police officers. Their home was ransacked and their personal belongings were confiscated. When their daughter Xiaolianhua returned home from school, she couldn't enter the house and was left standing outside the door. By nightfall she was crying, as she was alone without any help.

2. Ms. Li Shuxia's 14-year-old son was terrorized and tortured. Ms. Li lives in Yanshan, Cangzhou, Hebei Province. In October 2002, Yanshan police climbed over the wall and broke into Ms. Li's home, then ransacked it. When Ms. Li's son cried, the police gagged his mouth with dirty rags they used to clean the car, handcuffed him, and detained him in the basement of the police department. The police also physically and verbally abused him to try to get information from him about other Falun Gong practitioners. The boy was released following a two-day hunger strike. The police threatened his grandfather that they would send him back to the police department two days later. To avoid persecution, the boy had to live away from home and beg for food.
Deprived of the Right to Go to School
1. Seventeen year-old Liu Zhen was the daughter of practitioners Ms. Gao Lihua and Mr. Liu Zigang from Wuqiao County, Hebei Province. In June 2003, police officers from Wuqiao and Jing County requested that Liu Zhen be suspended from middle school for more than ten days. They wanted to set a trap to catch Liu Zhen's parents. At that time, Liu Zhen was about to take the entrance examinations for high school or technical school, which she wanted to attend after graduation from middle school. Because of the suspension, Liu Zhen was unable to prepare well enough for the entrance examination, which affected her scores negatively. Wuqiao County Police Department officials also issued an order that the high school of that county should deny enrollment to Liu Zhen. On March 8, 2004, Liu Zhen's mother, Ms. Gao Lihua, died because she had suffered from deep mental anguish and constant anxiety over a long period of time. 2. Daughter of Mr. Guo Hongshan and Ms. Sun Yufeng: When Mr. Guo and Ms. Sun learned Falun Gong, their illnesses disappeared. Their health improved, and along with it their spirits improved as well, and the family lived a very happy life.
After the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, officers from from the Qinhuangdao Police Department repeatedly harassed them in their home. The couple was also repeatedly harassed at work. In March 2001 Ms. Sun had a mental breakdown under pressure from the authorities. Mr. Guo was detained in May 2001 and was repeatedly tortured by the police. By late 2001, Ms. Sun was sent to a mental hospital, where she was held for ten months. In July 2002, Mr. Guo was sentenced to seven years in prison.
While the couple was detained, their daughter had to live by herself. At the time she was in high school. As she prepared for the university entrance examinations, she had to go to study sessions in the evenings alone. Even under such circumstances, she passed her entrance examination in 2003. Since her family had no income, however, she was forced to give up the opportunity to attend college. Pursued, Detained and Forced to Flee
1. Tie Long, of Shao Village, Liu Chun Town, in Dingzhou City, Hebei Province, was 15 years old in 2003. In March 2003, he had to stop going to school and became homeless, because he clarified the truth to his teacher using a CD and other informational materials. His schoolteacher reported him. Liuchun Police arrested Tie Long and took him to the town government building, where he was handcuffed to a tree and beaten by the police until they were tired. When they left to take a break, Tie Long managed to escape.
Tie Long was forced to wander around homeless to avoid being persecuted. Officials arrested his older brothers, uncles, aunts, all of them, and they were brutally beaten as police attempted to track down young Tie Long. Due to the trauma, his uncle can't get out of bed and he can't look after himself.
Young Tie Long made his way to his grandmother's home, but he didn't dare stay there for long. He left in a hurry, as he didn't want to get his grandmother into trouble. The police followed him and came to his grandmother's home later. They beat his uncle and aunt badly, then broke into their store and ransacked it. When they asked where they could find Tie Long, his aunt said, "I don't know." The police then took his aunt to the detention center, and she still hasn't been released. Soon after, they arrested Tie Long. He was detained at the Dingzhou Detention Center. His father was also detained.
The police released Tie Long's father, and demanded he pay them 10,000 yuan to release Tie Long. Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, their home has been ransacked several times, and there is little left to give, so Tie Long's father could not give them any money, and Tielong wasn't released. 2. Liu Xiaotian was born in December, 1985. His family lived in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. His father Liu Qing and mother Yang Yuyan are Falun Gong practitioners. Prior to 2001, Liu Xiaotian's family led a happy life. He went to the local middle school and led a carefree life.
When he was 16, on November 23, 2001, a Friday afternoon, Liu Xiaotian was in the classroom. Police came to his school and told his teacher that his parents were detained. They asked for him. A classmate overheard it and ran to tell him that his parents were in trouble and the police wanted him. Hearing this, Liu Xiaotian quivered with fear. He ran out of the school without taking anything. He hid in a neighbor's storage room for the night. Around midnight, he sneaked across the road to check out his home. He saw that the windows of his home had been smashed, as had the furniture inside. His neighbor saw him and offered to let him stay at his place. Two or three days later though, the police went to the neighbor's place, and told them that if they saw Liu Xiaotian and didn't report it to the police, they would be punished. The neighbor decided not to report him but to give him some money and send him to his only relative, an uncle who is a farmer in Fujian Province.
Five or six months later, one day in May, 2002, the local police came to his uncle's home. Liu Xiaotian immediately hid. He didn't know what the police said to his uncle, but after the police left, his uncle became very silent. That night, his uncle asked a friend to send him to Shenzhen, a city that is close to Hong Kong. He hid in a huge warehouse filled with piles of sacks. He dared not speak to anyone and thus spent a year in fear and anxiety, suffering great depression. He spent a lonely year in this warehouse, having no one to talk with and suffering many hardships, both physical and mental. In June 2003, his uncle, who did not have an easy life, borrowed a lot of money to pay smugglers to get Liu Xiaotian out of China.
On July 1, 2003, Liu Xiaotian arrived in Denmark. Regrettably, several hours later, the smuggler took him to the Copenhagen railway station and left. Having experienced so many threats and deceptions, Liu Xiaotian became very fearful. He quivered at the sight of police. An old Chinese lady took him to a refugee camp. Deeply frightened, he couldn't speak properly nor could he fill out forms. He was mostly afraid of being sent back to China and put in the hands of the Chinese police.
With the help of the staff in the refugee camp, Liu Xiaotian got into contact with Denmark Falun Gong practitioners. He cried. The first words he said to them were to ask them to look for his parents. He missed his father. He missed his mother. Because of what he had gone through, he couldn't express himself clearly. He also couldn't read. He often cried and had nightmares. It took Denmark Falun Gong practitioners a year before they could really learn from him his story and about his suffering.
His uncle, who still lives in China, told him for the first time that his parents had died in April 2002 from torture, five months after they were detained. No one knows exactly what happened or where they died. The uncle told Liu Xiaotian that in May of 2002 the local police visited him, and informed him of the death of his parents. Died or Pushed to the Verge of Death as a Result of Persecution
1. Liu Qian was a third-year student at Gegezhuang Village Primary School in Xiong County, Hebei Province. On November 15, 2003, she was diagnosed as having acute leukemia, and her life was in danger. Her parents remembered that they had once read a miraculous story from a Falun Gong flyer, so they took Liu Qian home and read the Falun Gong book together. Liu Qian recovered completely seven days later, and she could move freely, and felt like a joyous bird, flying among people. All her relatives were amazed at the effect of Falun Gong. However, two months later, school began. The principal learned about this and forced Liu Qian to write a guarantee statement promising to give up Falun Gong, and demanded that Liu Qian renounce Falun Gong or she could not go to school. Liu Qian said, "I would have died by now had I not practiced Falun Gong." She refused to write the guarantee statement, so the principal forcibly sent her home. The sudden deprivation of the right to go to school was like a hard blow to Liu Qian's head, destroying all her dreams for the future. Under such heavy pressure, little Liu Qian's physical health and mental state worsened. On the fifth day, twelve-year-old Liu Qian died in a state of depression.

2. Qu Jianguo is a 16 year-old high school student in Laishui County, Hebei Province. In August 2009, he was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer. His family spent all of their savings and even accepted donations from relatives, neighbors, school teachers, and classmates to pay for his medical expenses, but after spending 150 to 160 thousand yuan on various medical treatments, including chemotherapy, his condition did not improve. The hospital ran out of options to treat him, and the family brought him home, resigned to their fate. Jianguo then started studying the Fa and doing the Falun Gong exercises. The pain in his leg gradually disappeared, and he recovered his health. He was grateful from the bottom of his heart, and wrote an article "High School Student Survives Bone Cancer after Practicing Falun Gong" and submitted it to the Minghui/Clearwisdom website to tell his story. They are pressuring him to sign a statement claiming that his illness was not healed from practicing Falun Dafa, and if he refuses he will face expulsion from school or worse.
Falun Gong helped the two children who were hovering between life and death to regain their health, but the CCP's suppression of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance caused the death of one of them, and pushed the other to a dangerous situation. 1. Young Falun Gong practitioner Xuelian from Qiqihar wrote in her article published in 2009, “How My Happy Childhood Turned Miserable,” “I asked myself repeatedly, 'Falun Gong is so good, but why does the CCP say it's not?' After the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong, my father was taken into custody. I was left alone and had no one to depend on. I suffered condescending looks and discrimination. When I returned to school, the principal, director, and other school leaders all came to my class and asked me, "Can you give up practicing Falun Gong?" I said, "I can agree with you on anything else. But it is not possible for me to give up practicing Falun Gong." Every day when I went to school, it felt like going to hell. The principal, director, journalists, and police from the local police station frequently called me to the office and met with me, which was broadcast and could be heard in all classrooms.
“I felt so pressured by all the mistreatment, I could hardly breathe. I felt miserable and helpless. My body and mind were on the verge of total collapse. No matter where I went, people considered me a burden and treated me like a monster or some non-human species. I frequently stayed at home, lonely and crying. Sometimes I didn't eat for several days.
“My dad and many other uncles and aunties are still imprisoned and are suffering from brutal persecution. I wish my dad would come back home. I wish many miserable children like me could reunite with their parents. 2. In 2005, Congcong was eight-years-old and in second grade. Congcong's father and mother are both Falun Dafa practitioners. Congcong's father and mother have often been harassed by police, and forced to leave home several times to avoid near-certain arrest. Why? Because they tell people the truth about how Falun Dafa has been persecuted and the beautiful things that Dafa has brought to people. One night, after he came home from school, the innocent young face of Congcong looked sad. His aunt asked him what had happened. Congcong said that the assignment his teacher gave that day was for all the students in the class to write three wishes from their hearts. His aunt asked Congcong with a smile, "What do you want to write?" After thinking for a while, Congcong said, "First of all, I want to have a peaceful, stable family. Secondly, I hope my father and mother won't be taken away by the police and that I don't need to worry about them any more. Thirdly, I want to be as happy as other children." Congcong should be as playful and happy as other children. Why has he had to endure so much pressure beyond his years? This is only the tip of the iceberg under the evil tyranny of Jiang's regime.

