(Clearwisdom.net) Being persecuted multiple times by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I left home to go into hiding. At the end of April 2002, I had nowhere to stay but in a remote, mountainous area. I set up a simple tent with plastic sheets beside a small brook and lived there.

At that point, the persecution was severe in our region. We had little truth-clarification materials to distribute. Our Teacher’s new articles were copied by hand.

In order to save more people, I studied the Fa, sent forth righteous thoughts every day, and hand-copied many truth-clarification materials. I used three carbon papers to produce four copies, made packets of materials, and stapled them together. After I produced enough packets, my mother and I distributed them to villages by the mountain. Occasionaly, I wrote truth-clarification posters on white paper with red ink and passed them out, too.

At the end of May and early June, the brook dried up due to drought. My mother was staying with me. I took a five-kilogram plastic bucket and looked for water. I walked two and a half miles and found a river. It was almost dried up because of the drought and the irrigation for farms, but I was able to fill my bucket with water and carried it home. I kept sweating and drank more water, walking under the hot sun. The remaining water was just enough to cook a meal.

In the afternoon, it was still very hot. I was so thirsty that I drank the water being used to soak the dried beans for dinner. I looked at the blue sky and worried, “There is no water. I need to save sentient beings, but I need to live without this being a problem.” Afterwards I thought, I’ll put my palms together and sincerely say to our Teacher, “Teacher, I want to validate the Fa and save sentient beings, but I can’t do that without water. Please ask the rain god to give me some rain!”

My mother and I each put one palm up and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all evil, all the factors that persecute Dafa disciples and that interfere with saving sentient beings. After 20 minutes, we heard some thunder in the distance. After 30 minutes, the thunder became louder and closer. The sun hid behind the clouds as we heard the raindrops on the leaves.

My tears rolled down my face. I was so grateful for Teacher’s enormous, gracious, and boundless benevolence!

Gradually, the rain stopped. My mother went to the puddle we used to get water for cooking and smiled, “The water is good for several days.” Thereafter, as the puddle was about to dry up, there would be more rain to provide enough water for us to live.

As winter approached, my family helped me build a thatched cottage. Afterwards, I built a dirt dam on the brook and more rain fell. The water in the dam helped me to survive the long cold winter until I was able to leave and return to Dafa a disciple's environment to validate the Fa.
