(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Jianping was a deputy general manager of the Kuangshan Department of the Nanfang Cement Company in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He was sentenced to four years in prison on June 14, 2011, because he practices Falun Gong. He was sent to Zhejiang Second Prison on September 2, 2011.

After being arrested, Mr. Zhang Jianping was detained in the Hangzhou Detention Center, where the guards did not allow his family and friends to visit him. The Hangzhou 610 Office ordered the Xihu District Procuratorates to prosecute and the Xihu District Court to file a case. The initial trial judge sentenced Mr. Zhang Jianping to four years in prison. The Hangzhou Intermediate's Court upheld the same decision at the second trial. The process lasted nine months.

Mr. Zhang Jianping is considered to be an excellent key employee of the company. After being arrested, his family and company asked an attorney to rescue him. It was said that the attorney's defense was very reasonable, that anyone would have been touched. However the court did not listen but upheld the original decision.