Mr. Qin was arrested in 1999 and subjected to three years of forced labor. He was arrested again in 2002. Mr. Qin was then subjected to ten years of imprisonment and detained in Jiamusi Prison.

Mr. Qin’s wife Ms. Wang Baoyu was imprisoned twice, and was arrested and sent to a brainwashing center in November 2010. Mr. Qin’s older daughter, Ms. Qin Rongqian, was also arrested by the police and was severely beaten.
The “Harsh Management Team” in Jiamusi Prison
Not long ago, Jiamusi Prison set up a “Harsh Management Team” for the purpose of reaching an 85 percent “transformation” rate among Falun Gong practitioners. Since February 21, 2011, selected practitioners have been handed over to the “Harsh Management Team.” They have not been allowed to bring any personal belongings or daily necessities with them. Every practitioner is watched by several prisoners and is under constant pressure every day to write statements renouncing Falun Gong. All of their rights have been taken away, including family visitation, phone calls, purchasing daily necessities, etc.
Mr. Qin Yueming was transferred to the “Harsh Management Team” on February 21, 2011, and died six days later.
Arrested in 1999 and Subjected to Three Years of Illegal Imprisonment
Before the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Mr. Qin Yueming ran a business collecting waste materials in the Jinshantun Area of Yishan. His wife is Ms. Wang Baoyu. The couple have two daughters. The family enjoyed a happy life.
After the persecution began, Mr. Qin Yueming appealed to the local government to explain the truth about Falun Gong along with another 40 practitioners on October 18, 1999. Officials sent the police to arrest all of them.
The police illegally detained the practitioners in a meeting room and interrogated them in turn. They didn’t allow practitioners to sleep, and took away all of the practitioners’ rights, including family visitation, phone calls, purchasing daily necessities, etc. Practitioners were separated and forced to sit on cold wooden benches. At around 9:00 p.m., Meng Xianhua, the head of the 610 Office, came and began yelling at practitioners, and severely beat some of them. In addition, he forcibly administered unknown drugs to practitioners. At around midnight, over ten police officers came to transfer Mr. Qin to the Jinshantun Detention Center.
To protest their illegal detention, practitioners went on a hunger strike. On the morning of October 20, 1999, officials from the local government, the police department, the Procuratorate, and the court conspired together and illegally sentenced Mr. Qin to three years of forced labor. He was sent to the Yichun Forced Labor Camp.
Subjected to Ten Years of Imprisonment
From April to July 2002, officials from the Jinshantun government sent police to arrest a number of practitioners, including Mr. Qin Yueming and his wife Ms. Wang Baoyu. The police illegally ransacked their home. The practitioners were detained separately in the detention center, and were tortured by the guards.
Meng Xianhua, head of the 610 Office, ordered guards to torture Mr. Qin with beatings, verbal abuse and insults, tying him to a tiger bench, tying him up with ropes (1) and other abuses. The torture left Mr. Qin with broken ribs and a fractured leg. He was unable to walk.

Suffered Severe Beatings in Jiamusi Prison and Tortured to Death
On April 25 and 26, 2004, section head Liu Wei at the No. 4 Ward of Jiamusi Prison and political head Jia Qiming assigned prisoners to continuously persecute practitioners for five days and nights. They didn't allow practitioners to sleep, and poured cold water over practitioners’ bodies after taking their clothes off.
After the guards' brutality against practitioners was exposed to the public, guards in the No. 4 Ward applied extra pressure on practitioners on February 17, 2009 by not allowing them to have contact with others. In particular, guard Guo Jianmin intensified his persecution of practitioners by conducting searches and tightening up his control.
At around 9:00 a.m. on February 17, guard Guo Jianmin abusively yelled out practitioners' names. Mr. Qin Yueming went to see what was going on. Without saying anything, Guo began hitting Mr. Qin, and said, "I have been upset with you ever since I saw you and have been wanting to beat you." Guo beat Mr. Qin for a long time, repeatedly hitting him in the face until his mouth was disfigured. At around noon, inmate Zhao Li ordered Mr. Qin to lie down, but he refused. Zhao then began hitting him. Several inmates helped Zhao force Mr. Qin to the floor. Zhao beat and kicked him, causing his nose to bleed and his eyes to swell. Mr. Qin's face was covered with blood.
Mr. Qin Yueming was tortured to death on February 26, 2011, six days after he was transferred to the “Harsh Management Team” in Jiamusi Prison.

Mr. Qin’s Wife Wang Baoyu Subjected to Unlawful Imprisonment Twice and Sent to a Brainwashing Center in November 2010
When Mr. Qin Yueming was illegally arrested in April 2002, his wife Wang Baoyu explained the truth about Falun Gong to the police, but they arrested her as well. Several days later, Ms. Wang was taken to Harbin Women's Forced Labor Camp, and was illegally detained there for two years.
On the morning of October 4, 2007, officers from the Jinshantun District 610 Office and Fendou Police Station again broke into Ms. Wang's home. They ransacked her home and took her away. After being detained for 18 days, Ms. Wang was subjected to one year and nine months of forced labor. She was sent to the Drug Rehabilitation Center of Heilongjiang Province at midnight on October 22, 2007.
Because the couple was illegally detained, their two daughters had to leave school. Mr. Qin and Ms. Wang previously took care of their parents, but the two girls had to make a living to support the family and take care of their grandparents.
Ms. Wang was released in September 2009. She and her two daughters were forced to leave their home in order to avoid further harassment from the Jinshantun District 610 Office. However, seven officers from Jinshantun District broke into Ms. Wang’s apartment on November 16, 2010, and sent her to Yichun Brainwashing Center, which is inside Yichun Forced Labor Camp. One officer with the surname of Gong left his phone number: 86-13664582799 (Cell).
Mr. Qin’s Older Daughter Qin Rongqian Arrested and Tortured
When Mr. Qin was arrested by police in April 2002, his 14-year-old daughter Qin Rongqian was terrified and sobbing. She clung to her dad's clothes, trying to stop the police from taking her father away. The two officers, Kang Kai and Qi You, punched and kicked her. When she fell to the ground Kang Kai kicked her in the head and face. She was taken to the police station where she was threatened, insulted, and interrogated. She was deprived of sleep and forced to stand the entire night. Kang Kai and Qi You tied her up and beat her about the face. She became dizzy, her face swelled, and there was a bump on her head.
Ms. Qin Rongqian was held in a detention center for 30 days, and was interrogated several times during the detention. Even though she was only 14, Kang Kai and Qi You put her age as 18 on the police documents and ordered her to sign them.

