(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners and local people gathered at Columbus Park in New York's Chinatown for a grand rally on October 16, 2011, in support of 104 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. They called on more Chinese people to learn the facts, abandon the CCP, and greet an upcoming new future without the party.
The rally started at 10:15 a.m. People from all walks of life made speeches and won rounds of applause from the audience.
Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP: 104 Million Withdrawals from the CCP Organizations Is a “Great Miracle”
Dr. Li Dayong, executive director of the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP, said that 104 million withdrawals from the CCP organizations is a “great miracle,” which has been achieved while the CCP used state power and all means possible to obstruct and undermine the effort. Falun Gong practitioners in China have risked their lives in the process. The registration process is challenging, as practitioners face Chinese people who have been brainwashed by the CCP culture for sixty years. It is a rather arduous, complicated process that needs willpower and compassion.
Dr. Li pointed out that celebrating 104 million people quitting the CCP organizations is a landmark event, which indicates the change between the righteous and evil forces in the human world. Recent Resolution No. 232 proposed in the U.S. Senate and Resolution No. 416 proposed in the House of Representatives are symbols of the international community showing concern and support for the quitting the CCP movement.
Falun Dafa Information Center: The Methods Used by the CCP to Persecute Falun Gong Has Been Diverted to Other Chinese People
Mr. Levi Browde, director of the Falun Dafa Information Center, said that 70-100 million Chinese people practiced Falun Gong before 1999. Falun Gong's popularity and its embodiment of traditional Chinese culture, along with Jiang Zemin's jealousy for Falun Gong, caused the CCP to launch a systematic and violent persecution of the practice.

The persecution was driven by framing and propaganda, and brainwashing centers, forced labor, imprisonment, torture, and job and school dismissals are used in attempts to eradicate Falun Gong. With time, people have realized that the persecution is not only an individual matter that involves Jiang Zemin and his followers, but rather stems from the nature of the CCP.
We can now see that the methods used by the CCP against Falun Gong are beginning to be used on other groups of Chinese people. Therefore, it becomes so important that many Chinese people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. We hope that everyone will show concern over the quitting the CCP movement, and understand its significance for the Chinese people and the world.
Western Practitioner: The CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong Is a Unforgivable Crime
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Simon Vereshaka from Australia said that he developed an addiction to gambling when he was a teenager, after his parents divorced. The gambling deteriorated his health and made him dejected. He spent several years and a lot of money finding a cure, but failed.
Later, he started practicing Falun Gong, and his health miraculously recovered. Falun Dafa has saved his life. He said that the CCP has persecuted people who believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance for twelve years, which is an unforgivable crime. Traditional Chinese culture talks about good being rewarded and evil meeting with retribution. He hopes that everyone will quit the evil CCP organizations.
World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG): A New Phase of Globally Investigating the CCP's Crimes
Dr. Wang Zhiyuan, a WOIPFG representative, said that 104 million withdrawals from the CCP organizations indicate that the global awakening movement of opposing the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong has developed into a new phase of global investigation of the CCP's crimes. He described the two general characteristics of the global awakening movement: One is disintegrating the CCP's tyranny in a peaceful and rational manner. Facing the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners have adopted peaceful and rational approaches to raise people's awareness about the persecution, help people see clearly the CCP's true nature, and disintegrate the foundation of the CCP's survival.

Another characteristic is that a comprehensive investigation of the persecution crimes has been undertaken while Falun Gong practitioners are still being persecuted and the CCP regime is still operating. WOIPFG has systematically collected a large amount of evidence, and initiated related judicial procedures, which have effectively shocked and awed the persecutors.
Dr. Wang also disclosed that more and more officials and police officers who have participated in the persecution of Falun Gong have become aware of the true situation and made efforts to contact the WOIPFG, to seek an opportunity to atone for their crimes.
He called upon people from around the world, including upright people from all walks of life in China, to collect evidence of the evildoers' crimes, and to prepare for the upcoming trials.
China Interim Government: Falun Gong is Saving the Country
Mr. Tang Baiqiao, spokesperson for the China Interim Government, excitedly shouted, “Falun Dafa is great” at the rally. He said that it was the first time over the past ten years that he shouted out these words at public occasions. He has actually long believed that Falun Dafa was great. Today, he shouted it out in hopes that all Chinese people, and all kind and righteous people around the world, will recognize that Falun Dafa is great.
He said that the most glorious thing in his life is being together with Falun Gong practitioners, and the most fortunate is that Falun Gong friends have helped him to be reborn. He continued, “Even officials inside the CCP system acknowledge that the CCP is leading the nation toward corruption, but we are saving the country.”
Human Rights Supporter: Expressing Gratitude to Falun Dafa
Mr. Wang Beiji, a human rights supporter who came to the U.S. three months ago, expressed his gratitude to Falun Dafa. He said, “First, I'm grateful to Falun Gong practitioners for creating the media outlets that have given me and many Chinese compatriots inside China opportunities to denounce the CCP.” Second, I'm grateful to Falun Gong practitioners for developing the networking technologies that have provided Chinese people the only channel to learn about the free world. Third, I'm grateful to Falun Dafa [practitioners] for having wholeheartedly promoted, revived, and spread the excellent culture of the Chinese nation while they are being subjected to the CCP's persecution. Fourth, I'm grateful to Falun Dafa [practitioners] for working on the quitting the CCP movement when the Chinese nation is at its most dangerous and emergent point, and providing the Chinese people who have been kidnapped by the CCP, the best opportunity for spiritual salvation.
Chinese People Quit the CCP Organizations at the Event
Forty-one people from China who have announced their withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations happily received the certificates of withdrawals issued by the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP. More than 20 Chinese people announced their withdrawals on the spot.
Ms. Cao Limin, who renounced the CCP organizations, said that the media in China, regardless of it being newspapers, televisions, or books, all said how good the CCP was. After arriving in the U.S. what she saw is greatly different. After reading Falun Gong books and contacting practitioners, she has experienced something completely different from the information she received in China. She had more contacts with practitioners, and learned Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance from them. Specifically, after she read the book Zhuan Falun, she decided to quit the CCP organizations.
Audience Member: Quitting the CCP Hastens its Demise
Mr. Ai Furong from Shanghai arrived in the U.S. in June to protest the CCP's forceful demolition in front of the United Nations headquarters. He said, “We have also been persecuted by the CCP, and we know how evil the party is. Quitting the CCP hastens the demise of the CCP, because it is an autocratic party that does not have the support of the people. It should withdraw from the historical stage. There will be a new China after the collapse of the CCP. Without the CCP, China will be better, and people can live happy lives.”
The rally came to a conclusion amidst a joyful waist drum performance.
