(Clearwisdom.net) In 2008 Mr. Yan Shoulin, the owner of Yilin Wedding Portrait Studio in Dengshahe Township in the Jinzhou District of Dalian, Liaoning Province, and Wang Yonghang, a lawyer in Dalian, defended Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Gu Li and Ms. Qiu Shuping so well that everybody in the courtroom understood the truth.
Afterwards, the perpetrators in the Dalian Political and Legal system were afraid of more people understanding the truth about Falun Gong, so they persecuted Mr. Yan Shoulin and his wife, Yang Chunmei.
The First Instance
Over ten police officers from the Dalian Domestic Security Division, the Jinzhou Domestic Security Division, and the Liangjiadian Police Station broke into Mr. Yan Shoulin's photography studio and arrested him and his wife at 11:00 a.m. on December 2, 2008. They ransacked the house and took Mr. Yan's two computers and printer. The couple was taken to Dalian Forced Labor Camp and Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang for one year.
The Second Instance
When Ms. Yang opened their studio at 7:00 a.m. on June 29, 2011, 12 officers from the Jinzhou Domestic Security Division and the Shahe Police Station broke in. They pushed her down and handcuffed her. They put a black cover over Mr. Yan's head and pushed him into a police car. They also arrested their son who was getting ready to go to school.
The 13-year-old boy was very scared. Although he was released that same day, the officers' violent behavior cast a lasting shadow over the child. He often has nightmares about the experience and screams for his parents in his dreams. He also suffers from stomachaches. When he learned that his father had been sent to Dalian Forced Labor Camp and mother detained in Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun, he was saddened beyond words. It is about 10 miles from his grandparents' house to his school, so they are not able to get him to school. He now can't go to school or return home either.
The perpetrators at the local police station had monitored the couple for over a month prior to arresting them. Mr. Yan's parents have health issues and need care. Ms. Yang Chunmei's mother does not have any income and needs her daughter to support her. Their son has been anxiously waiting for his parents to come home.