(1) Tying the rope: A type of brutal torture, refers to putting a thin nylon rope around the back of a person’s neck, and then wrapping it around both shoulders down to each arm loop by loop, and then over each hand. The rope is tightened to its limit and it cuts into the flesh. Both arms are forced behind the back and raised to the extreme, and then both thumbs are tied with a rope and locked to the rope that goes around the back of the neck. The person tortured in this way is then kicked to kneel down on the floor. The rope is released about one hour later, and then the person is tied up like this again a second time, then a third time, etc.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Peng Xibin from Lanzhou, Gansu Province has been detained for many years, from his fifties to his sixties. He is still being held in Lanzhou Prison. He is imprisoned because he wants to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
The following statement testifies to the persecution Mr. Peng Xibin was subjected to in the early years, which was disclosed by a Falun Gong practitioner who knew Mr. Peng.
It was reported on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website on March 14, 2011 that guard Duan Baofeng, who worked at the Eleventh Division of Lanzhou Prison, tortured Mr. Su Anzhou, Mr. Luo Xiufeng, Mr. Peng Xibin, Mr. Yang Xuegui, and Mr. Shao Yanbo to the point of serious disability. Among those Falun Gong practitioners, I knew Peng Xibin.
The events occurred at the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp in 2001. Guards had transferred Mr. Peng from one division to another several times because he would not give up his belief. The labor at the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp was mainly field work. Generally farmers utilize all kinds of machinery to work in the fields. However, in the camp, all work was done by hand. Detainees used spades to turn the soil and hoes to work the fields. This is very intensive physical labor. It was said that Mr. Peng fainted several times while working in the field. The guards tried to make him write the three statements, but he always wrote how wonderful Falun Dafa is and how people benefit from practicing Falun Dafa, then quoted Master’s words to clarify the truth to the guards. Some detainees said, “He memorized his Master’s words.” The guards also quietly admired him.
I haven't heard from him since that time. I have recently heard that he was severely persecuted in Lanzhou Prison. Mr. Peng was heavily sentenced in 2002, which means he was sentenced soon after he was released from the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp.
A summary of Mr. Peng’s situation in 2000:
Mr. Peng Xibin is a veteran. He went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Gong. On the night of December 31, 1999, because he practiced the exercises at Tiananmen Square, he was taken to a police station. He was brutally beaten three times because he would not give his name. After being escorted back to Lanzhou, he was detained for 15 days. The second time was in April 2000. He and nine other practitioners went to Beijing to practice the exercises at Tiananmen Square. He was arrested and detained for another 15 days after he went back to Lanzhou. On May 24, 2000, Mr. Peng was arrested in Xinkai Township, Shandan County, Gansu Province. He was beaten and detained there for 15 days. On June 28, 2000, Mr. Peng received a call at home from the Wuquan Police Station in Lanzhou, ordering him to appear at the police station. When he arrived, he was arrested and sent to the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term.

(Clearwisdom.net) One day last year a business meeting erupted into laughter when a marketing manager said, “We must work hard to prevent fire, theft, and the government!” All those present were well-educated people with bachelor’s or master’s degrees, and their laughter only attested to one thing. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) represents the same kind of threat as fire and theft. We Chinese people are family oriented, and we are always cautious of potential fire or theft. We also have one more item on our watch list... the CCP.
Regarding safety concerns, I’d like to remind everyone, especially those interested in watching the news, that the top priority in preventing the CCP from harming us is to scrutinize its news items, which not only deceive but also poison and even warp the minds of Chinese people. There have have been many lessons in this regard. When it comes to the persecution of Falun Gong, numerous incidents have spoken to the lack of validity of what’s shown on TV. Below are a few examples that demonstrate how the Communist regime police have extracted information from minors in attempts to bring false allegations against their Falun Gong practitioner parents.
Case 1: The Miserable Childhood of an 11-year-old Girl in Wuhan City, Hubei Province
Eleven-year-old Qing Qing no longer wants to go to school. To get out of going, she has even tried to run away from home. She doesn't fear studying—that's far from it. When she was at school she often just sits quietly and studies her books. She may have even learned to read and write better than other children her age. But she is still haunted by the memories that come back to her every time she goes to school.

Memories of what happened in school still makes her tremble with fear. In 2008 Qing Qing's teacher told her to come with her to the office. Qing Qing followed her teacher to the office and found several strangers waiting for her. They asked her questions about her mother, Ms. Hu Huifang, who is a Falun Gong practitioner.
Her mother had taken her to a winter camp at the Cailin Guest House in the Hongshan District in Wuhan City on February 11, 2008, during the Chinese New Year. While she was teaching a class at the winter camp, a group of plainclothes officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Wuhan City Police Department charged into the classroom and detained her and Ms. Chen Man, another teacher who is also a Falun Gong practitioner. That was the last day Qing Qing saw her mother.
Only now did Qing Qing understand who the strangers really were. They asked her a few questions and carefully took notes. At the end of their questioning they told Qing Qing to sign her name and put her fingerprints on the notes they had taken. As a nine-year-old, she didn't understand why the officers were asking her questions, and even less did she realize what they had written in their notes.
The notes that the officers obtained from the child became “evidence,” which was presented in court during the trial of Qing Qing's mother on April 16, 2009. Ms. Hu Huifang was sentenced to four years of incarceration at the end of the trial and sent to the Wuhan Women’s Prison in July 2009. When Qing Qing later saw her mother in very bad shape in prison, she became distressed.
The police still often go to Qing Qing’s school to intimidate her. She is now terrified that she might at any time run into the officers at school again. Without her parents' protection, the school has become a truly horrible place for Qing Qing. Every time she is told to go to school, she panics.
In the persecution of Falun Gong, the Communist regime has virtually "hijacked" every segment of society. It fabricates lies and causes untold harm to families, especially their children.
Qing Qing has endured the on-going persecution in China over the last 11 years. There doesn't seem to be an end in sight for Qing Qing's suffering.

Case 2: Wuhan Police Target Lu Hai in Their Attempt to Persecute His Parents
In late 2010, police twice invited a boy named Lu Hai to dine at a fine restaurant. He was able to watch videotapes of his parents, whom he hadn’t seen for many years. The officers acted friendly and chatted casually with him. The restaurant owner may have felt happy for Lu Hai, but little did he know that the child was just a second Qing Qing. By the way, the police videotaped Lu Hai at both gatherings.
Lu Hai previously had a happy family. Both his parents are Falun Gong practitioners. His mother, Li Shihong, is a woman with kind heart and loves to help others. His father, Lu Qiqi, 46, is a state-registered engineer. As the main technical person in charge, Lu Qiqi designed many local buildings. His moral standards are high. His boss praised him by saying, "Other folks come here to make money from the company. Mr. Lu is here to make money for the company." Mr. Lu started practicing Falun Gong in 1997 and follows the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. However, ever since the regime started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Lu Hai’s parents have been repeatedly jailed and tortured.
Mr. Lu Qiqi was arrested again in December 2007 while distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in Shenzhen City. Baoan District Court in Shenzhen sentenced him to four years in prison. He is currently in Shaoguan Prison in Guangdong Province.
Lu Hai’s 70-year-old maternal grandmother, Ms. Song Wenxiu, was arrested in front of her house at noon on March 31, 2009. Participating in the arrest were Yu Jiming from the Danshuichi Police Station and officers from the Jiangan District Police Department. The officers ransacked her apartment and confiscated 1,200 yuan in cash. When Lu Hai’s mother, Ms. Li Shihong, got home that afternoon, she was also arrested and detained. Doing the dirty deed were Luo Lin from the Domestic Security Division, officers from the Jiangan District Department, and Yu Jiming, Yuan Qinghong, and Wan Baozhu from the Danshuichi Police Station.
In order to fabricate so-called “evidence” against Ms. Li Shihong, the police turned to her son, Lu Hai. A few days after her arrest the police went to Lu Hai’s school and interrogated him. After extracting the needed information, they forced him to sign and put his fingerprints on the paperwork. They returned in June 2009, during mid-term exams. They ordered his head teacher to take him to the office, where they pressured him for two hours to disclose whom his mother had contacted, and what she had done. Lu Hai was unable to bear this and called his aunt when he went to use the restroom. His aunt rushed to the school and took him home.
Despite their tactics, the police were turned down three times when they attempted to bring allegations against Ms. Li Shihong. Under pressure, the local court eventually accepted her case in December 2009, and sentenced her to four years of incarceration. She is now at the Wuhan Women’s Prison.

The CCP is no different than criminals when it comes to Lu Hai and his family. The police confiscated thousands of yuan while ransacking the family's home. Worse yet, the CCP deprived his family of their freedom of belief, which was their only guarantee of happiness. The police officers that harassed Lu Hai at his school made it impossible for him to maintain a normal child-parent relationship. Those that took him to the fine restaurant were not any better, since they used deception to deprive his family of their freedom of belief while trying to make them lose the courage to sue the perpetrators. In a nutshell, the police were trying to take away the family’s bright future built upon the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance so they could pocket dirty money should Lu Qiqi and Li Shihong give up their belief under pressure.

Case 3: Lawless Police Force Falun Gong Practitioner's Teenage Son to Act as a Witness at an Autopsy
In Fucheng County, Hebei Province, a group of Fucheng police drove to a place called Jiangcun on February 23, 2002, to look for a 16-year-old boy named Liu Dong. They told him that they were there to take him to see his critically-ill father. The teenager was then driven to the Fucheng County Hospital and taken to the fourth floor, where he had to wait a couple of hours. When the police finally told him he could see his father, Liu Dong asked to wait for his mother. They insisted that he go in first since they had no idea of when she would arrive. They next led him to a shabby room on the southeast side of the hospital.
It is normal for a child to visit his ill father, but why did the police have to drive a long way to find Liu Dong? And how did his father end up in the Fucheng County Hospital? Below are some details.
Practitioner Liu Qiusheng lived in Qingdong Village, Cuimiao Township, Fucheng County, Hebei Province. The police arrested him on February 2, 2002, and took him to the police department. Deputy police head Kou Wentong, and Zhang Zhijun, head of the Political and Security Division, tied him up and tortured him for over an hour until he lost consciousness. It was learned from inmates that Mr. Liu was later beaten many times and was force-fed on a death bed.
Within 20 days, between February 2 and 22, 2002, this strong, healthy 44-year-old man was tortured to death. In order to cover up their crime, the police, including Kou Wentong, went to the village Party branch head. They colluded to trick Liu Qiusheng's 16-year-old son, Liu Dong, into leaving his factory job, to be present in the autopsy room, and to act as a witness.

