(Clearwisdom.net) On September 30, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Deng Yangsheng was illegally arrested by policemen who broke into his house and later ransacked his house. The following is a personal account by Mr. Deng.

On September 29, 2007 at around 9 p.m., my air-conditioner suddenly stopped working and all the lights went out. I went to the front door and looked at the electrical box. All the switches and gears were working normally. I thought it was a blackout. In fact, it was the policemen from the police sub-division who had deliberately switched off the electricity from the outside so that they could capture me if I went out. But they did not succeed.

The next day at around 9 a.m. when I was studying the Fa beside a small electric fan, the electricity went out again. This time, I went to the front door and opened the door to look at the electrical box in the hallway. Once I stepped out the door, a plainclothes policeman with the surname of He caught my left hand. Then another plainclothes officer named Liu Bin caught my right hand. They thrust me back into my apartment and handcuffed me. I shouted, “Falun Dafa is good; Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good! I did not violate any law. It is a criminal act to treat a man of 72 years of age like this!”

Liu Bin threatened me with fists and clenched teeth. I was sitting on the sofa. Since my hands were handcuffed behind my back, I could not lean against the back of the sofa. So I had to sit up straight for about two hours. Then I needed to go to the bathroom, so I stood up. Policeman He said to me viciously, “What do you want to do?” I said, “I need to use the toilet; I am free to do so.” Policeman He said, “From now on you do not have any freedom.” He then released my left hand from the handcuffs and dragged me to the bathroom.

Later, the policemen ransacked my house. The two policemen had been on their cell phones at 9 a.m. and had called over 20 policemen. Under the direction of officer Hua Yong from the State Security Unit, they ransacked my house until 5 p.m. Some policemen wore uniforms, some were in plainclothes.

The police spent a long time going through all the things in my house. They thought I should have a large amount of cash at home. They turned over every item in the drawers and closets, from the first floor to the second floor. They even turned over a shabby cloth in a plastic bag in the balcony. They searched every room but they did not find any cash.

At 5 p.m. officers Liu Bin and He and two other policemen again roughly handcuffed me and forced me into the elevator to go downstairs. A police car was waiting outside. They pushed me into the car and took me to the police sub-division.

At the police sub-division, officers He and Liu Bin interrogated me and made notes. I kept silent and did not say anything. The policemen forged a note and ordered me to sign. I refused to sign. That same night at around 11 p.m. they sent me to the detention center. When registering at the office, four or five policemen led by He and Liu Bin pressed me against the wall beside some steel pipes. Several people held me and spread my arms out and handcuffed my wrists me to the pipes. I shouted, “Falun Dafa is good; Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good! You cannot treat a 72-year-old man like this. This is criminal act!” But the policemen ignored me.

After standing for about 20 minutes, my head ached severely. At this time, a policeman brought me a chair to sit on. Since my arms were still stretched out and handcuffed to the pipes, I said I could not sit down. The officer said, “You can only half-sit on one side.” One hour later the registration paperwork was done and officer He told me to sign the paperwork. I told them that this was an illegal detention and that they were all committing a crime. The policeman said, “Even if you do not sign we will detain you all the same.” With that, they forcibly sent me to Cell 111. It was already after midnight. The only food I'd eaten all day was a small moon cake at home at around noon.
