Additional Persecution News from China – November 16, 2011 (19 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in eight provinces. According to this report, ten practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 37 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Laoxialu Area 610 Office agents went to arrest two practitioners at home on November 10, 2011. Mr. Ma Wen was able to escape, but Mr. Cao Xushi, Ms. Xu Qiuhua, and Ms. Lu Xiuping were arrested.

Mr. Cao, Ms. Xu, and Ms. Lu are currently in the Yong'an Hostel Brainwashing Center.

2. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhang Xintian Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xintian was arrested on November 11, 2011, as he spoke with people about Falun Gong and distributed informational materials in Yanpoqiao, Hengyang County. Political head Wu Jianjun from the Hengyang County State Security Division made the arrest and took Mr. Zhang to the county detention center.

3. [Sichuan Province] Ten Practitioners from Dazhou City Arrested

Dazhou City 610 Office agents arrested ten practitioners around November 2011: Mr. Tan Bing, Mr. Li Lei, Ms. Tao Caifeng, Mr. Ran Wenxue, Mr. Li Xiaobing, Mr. Wang Qixuan, Ms. Guo Daifen, Mr. Zhao Huayong, and Ms. Xia Bi.

5. [Beijing] Five Practitioners from Miyun County Arrested

Miyuan County 610 Office agents and officers from the Henanzhai Town Police Station arrested five practitioners in Xiatun Village on the evening of November 14, 2011. The practitioners were: Ms. Shi Guixiang and her husband, Mr. Xiao Yanzhi; Ms. Liang Xiaohong; Ms. Zhao Caixia; and Ms. Xiao Guilan.

Ms. Liu Hong was arrested in October 2010 and taken to the Wangcun Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she was held for nearly a year. She was released in September 2011. Recently, 610 Office agents have frequently made phone calls to harass Ms. Liu's family.

About six officers led by Qi Li from the Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Cui Zhanyun on November 15, 2011.

13. [Pingba County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yang Xiuqiong's Circumstances

Ms. Yang Xiuqiong, employed at the Liyang Factory, was arrested on October 3, 2011, as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at her factory's vegetable market. Officers from the Baiyun Town Police Station and the Pingba County Police Department made the arrest. Ms. Yang has been held in the Pingba County Detention Center for more than a month.

14. [Bei'an City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ge Baojun Arrested

Mr. Ge Baojun, who works at the Tongbei Town Train Station, was arrested on November 15, 2011, by officers from the Harbin Railway Police Office. He is currently in the Yichun Brainwashing Center.

15. [Huachuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Meng Fanli Harassed on November 19

16. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Rong Dehuan Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Langfang City 610 Office agents and officers from the Tangerli Police Station arrested Ms. Rong Dehuan at home on the morning of November 15. Ms. Rong's daughter tried to prevent the arrest, but the police beat her. They finally carried Ms. Rong into the police vehicle and drove away.

17. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Ma Xiaoshun Held in the Fenggang County Detention Center

Ms. Ma Xiaoshun was arrested on November 3 by Wang Peng from the Guiyang City Police Department and officers from the Fenggang County Domestic Security Division. She was taken to the Fenggang County Detention Center. Ms. Ma has abeen a hunger strike to protest the persecution since November 3. She is in critical condition.

Five practitioners were arrested on the afternoon of October 23, 2011, in the Xi'er Residential Area in Tiantongyuan, the Changping District. They were: Mr. Feng Qingdong from Chaoyang, Liaoning Province; Mr. Song Zhao from Henan Province who works for an overseas company; Ms. Sun Lixin, a painter; Ms. Yao Yuanying, a PhD student; and Ms. Chang Chunyu from Beijing. The five practitioners are currently in the Changping Detention Center.

Four other practitioners who were also arrested in Tiantongyuan, the Changping District, were: Ms. Li Ziming from Zhangjiakou, Mr. Guo Longbin from Heilongjiang Province, and two practitioners from Shandong Province.

It has been confirmed that the nine practitioners were taken to the Changping Detention Center on October 24 and have been denied family visits.