Why did the police deceive Liu Dong about seeing his father? Did they want him to bid farewell to his father? No! As a matter of fact, by law, a family member needed to be present. If Liu Dong’s mother had come, she definitely would have questioned the cause of death. But with Liu Dong, it would be a different story.
Teen-aged Liu Dong had already suffered so much as a result of his father's death due to torture. He was traumatized when he saw the doctor cutting open his father's dead body. The police notified Liu Qiusheng's wife after the autopsy was finished. His wife saw that his ears, face, lips, right shoulder, and right side of his chest were black and blue, yet the official autopsy report claimed, "No external injuries were found. Cause of death was fatty heart disease."
Liu Dong first had to accept the death of his father, and was then forced to witness the autopsy! The police used his presence at the autopsy to declare his father’s death a result of natural causes, not torture!

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of May 27, 2010, police officers from the Qiannanzhou 610 Office and the Dujun 610 Office broke into the home of Mr. Liang Rongqi, ransacked his home, and arrested him. Mr. Liang was sent to the Qiananzhou Detention Center in Guizhou Province.
On October 28, 2010, the Duyun Court sentenced Mr. Liang to six years in prison. Mr. Liang submitted an appeal immediately. The Beijing attorney that Mr. Liang hired wrote to the Qiannanzhou Intermediate Court to ask for a public trial. Judge Yuan Hui responded that Mr. Liang's attorney would be informed about the trial. However, on March 16, 2011, without informing the attorney, the court did not go through the normal appeal trial procedure but rather directly dispatched personnel to the detention center, saying the court's decision on Mr. Liang's case was upheld.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Xiwang from Hebei District, Tianjin is a factory owner. He and his wife Chen Liyan were illegally arrested on December 21, 2010, in front of their home by officers from the Dayingmen Police Station in Hexi District. The police ransacked their home and factory and confiscated their personal property. Tens of Falun Gong practitioners were arrested that day. Mr. Li Xiwang has been detained in the Hexi Detention Center for almost four months.
Policewoman Dai went to peer into Mr. Li’s home under the guise of collecting a rental fee on December 20, 2010. Officers from the Dayingmen Police Station stopped the couple at the doorway the next day at about 10 a.m. The police confiscated about 5,000 yuan and three cellphones the couple was carrying. The police also confiscated their van, computer and printer at the same time.
The police also ransacked Mr. Li’s factory at Menquanmen, Hebei District and confiscated cellphones, computers, printers, Falun Dafa books and materials, etc. Several cases of tape were also taken, which caused the factory to stop manufacturing and brought big financial losses to the factory.
The police confiscated about 500 yuan from Mr. Li’s son and about 1,900 yuan that Mr. Li’s mother-in-law had earned selling corn. The sudden arrest left no one to take care of Mr. Li’s young child at home. Mr. Li’s mother-in-law could not see clearly because she was terrified and worried about her daughter and son-in-law.
Mr. Li was sentenced to eight years in prison because he practices Falun Dafa. He was detained in the Gangbei Prison, where he was brutally tortured. The guards handcuffed his hands to a pole and forced him to face the ground. They put very heavy shackles on his feet and tied his feet to two poles. One foot was tied at a higher position than the other. He was tortured this way for 28 days.
According to the guards, since this torture method was put in use, no one has survived after five or six days. When Mr. Li's hands and legs were untied from the poles, they did not expect him to still be alive. Mr. Li had urine and feces on his pants, which were very malodorous. This incident shocked the Gangbei Prison; the prisoners realized the miracle of Falun Dafa. Mr. Li was confined in a small room of about nine square feet alone. There is no window in the room and only a small door which is used for passing meals.
The police tracked down others based on Mr. Li Xiwang’s phone contacts. No matter whether the person was a Falun Gong practitioner or not, they just took him away. Some people were arrested just on the police’s guess and there was no evidence of anything. The police did not do any investigation and directly sent the people they arrested to brainwashing centers or forced labor camps. Some people were detained and interrogated just because they do business with Mr. Li.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Yin Jianhui, a practitioner from Shijiazhuang, was arrested in November 2007, and later transferred to Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp to serve a two-year term, where he was physically abused under police orders, by prison inmates. In November 2008, a very sick Yin Jianhui was picked up by his family. And yet in May, 2010, Yin Jianhui was arrested again by the police. As a result, Yin Jianhui is nearly blind, and his body has severely swollen.
Mr. Yin Jianhui was arrested in November 2007, for distributing Falun Gong information pamphlets, and the security head of Yongding Village, Zhengding County reported him to the police. Zhengding Public Security Bureau arrested him and took him to the local detention center. He was then sent to serve two years at the No. 5 Brigade of Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.
Brigade 4 & 5 of Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp was formally used to hold women Falun Gong practitioners until the establishment of Hebei Women's Forced Labor Camp, when they transferred all female practitioners there. Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp is now primarily used to hold male practitioners.
As soon as Mr. Yin arrived, Zhang Li, a group leader of No. 5 Brigade, ordered two inmates to watch him around the clock. They forced him to squat facing a wall, with his eyes open, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. On another later occasion, he was forced to sit all day on a small bench. During this time, Mr. Yin refused to wear the prison uniform, so he was stripped down to his underpants for days, and forced to kneel down with two inmates stepping on his legs, as ordered by counselor Du Yugui.
After a series of tortures, Mr. Yin completely lost sight in his right eye, and his left was nearly blinded as well.
In November 2008, Mr. Yin was so weak that he vomited every time he ate. The forced labor camp didn't want to take any responsibility so they called his family to pick him up.
In May 2010, Mr. Yin was arrested by Shijiazhuang Jianshe Street Police Station, when he was distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts CDs. He was detained for 15 days. Police officer Liu Ning subsequently wanted to send him to forced labor, but Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp rejected him. During this time, the police forced Mr. Yin to sit on an iron chair. He was released due to his serious health situation.
After days of torture, Mr. Yin became numb all over. He is almost blind. His body has swollen, he has no energy, and he was unable to sleep.

(Clearwisdom.net) I was very afraid of my father when I was young, and felt that he was very strict. Although my father loved us very much, he even joked sometimes by saying, “If you have to choose between father and mother, who will you choose to stay with?” We didn't hesitate to tell him that we would choose mother.
After my father began practicing Falun Gong in 1998, he changed completely. Sometimes when he was on the verge of losing his temper, he held it, because Falun Gong requires practitioners to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. My father liked his friends visiting him because my mother was against him smoking. However when his friends visited, my father had an excuse to smoke. It wouldn't look nice if he didn't treat his friends with courtesy. But after starting Falun Gong practice he quit smoking and my family was full of harmony.
Sometimes some of my father's friends who practiced Falun Gong came to our home. Even while many people were talking, we had a feeling of tranquility, and no one used swear words. Among the practitioners was a man who was relatively chubby. My father told me that the man was a bully who knew martial arts, and even people in the police station were afraid of him. After practicing Falun Gong, he totally changed. His former friends asked him to be their head of the gang, but he refused.
Among other friends was a former politician, who after practicing Falun Gong, became impartial and would not accept any bribes. An old lady in her seventies began practicing Falun Gong, and looked younger. Her skin also became delicate with no wrinkles. From all the Falun Gong practitioners, we could see that Falun Gong was not only a general healing and fitness exercise, but also purified peoples' minds, and taught people to become good.
In those days my father was very happy, as he had received something valuable. Each day, he studied the Fa and did the exercises. He also voluntarily went to the countryside to teach other people how to practice Falun Gong. He bought Dafa books and gave them to his relatives and friends, even including those relatives living far away. He said that Falun Gong was so good that he hoped people around him would all practice it. He promoted Falun Gong like this from his mouth and his heart.
When I was young I heard my father warn my elder sister. If her classmates at school organized some kind of parade to go to Tiananmen Square to do something, she should never participate. I also often heard my father talking about how the CCP was doing all kinds of evil deeds. At the end of his speech, he would say that we should only care about our own stuff and should not care about other events. However, in 1999 when the CCP began to persecute Falun Gong, my father decided to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Before he left home, he told me again and again about how to take care of myself while he was gone. Now thinking about that, I realize that my father knew at that time what was waiting for him based on his understanding of what the CCP had been doing.
After my father came back from Beijing, we had no peace at home. Almost every day the police station sent someone over to our home. Sometimes they sent people to our home several times a day. They would ask my father to write a guarantee letter, promising to give up his belief, nothing more than that. My father, who was timid before, was surprisingly firm. Facing the threat from these people, my father declared, “Falun Gong teaches people to be good. It is obviously a good practice. I will not say that it is not good and act against my conscience. The reason that I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong was also to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and I wanted to spread the truth. I did not do anything bad that would harm society. If the government resumes our right to practice Falun Gong, and clarifies the rumors they made about Falun Gong, no one would want to go to Beijing.” At the same time, my father kindly warned them to treat Falun Gong practitioners well. During the Cultural Revolution, the so-called eliminating the old-four traditional Chinese culture, many temples were demolished. The people who participated in the destruction had tragic ends to their lives. Elderly people all knew that persecuting divine beings and Buddha is punished by heaven. In fact, when there were fewer people around, some officers at the police station said, “Those people who practice Falun Gong are all good people. We don't want to do this. It was all because of the pressure from the leaders. The police have no choice.”
But in the end, my father was sentenced to a two-year forced labor camp term because he went to one of his fellow practitioners' home, and was accused of a trumped-up charge of “disturbing public order.” Two-years of forced labor camp was hard to imagine. After my father returned home, he told us that it was an unspoken rule that the head prisoner would beat up any new prisoner. When my father first went there, the head prisoner was ready to fight him and asked my father why he was sent there. My father told him that it was because he practiced Falun Gong. After hearing that, the head prisoner did not beat him. However police put shackles on my father for two weeks because he did the exercises. In the forced labor camp, each day he had to do some overtime work. He had to eat very dirty food, with some black spots floating on the top. He was often beaten, verbally abused, and physically punished. In the winter, police dragged him outside to suffer in the cold weather. Sometimes they even poured cold water on his body. In the summer, they forced him to bake in the hot sunshine. However, such inhumane torture did not waver his firm belief. I remember the day when we went to pick him up. At the prison's office, my father looked much older after two years of torture. However facing police's threat, “You must sign your signature to guarantee that you will no longer practice Falun Gong. Otherwise, you will continue to be detained here.” My father remained calm and said, “That's impossible.”
Although he restored his physical liberty, police still harass my father, and he had to leave home. Thus, we had less time to see each other and more time separated. One year during the New Year's day, my mother took me to see my father. My father said jokingly, “Come and visit my pretty house.” It was a very small room. A small bed took much of the space. There was a mosquito net. Behind the bed, there was a computer, a printer, and CD burner which was used to prepare some Falun Gong truth clarifying materials and CDs.
Earning a lot of money, supporting the family, and having a home, were once my father's goals in life. During this brutal persecution of Falun Gong, my father lost everything because he firmly believed in his practice. But my father was calm. Under such situation, he continued preparing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials with no regrets. Far more than my father himself, hundreds and thousands of Falun Gong practitioners, despite of such suffering, persevered in danger to peacefully tell people that Falun Dafa is good, and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. They want no repayment and only think about the future of each and every Chinese person. Let's think, if China is banning Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, then doesn't it want to follow “false, wicked, and violent?” Where will China go? Time will tell. Falun Gong practitioners' feat of defending the truth is the backbone of China's bright future. The truth-clarifying materials that Falun Gong practitioners deliver is the hope of Chinese people.
(Clearwisdom.net) Following my release from a forced labor camp in the summer of 2008, due to my family’s financial circumstances I had to go work in a far-away city. The working conditions were complicated, and the hours were long. My job was to work at a window service where large numbers of customers came and went every day. As I was responsible for multiple tasks at the same time, I had little time to rest. I was unable to find local practitioners, and neither could I get Master's new lectures or the Minghui Weekly. I could not get truth-clarifying materials. The environment was a huge contrast to that back home.
I felt it was way too difficult for me to cultivate in such an environment since I hardly had time to send righteous thoughts. I wanted to go home to look for a job so that I could cultivate in a much better environment. That situation persisted, and a year or so later, I realized that it was wrong to think like that. Dafa practitioners should be able to cultivate and do well anywhere. It was possible that this environment could help me improve, eliminate some of my attachments, and, furthermore, there could be people waiting for me to offer them salvation. No matter how hard the environment is, I should not forget what a Dafa disciple should do. I should not forget to do the three things well. Thereafter, I began to shift my mentality to its correct path.
1. Studying the Fa Whenever I Could; Paying Attention to the Quality of Fa-study
There was very little time left for me to study the Fa after I finished doing the five exercises in the evening, so I had to study the Fa during the day. I normally studied the Fa in the mornings at work since there were fewer customers. I also used my lunch hour to study. I studied the Fa whenever I could, regardless of how much or little time I had.
I was initially unable to keep a tranquil mind when I read the Fa. As a result, I could only read a little bit, and the effect was poor, too. To solve that problem, I adjusted my mentality not to be affected by my surroundings. After that, I was able to study the Fa in tranquility. After persistently studying the Fa, I started to notice that my job responsibilities had been reduced, and thus I had more and more time to study the Fa. Through studying the Fa regularly, I also found that I could always be within the Fa, and was able to measure myself against the Fa; my xinxing was enhanced as a result.
2. Overcoming Difficulties, Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts Hourly
My job kept me me from sending forth righteous thoughts during the four set global times. I could only follow the global schedule once a day, at midnight. I had tried to send righteous thoughts at work, but since the job load was heavy, I was unable to focus on it. I was deeply concerned about it until after I shared my concern with a fellow practitioner. He told me that maybe I could think that, since I was doing the most righteous thing in the universe, nothing was allowed to interfere; the normal tasks could be pushed back. I added that thought when I sent forth righteous thoughts that night at home, and it worked. After that, I had less work to do every day, which allowed me to keep to the schedule of sending righteous thoughts. If I do not have anything to do during other hours, I also send righteous thoughts. After I intensified my righteous thoughts, I no longer experienced as much interference and had more time to do the three things.
3. Overcoming Tribulations; Clarifying the Truth to Sentient Beings
Practitioners in the area where I work were persecuted severely, and very few people knew the truth of Dafa, and few people had quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. I realized that I should distribute truth-clarifying materials to a large area to help more people understand Dafa, but I could not get the materials since I was unable to find practitioners in the local area.
I began to make materials myself, but it was far from sufficient. Then I brought back materials from my hometown every time I visited my family. To avoid the checkpoints at the railway stations and bus stops, I took a mini-bus. Taking advantage of me, however, the bus driver overcharged me. Afterwards I realized the reason I was taking the mini-bus was my fear of being caught. After studying the Fa, I learned that, as long as I had strong righteous thoughts, I could demonstrate the bountiful power of Dafa with which I could overcome all kinds of difficulties. I switched to taking the regular, long-distance bus.
I sent forth righteous thoughts before taking the bus to eliminate all of the evil influence behind the staff at the bus station. When I approached the checkpoint, one staff member was reading the newspaper and his loudspeaker was silent. I passed through the checkpoint safe and sound. On another occasion I needed to take a train. At the checkpoint I repeatedly sent forth righteous thoughts, and compassion arose as I did. I felt that we should save the staff members at the train station, so I sent righteous thoughts for 30 minutes. When I passed the checkpoint, the staff there did not even seem to notice me.
I also posted hand-written truth-clarifying messages on walls inside apartment building hallways, on power poles and elsewhere. Since they took a long time to write, I kept very strong righteous thoughts as I did so to prevent any interference. I needed to keep a very stable mindset and constantly sent righteous thoughts. One night a plainclothes police officer followed me while I was writing messages inside an apartment building. I had not studied the Fa well, and neither had I sent righteous thoughts during the day. As I left the building, he followed me. I started to run, and he chased me. Just then I remembered an article from the Minghui/Clearwisdom website on how to stop the evil forces from interrupting with truth-clarification. I said: "Freeze! Freeze!" Right after that, I heard a choking sound, and the person following me stopped running. After that incident I searched inside myself and found that I had not studied the Fa well and had not sent forth righteous thoughts well enough either. My mentality of doing things had accelerated and had thus given the evil forces an opportunity.
My workplace has a guarded gate, and it is not easy to enter and exit from there to distribute truth-clarifying materials. In addition, the employees, who also reside on the company’s campus, are prohibited from leaving the campus in the evenings. To leave in the evening, we have to apply ahead of time. I held a special position in the company, and they did not have very specific requirements for me. For a while I felt that my boss and his wife thought highly of me, and that I should take care of more tasks for them. With that thought, I attempted to meddle in some unacceptable conduct of other employees, but the situation worsened.
A male and a female sales assistant left the residential compound and did not return for the entire evening. By the time I realized that I should not have got involved in that matter, it was already too late; the evil also seized this loophole. Consequently, my boss and his wife told my family that I left the compound every evening, and they asked my family to stop me because they were worried.
After they did that, I became alert that they were interfering with me in carrying out truth-clarifying tasks. I searched inside and found that there were things in which practitioners should not get involved. Dafa practitioners should follow the requirements for practitioners. It was the boss and the managers’ responsibility to deal with conduct that violated the company’s rules and regulations. I should just focus on my own tasks and do them well.
I kept searching even deeper within myself and noticed that I had some other hidden attachments. For example, I felt it was unfair that other employees did not put forth as much effort as I did on our tasks. I realized this thought was the result of my jealousy. Immediately I began to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate those bad thoughts and also changed my bad habits.
After that, when things happened again and I was about to interfere, I thought of Master's teachings and stopped right away. Sometimes I stopped in the middle of a sentence when I realized I should not become involved. Gradually I completely eliminated that attachment. After that there was less trouble for me. The work environment improved, too, and my boss no longer interfered when I went out to clarify the truth.
I also write the truth clarifying messages on paper currency. Working at the cash register, I write such messages on about ten bills every day. When I give customers change, I insert one of the bills inside. When businesses around us ask me to make change for them, I give them some bills that contain the truth of Dafa.
I also clarify the truth to people in person and encourage them to quit the CCP. One student treated me like a relative after we first met. I knew we must have a predestined relationship, and he was there for me to offer him salvation. After I told him to quit the CCP to secure his future, he happily said, “You’ve rescued me! Thank you so very much. Let me go back to school and get everyone in my class to quit the CCP as well. I’ll bring the list of names to you later.”
4. Studying the Fa; Cultivating the Mind to Eliminate Karma
I was busy with my job in April 2009 and did not study the Fa well enough. Because of that, my attachments magnified, which gave the evil forces a chance to persecute me. I had extreme back pain one morning and could not do the exercises since I was unable to move. I did not know what I should do because I had never come across any interference like that since I began to cultivate in Dafa.
I called my practitioner wife, who traveled many miles to come see me and solve the problem for me. She told me to treat the issue as a practitioner, to stand up and walk as usual. Furthermore, I should do the exercises. I also searched inside myself. First of all, I knew that it was evil interference that caused my back pain. Secondly, I discovered numerous attachments, which the evil forces used to persecute me, as if they were helping me to eliminate my attachments. A few days later I also shared with two other practitioners who encouraged me to focus on cultivating my xinxing, especially at this stage, when the Fa-rectification has nearly reached the end. My cultivation needed to be more solid and stable.
Fa-study also taught me that, although I had cultivated for more than 10 years, some of my attachments had persisted. Because of them, the evil old forces had caused me to be incarcerated many times. This time the evil forces used the form of illness to persecute me.
After that I focused on genuinely cultivating myself, guarding every single word I said and everything I did. When I noticed that I had bad thoughts or had done something wrong, I corrected them right away. I also intensified my righteous thoughts to eliminate the conventional thinking that I had accumulated in this lifetime and attachments. I denied the evil arrangements, ignored my back pain, and walked as normal. No matter how badly my back hurt, I walked with my back straight. We did the five exercises together. My back hurt so badly that I almost fainted when I did them. I was soaked in sweat due to pain after I finished an hour later. After practicing for a few days, the pain was reduced. I continued doing the three things with righteous thoughts and behavior as usual. My back felt almost normal two months later, and was completely fine six months later. As a matter of fact, I felt better than before. I could feel that Master was always with me, even though there were no other practitioners nearby.
Practitioners in my hometown also sent me copies of the Minghui Weekly and Master's lectures as well as sent forth righteous thoughts for me. I knew that I was part of the body of Dafa.
Going through tribulations and tests in the past two years, I have become more mature and rid myself of my habit of always depending on other practitioners. I have found out how to walk my own path and deal with problems. I learned how to search inside myself. I know that I have eliminated lots of my attachments.
By studying the Fa, cultivating myself, and doing the three things well, my environment gradually changed; most of all, my work load has been reduced, and things are going more smoothly.
Although my work hours are still long, I have time to send forth righteous thoughts, especially at the four global times. Furthermore, there are no longer any obstacles to prevent me from distributing materials in the evenings, and my boss no longer cares. I also get along well with my co-workers, and my boss approves of my work abilities. He has increased my salary numerous times; thus my family is able to get out from under financial difficulties.

On the afternoon of July 29, 2010, the Second Retired Officials Sanatorium held a meeting, and representatives from the military court came to give lectures on law. They called and asked me to attend the meeting. After the lecture was over, they asked for comments. After several retired officers shared their views, no one else said anything. I stood up and said, “We Falun Gong practitioners follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be good people. Master Li Hongzhi told us not to fight back when punched or insulted, and to be better people. Practicing Falun Gong violates no laws in China, so why are we being persecuted? What crime did we commit? I want to say that the Chinese Communist Party is the real cult. It worships lies, evil, and fighting. It is responsible for the deaths of more than 80 million people during its movements. I'd like to ask you all to please compare Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to falsehoods-evil-fighting. Which one is better?”
Officer Zhao tried to stop me, but I continued, “Falun Gong has spread to more than 100 countries all around the world. Doesn't this prove that Falun Gong is good? Only here in China, the Chinese Communist Party doesn't allow people to practice it.” Several soldiers came to me and tried to stop me. So I said even louder, “Everyone, please remember, Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Quit the CCP and its associated organizations to be safe.”
They dragged me out of the meeting place to the clinic, so I clarified the truth in the clinic. After the meeting was over, officer Zhao came to the clinic and told me, “The superiors will not allow you to distribute truth-clarifying materials to officers and soldiers.” I said, “I only listen to my Master. Master asked us to save people. Anywhere there are people, I will clarify the truth.” He didn't say anything. I went home and brought Dafa disks and materials back to the clinic.
I am over 80 years old. For a while, my leg was painful and I had difficulty breathing when going upstairs. Then I looked inside. I felt the reason for this pain was that my righteous thoughts were not strong enough. I should cultivate my speech and eliminate the attachment of showing off. When I enlightened to this and improved myself, the physical symptoms went away.
I have been sent to brainwashing sessions twice. The first time was during the first six months of 2004. One morning, I was taken away to a brainwashing center. The person in charge was slandering Dafa. When I was having lunch, I told the cafeteria staff that Dafa is good. Afterward, the brainwashing session personnel wouldn't allow me to eat in the cafeteria, and they packed a lunch for me. But I made use of the lunch time to clarify the truth in the hallway, and opened the window and talked to people passing by. I also tore down all the posters with the evil's slander. They didn't transfer me. Instead the brainwashing session was dismissed. On the eleventh day, they sent me back home.
The second time I was taken to a brainwashing session was in the spring of 2010. One day while I was not at home, 610 Office personnel, local police officers, and street agents broke into my apartment and confiscated many things. Three days later, they came again. I was sitting on the bed while sending forth righteous thoughts. Two people dragged me downstairs and shoved me into a car. I shouted, “These people stole my belongings two days ago, and today they've returned to take me away!” On the way down, I also tried to clarify the truth to them. When I saw a group of soldiers, I shouted loudly, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
When the car stopped at the brainwashing center, I refused to get out. They carried me to a bed on the third floor. I continued doing the meditation exercise until lunchtime. After having lunch at the cafeteria, I started clarifying the truth to people. They listened quietly. Later, I was not allowed to eat in the cafeteria, so I stayed near the door. Whenever anyone came, I asked them to remember “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good, Falun Dafa is good. Quit the CCP to be safe.” I put all the magazines and newspapers that slandered Dafa into the garbage can. I repeatedly told the brainwashing session personnel that it is a citizen's right to practice Falun Gong, and that persecuting Falun Gong is against the law. Good is rewarded with good, and evil is met with evil is a heavenly principle. I helped many people quit the CCP. Nine days later, the brainwashing session ended, but more than thirty people had quit the CCP.
All these experiences helped me realize that only if we keep our thoughts righteous, and have the pure thought of saving people with compassion and righteous thoughts, can we definitely do it well.
(Clearwisdom.net) I used to be vain, cynical and foolish. A friend introduced Falun Dafa to me in 1994, but I wasn't interested. It was not until 1998 when nothing had helped to make me well that I started cultivating Falun Dafa. Though I am not very diligent, Teacher has given me hints, lessons, protection and care, so I could cultivate.
1. Torture Marks Healed Overnight
In 2004, I was illegally arrested when distributing Dafa truth-clarification materials in our local area. In Xinzheng Prison, Henan Province, I joined other practitioners in a hunger strike to protest the persecution of practitioners. We were force-fed by the guards. Eight guards held me down when force-feeding me. Then, they put special shackles on my feet. Those shackles had four sharp steel teeth pointing at the tip of the ankle bones. Whenever the foot moved, the teeth cut into the ankle. The guards ordered two criminal inmates to make me run in circles so that the teeth would continuously cut into my ankles. I realized what they were up to after running a half circle and refused to move one more step. I was able to convince them to stop this torture.
When I was carried back to the cell by practitioners, there were four bloody holes on my ankles. Practitioners were all in tears. At that moment, I had a very strong righteous thought: "Ignore it. Sit down to do the meditation! I have Teacher, I have the Fa. My feet will be fine!" I don't know when I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was the next day and the other practitioners were doing the exercises. I looked at my feet and there was no longer any injury.
A practitioner told me, "We all saw last night that when you fell asleep, your feet were as red as the sun." I felt that Falun had been rotating around my feet and legs the whole time. This miracle left us all in tears.
2. Practitioner Saved from Blindness
In 2002, I went to Beijing to validate the Fa. I was arrested and detained at the Taipingqiao Police Station, along with a dozen practitioners from all over the country. We were locked in a metal cage without food for four days. One practitioner was a railway track switchman from Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. He was short but strong. His left eye was swollen as big as a fist after being beaten by police.
Seeing his face in such terrible shape, I cried. I feared that he might become blind. He said, 'Fellow practitioner, don't cry. It does not matter. I have Teacher, I have the Fa. I won't be blind."
It was ten degrees below the freezing point, but the police opened the door and windows. Under Teacher's protection we didn't feel the cold. I held that practitioner's hand. The next day, his eye was completely recovered, shining very beautifully.
It is such an unprecedented opportunity for us that Falun Dafa is spreading throughout the universe. There are many miracles taking place along our cultivation paths, all due to Teacher's enormous grace.
Tears ran down my face while I recounted the above stories. Now I have a better understanding of Teacher's boundless grace.

(Clearwisdom.net) I am close to 70 years old and began to cultivate in Falun Gong in 1997. I did not have a formal education, I had only attended night school. On the path of cultivation I have always felt Teacher’s benevolence and care for me. I want to use this opportunity that Teacher gave me to write down an unforgettable experience that deeply touched me.
In the winter of 2005, my husband passed away. Because I had not entirely given up sentimentality, the old forces exploited the loophole. My physical condition became truly bad. My whole body was sore, and my lower body was so cold that it felt like I was wearing a pair of icy pants. My hand often fell when I sent forth righteous thoughts, and I often fell asleep when studying the Fa. There was a period of time when I could not sleep normally. I would be woken up by visions of evil as soon as I fell asleep. Sometimes when the evil approached me, I would become immobile, and could not make a sound even though I tried as hard as I could. I kept yelling “Mie” and finally my mind became clear and I was able to move again when I yelled “Teacher help me!” Once, I saw evil beings drifting in the room in human shapes, and another time I saw thousands of coin-sized dark minions aggregated together in the restroom. Teacher said in the article “Eliminate the Dark Minions With Righteous Thoughts,”
“The number of dark minions is large, while in this dimension their manifesting bodies are quite small. They range from being as big as a coin to as small as the tip of a pen; most of them are the size of a pen's tip.”
I sensed that I had been persecuted by the evil. But I did not look inward at the time. Rather, I just tried to resist it with a human being’s ways. I carried a cold towel with me when I sent forth righteous thoughts, and used it to wipe my face when I felt sleepy. Once at 3:30 a.m., a gentle voice woke me up: “It is time to get up and do the exercises.” I got up immediately, but found no one else around. I knew immediately that it was Teacher helping me. I was moved to tears. Later when I sent forth righteous thoughts, I vividly felt that a hand gently held up my falling hand. I cried, with tears all over my face, thinking: “Teacher, I am truly sorry. As a disciple, I have done so poorly. But you are always next to me and take care of me.” Thinking of that feeling today still makes me cry deeply.
I deeply felt the urgency of saving people and did not relax during that time. One day, I went out to distribute Dafa informational materials on a bicycle, and used up all my materials exactly as I finished the last home. I knew Teacher was encouraging me. On my way home, it felt that someone was pushing me from behind. Teacher was just next to me and helping me. It further enhanced my righteous thoughts and strengthened my determination to overcome my tribulations.
Dear Teacher, it is you who held up my hand and helped me every step of the way. Without you, I could not have moved an inch. I remember some fellow practitioners gave up in the early days. But I told myself: “I will never give up no matter what.”
We cannot fathom how much Great Teacher has endured for his disciples, all sentient beings, and the whole cosmos. I feel that I am so much in debt to Teacher and I have no excuse to relax. I deeply feel that one needs to be steadfast when faced with tribulations.
After millions of years of waiting we finally are at a time of coexistence for the divine and mortal, and are able to meet with Teacher again. On this path of going back to my original self, it was Teacher who always held my hand and held me up when I fell. I want to hold your hand and keep going forward, Teacher.
(Clearwisdom.net) I began practicing Falun Gong in 1997, and I'm now in my sixties. During the persecution of Falun Gong under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I became blind, which has brought many difficulties to my later cultivation path. However, nothing can interfere with me and my progress in cultivation, nor undermine my determination in my belief in Teacher, Falun Dafa, and solid cultivation.
Clarifying the Truth and Saving Sentient Beings to Fulfill Our Mission
As Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, doing the three things is a must.
Seizing the time to save sentient beings is our historical mission. In order to fulfill our mission and save more sentient beings, clarifying the truth among only family members and relatives is not enough. With kind help and encouragement from fellow practitioners, and also with the great support of my husband who is also a practitioner, I finally managed to step forward and clarify the truth to more people and help them with the three withdrawals (withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations). Through working well with other practitioners, I have been clarifying the truth more and more effectively. Usually another practitioner and I walk up to a person and greet him or her. After we break the ice, one of us takes the lead in talking, while the other acts as an assistant, sending forth righteous thoughts. This works well for us. My blindness can be an advantage in clarifying the truth to strangers, as I am not affected by their expressions, our surroundings, etc. in the least. I can now be a “main member of the cast” to a larger extent. Based on each individual's situation and his or her level of acceptance, I adjust my mindset and what I say to clarify the truth. During this process, I have truly come to feel the protection of benevolent Teacher and the power of the Fa. I have also come to feel that sentient beings are longing to be saved and I have seen their happiness and gratitude after learning the truth and proceeding with the three withdrawals. I would like to share a few of my experiences clarifying the truth with fellow practitioners.
One day Practitioner A, who is also a senior practitioner who received minimal education in her youth, and I ran into an older man riding a three-wheeled vehicle with an elderly lady. Seeing that the lady was not doing well, I ask her about her health. She said that she had heart disease. Then Practitioner A and I began to clarify the facts to her. We talked about why there were so many natural calamities in China, and about the corruption of the CCP, atheism, why so many people oppose heaven and earth, Buddhism, and the CCP suppression of its own people. I also talked about what Falun Gong was, that Dafa practitioners were good people who lived according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and how the CCP relies on "deception, evilness and struggle" and doesn't allow people to be good. In order to incite and deceive people into hating Falun Gong, it plants false evidence and frames Falun Gong practitioners. For example, it fabricated the self-immolation incident, among others. It has committed great sins against heaven, Buddhas, and gods, therefore, the heavens will eliminate it. We also talked about why doing the three withdrawals would ensure one's safety. We talked until she fully understood the facts. In the end, we gave her an amulet (1) and asked her to tell her family members about what we discussed. After she took the amulet from us, she held it with both hands to show her respect, and had tears in her eyes. She said, “Thank you. Please come back and save me again!”
A few days later, we ran into this elderly lady again. As soon as she saw us, she began greeting us from a distance. She said, "That day, after I got home, I talked to my daughter about what you told me. But she didn't accept it. Instead, she said that she would burn the amulet. I was so worried that I told her right away, 'You can't burn it. Let me return it to them.'" She kept the amulet and didn't let her daughter see it again.
After a while we ran into a middle-aged women pushing a wheelchair with an older man in it. We saw that the man was the husband of the elderly woman whom we ran into the other day. The middle-aged women said, "He is my father. We are going to the hospital since he is not feeling well." We then asked, "How is your mother doing?" She said, "She is doing well. She often rides a three-wheeled vehicle to take my father for a ride." The other practitioner then talked to her about how we clarified the truth to her mother. After listening to us, both the daughter and father accepted the truth-clarification materials and also agreed to do the thee withdrawals. When we ran into the elderly couple again, the husband was doing well also.
Another time, this practitioner and I ran into two women. We walked up to them to greet them, but they responded by doing hand signs, so we understood that they were deaf. We tried to talk to them, and it turned out that they could understand us. We began to clarify the truth to them about Falun Gong, about the cause of natural calamities, and ways to ensure one's safety. Seeing that I was blind, they asked me to sit down and listened to me very attentively. After I clarified the facts to them, I asked them to remember "Falun Dafa is wonderful" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful." I asked the other practitioner to write it down on a piece of paper, and then gave it to them. After that, they practiced reading it. Even though I could not understand their pronunciation, I could truly feel that they were reading it with sincere hearts. In the end, they held the piece of paper tightly with both hands, had tears in their eyes, and didn't want us to leave. Later I heard from the other practitioner that when she turned around and looked at them after we had walked for a distance, they were still looking at us.
We are Dafa practitioners, here to assist Teacher in Fa-rectification. Therefore, as long as we are on the Fa, we should always think about sentient beings, and have strong righteous thoughts. Our wisdom and abilities will then be extraordinary, which is hard for ordinary people to comprehend.
When the practitioner and I were clarifying the truth to a few university students, we thought quickly and spoke rationally. We went from the fact that in ancient China, wise emperors respected heaven and earth so that they had good years, to the countless calamities in this day and age as a result of the evil CCP fighting against heaven and earth. We discussed that Falun Gong teaches people to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be good people, to the "deception, evilness and struggle" promoted by the CCP and its encouraging people develop hatred against one another. We also mentioned that good and evil are rewarded accordingly, and in due course, heaven will eliminate the CCP, as well as that only by doing the three withdrawals can one ensure one's safety. They listened very carefully and proceeded with the three withdrawals. Both of them happily accepted the amulet we gave to them, and thanked us. In the end, they asked me what my profession was. I replied by saying that I didn't have one. They were quite surprised and asked, "How do you know so much?" I told them, “Because I'm a Falun Dafa practitioner.”
Cultivating and Elevating Myself Amidst Conflicts
Teacher said in “Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital,”
"Cultivation is about cultivating one's self. No matter what kind of state emerges, you need to take a hard look at yourself.”
“If whenever something happens you instantly jump into who's right, whose problem it is, and how you have done, then while on the surface it looks like you are resolving the conflict or tension, in reality that's not the case at all. On the surface it looks plenty rational, but in reality that's not rational at all. You haven't taken a step back and fully cast off your attachment, and then thought the issue over. "
I belong to the ranks of those who are impatient and rather ill-tempered. Because of that, I have run into conflicts with other practitioners from time to time. Each time, I came to realize that the harm I brought to other practitioners was the result of my attachments, and I felt deeply sorry for them.
Practitioner A and I often went out together to help people with the three withdrawals. One day, Practitioner B, who recently stepped forward, went to a park with us to clarify the facts. B was leading me, and we lost A on our way. Next day, the three of us went out to clarify the facts again. Practitioner B mentioned along the way that she had had a dream. In her dream, there were three eggs. When one began to roll, it collided with another one, and both of them broke. She also heard Teacher whisper in her ear, “Take showers in the mornings and evenings, for one to do the exercises in the mornings, one needs to get up early.” B asked me to try to enlighten on what her dream meant. I couldn't figure it out. While we were talking, A began to mention how the three of us had lost contact with each other the day before. A and I insisted on our own understandings of it, and we ended up in an argument. Then none of us behaved like a practitioner. Seeing that we were arguing, B got worried and said, "Please stop arguing. Doesn't it affect what we do?" As soon as she said that, we both stopped arguing. Why did we come here? Who'd be happy about our arguing? Weren't we being taken advantage of by evil specters? Gradually we became clear on the meaning of the dream. The three eggs represented the three of us, and when we were together, we easily ran into conflicts. Wasn't this an enlightenment to all of us? I also came to enlighten that it was Teacher using Practitioner B to remind us that every morning and in the evening, just like washing our faces, when we see our bad attachments, we should clean them up, so that we can behave like a true practitioner at all times. After that, our conflicts were resolved, and the three of us were in high spirits. Moreover, we did very well helping people with the three withdrawals that day. We managed to help about seven or eight people withdraw, which truly reflects "One’s gong level is as high as one’s xinxing level." (Zhuan Falun) When our xinxing was improved, we were more effective in doing things. For the sake of practitioners' elevation and moving towards maturity, Teacher has been enlightening and helping us all along!
During our cultivation, when we ran into conflicts with everyday people, we usually were able to hold ourselves to the requirements of Dafa. "...as a practitioner one should not fight back when being punched or insulted." (Zhuan Falun) We were tolerant to others and did not care about their attitudes, so that we were able to display the demeanor of practitioners. However, when we ran into conflicts with other practitioners, we didn't do such a good job. We thought that since we both were practitioners, we should each be tolerant of the other, so we relaxed the requirements on ourselves. We ended up arguing with each other non-stop. Sometimes we used Teacher's Fa to suppress others in order to cover up our own attachments. We were trying to raise ourselves and suppress others, which resulted in harming other practitioners. Also, in other people's eyes, when husband and wife are both practitioners, if they can help each other strive forward vigorously together, others will be envious. However, in that situation, it's even harder to keep ourselves under control when we run into conflicts. We need to improve our xinxing to pass the test.
One time when I was home, I called my husband. I didn't hear him respond and thought that he hadn't heard me, so I called him again, but he still didn't respond. I clearly knew that he could hear me this time, which made me really upset, and I started to call him for the third time. He still didn't respond! I thought he was doing it on purpose. I became furious and thought to myself, “Is he doing this to me on purpose? Is he bullying me because I can't see? What a practitioner!” At that time, my anger, resentment, feeling of being wronged, lacking help, etc., every emotion flared up. Even though I was keeping myself from speaking out, all the emotions kept expanding inside my chest. My chest started to hurt, there was something stuck in my neck, and my tears kept coming. I was almost at the point of shouting, ready to let everything out.
Just then, one righteous thought hit me, "I'm a practitioner." After that, "When it is difficult to endure, try to endure it." (Zhuan Falun) echoed in my ears. I tried to bear the pain and began to recite, "When it is difficult to endure, try to endure it." word for word, for once, twice, and three times... I recited it so many times, faster and faster. Suddenly I felt that my entire body became very soft, and all the discomfort disappeared. My mind became empty but was also clear. Whatever I felt before, like resentment or worry, all disappeared. I couldn't remember anything. I truly came to feel the wonderfulness of, "After passing the shady willow trees, there will be bright flowers and another village ahead!" (Zhuan Falun) The entire process didn't last very long, yet the changes involved were tremendous. There were many miraculous pieces that were hard to describe. I can only say, “In any situation and conflict, as long as you treat yourself as a practitioner, remember Teacher's Fa, and strengthen your righteous thoughts, you can surely pass the test.”

(Clearwisdom.net) I am 66 years old and have practiced Falun Dafa since 1997. Over the past 13 years, under Master's compassionate care, I have passed one test after another with righteous thoughts.
Walking On the Path to Godhood With Righteous Thoughts
After I read, “Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference" in 2000, I knew I should go to Tiananmen Square to validate the Fa. I was ready to leave and wrote a letter to my family saying, “Today's situation is not a conflict among people but is demonic interference. What the government has said are lies created by Jiang. I am going to validate the Fa.”
In the two or three hours before I was about to depart, I received a copy of “Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America.” While reading Master's new lecture, I had a thought that I would go and come back quickly, and would then send the new lecture to other practitioners.
Because of my righteous thoughts, after I validated the Fa in Tiananmen Square, the evil could not take advantage of me. The police just said, “Go back to where you came from.” That night, under Master's arrangement, I wrote a letter to the local Politics and Security captain. Two days later, I was able to deliver the new lecture, “Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America,” to other practitioners.
Using righteous thoughts, I negated the evils' plot at the beginning of Fa-rectification. In 2000, 2001, and 2002, several practitioners told me that the police knew about my situation and were trying to find me. However, I always treated it with righteous thoughts. After Master told us to send righteous thoughts, I did so to eliminate the evil each time. I thought, "Evil, you cannot enter my home. If you do, you will just give me the chance to eliminate you.” Those who were manipulated by evil factors really didn't dare to enter my home.
Following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I had a peaceful relationship with my mother and mother-in-law when they were in their last days. My husband originally treated my mother very well. After I started to practice Falun Gong, he started being mean to her. At first, this upset me. When my mother brought me trouble, I didn't dare reply loudly. Many times when I sat down in meditation, I shed tears and said to Master in my mind, “How can I put down the attachment of feeling upset?” I regretted that I did not do well. Gradually Master changed my cultivation environment. My practice benefited my mother and mother-in-law, and because of this I was admired by my relatives and friends, who changed their incorrect opinions about Falun Gong, including several of my in-law's.
Negating the Old Forces' Persecution in Real Cultivation, Not Just With Words
Master said in “Fa Teaching Given in Manhattan,”
“...when your righteous thoughts are inadequate and not in line with the Fa, you will be cut off from the Fa’s power, and it will seem like you are alone and getting no help.”
When I saw or did something that didn't feel right, it was usually at a time when I didn't have righteous thoughts or didn't send forth righteous thoughts.
Master also said in “Teaching the Fa at the Washington DC International Fa Conference,”
“The evil beings look specifically for your thoughts that contain attachments in order to strengthen them and achieve their aim of taking control.”
Because I did not study the Fa well or understand the Fa thoroughly, for a long time I was attached to the thought that the persecution of Dafa should end immediately. As a result, I had taken a detour on my path of cultivation and was persecuted. I was detained in a forced labor camp for more than two years and I wrote some statements that I should not have written, which is a stain that can never be removed. However, I cannot dwell on mistakes and must never give up.
After I was released, my family was strongly opposed to my contacting other practitioners because the police had told my family that other practitioners had betrayed me. I was considerate about my family's suffering on my behalf, but I wanted to validate the Fa. I sincerely discussed the situation with my husband. In order to reduce their troubles, I decided that I could rent a house and live with my mother-in-law who was 92 years old and wasn't able to take care of herself. My husband did not agree however, and agitated my relatives to besiege me. After many difficulties, they realized that my resolve to validate the Fa could not be shaken, and my husband had to go along with what I suggested.
I now have the freedom to come and go. The police came to my home several times. Each time, I was not at home and was out validating the Fa. My husband wisely dealt with them and did not have any complaints about me.
It is Dafa Disciples' Responsibility to Save More Sentient Beings
Master said in “Be More Diligent,”
“... that the number of lives to be saved before the final moment arrives has not reached the amount it should; and that there is still a portion of Dafa disciples that hasn’t kept up.”
It is my top priority to ask more fellow practitioners to step forward to do the three things well and save more sentient beings.
I have kept in contact with fellow practitioners since I started practicing. For those around me who cultivate well, I think that we can share experiences and actively do the three things well. For those who are in the remote areas and are new to cultivation, I should contact them more often and send them materials related to the Fa. It is very important to catch up with the speed of Fa-rectification.
Practitioner A obtained the Fa in 2006, her younger sister in 2005. Her sister-in-law obtained the Fa earlier but did not have contact with other practitioners. Before I contacted the three of them, they seldom read Falun Gong materials and had to travel to other places to get Master's new articles. I did not fear the long journey and actively contacted them and delivered materials to them. Because they obtained the Fa in recent years, their personal cultivation went along with Fa-rectification. The old forces created gaps and interference among them. When they had difficulties in understanding the Fa and cultivation, or had conflicts, I shared with them separately and asked them to search inward, to study the Fa more, and to find their own shortcomings. Sometimes they didn't understand at the time, but they enlightened later from understanding the Fa.
In recent times, Practitioner A's ex-husband, who divorced her about 30 years ago and was allegedly a cheater, came back to her home because he had nowhere else to go in his old age. Practitioner A helped him quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and asked him to read Dafa books and materials. He changed a lot and became more tolerant. Practitioner A said to other practitioners, “I searched inward and had no hatred toward him. He cannot bear any difficulties. Dafa is so magical! He has changed a lot and helps me do housework.”
Practitioner B is a veteran practitioner who moved to our area later on. She is very kind and compassionate. Other practitioners like to be around her. Some practitioners in poor cultivation states felt very comfortable when they sat near her. One day, her grandson got a cold and had a fever. She asked her daughter-in-law to recite “Falun Dafa is good.” Her grandson recovered without taking medicine. Her daughter-in-law has also studied the Fa since then.
Practitioner C's home is our Fa-study site. Her husband recently broke his leg. Through reading Falun Dafa materials and Dafa books, he refuted the doctor's claim that it would be three months before he could get out of bed and six months before he would be able to walk. He went to work three months later and sincerely said, “I really benefit from Falun Dafa.”
Practitioner D did not practice the exercises and seldom studied the Fa when I was not at home. After I contacted her, I delivered Minghui Weekly and other Dafa materials to her. She became as diligent as before. She once hung two or three Falun Dafa banners in one night. She walked away twice while being followed by police when talking to people about Falun Gong.
The practitioners I often have contact with are scattered. We formed four Fa-study groups. We now all talk to people about Falun Gong, distribute Falun Gong materials, and advise people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
