(Clearwisdom.net) In another two weeks, Shen Yun Performing Arts will debut at New York's Lincoln Center. Dafa disciples have put a lot of effort into promoting the shows using their righteous thoughts and supernormal abilities. I would like to share some thoughts on things that happened to me in the past two days. I hope this article will inspire other practitioners to share their experiences, too. Together we can improve in our cultivation and thoroughly deny the arrangements of the old forces, thereby forming a seamless unified body and fulfilling our vows to save sentient beings.
Thoroughly Deny the Existence of the Old Forces and Their Arrangements
Several days ago, I read an email asking everyone to send strong righteous thoughts to disintegrate interference from the theater. My heart was very heavy throughout the night after reading the email. The next morning, I woke up and thought about the matter again. I sent righteous thoughts continuously on my way to work, and I was gloomy when I stepped into the office. I turned on my computer and started to quickly browse the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom). Suddenly, an article written by a practitioner about thoroughly denying the old forces' arrangements struck me. Then it dawned on me: “This is arranged by the old forces; why should I follow it? Master has said that we should deny the existence of the old forces.” With this thought, I felt the bad substances in another dimension disintegrating and my whole body felt light. Subsequently, I saw an email sent by a coordinator, asking everyone to send righteous thoughts while negotiations were taking place between practitioners and the management at the theater. My heart was calm and I waited for the good news. I also quickly informed other practitioners to send righteous thoughts, because it was very important that every practitioner take part in this. It is the mighty power of the Fa and the “one-body” that will truly disintegrate the evil. Two hours later, the coordinator sent out an email saying that the meeting had gone very well.
This time, I had a deeper understanding of Master's words:
“We negate even the very emergence of the old forces and everything that they've arranged; we don't even acknowledge their existence. We're fundamentally negating all of their things, and all of, and only, the things you do while negating and getting rid of them is mighty-virtue.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference”)
At the same time, I truly felt that Master was looking at our every thought compassionately and giving us hints all the time. Master said:
“Maybe as you study the Fa the issues you've been thinking about will be resolved, since behind every word are Buddhas, Daos, and Gods. How could they not know exactly what you want to resolve and what you're anxious to get done at that time? Then how could they not tell you? But there's one thing: you must achieve the state of studying the Fa without any pursuit. You understood this a long time ago--you can't read the Fa with an attachment to solving your problems. Just read calmly, and the effect is sure to be excellent.” (“Fa Lecture at the Conference in Florida, USA”)
Eliminating Gaps and Forming a Seamless One-body
Selling tickets for the New York Shen Yun shows has been very difficult, and I was discouraged by my experiences selling tickets in the shopping centers. I kept pondering on the cause of the difficulty. Master said: “You should also be clear that 'natural' does not exist, and 'the inevitable' has reasons behind it.” (“Expounding on the Fa” in Essentials For Further Advancement)
After sharing with other practitioners, I found the answer: “The gaps existing in the one-body of practitioners in New York gave the evil an opportunity to create interference in the sale of tickets.”
I immediately sent out a strong righteous thought: “Thoroughly deny the arrangements of the old forces and don't even acknowledge the existence of the old forces. Our omissions will be rectified by Dafa. We must not allow the evil to make use of our omissions to create tribulations, thus preventing sentient beings from being saved. Disintegrate all interference and obstacles blocking the sale of Shen Yun tickets, thereby saving sentient beings.”
At the same time, I also looked within myself and discovered that my human attachments had created gaps in our one-body. I had misgivings about other practitioners. Instead of opening my heart and accepting other practitioners, I criticized and had many complaints. I was unconsciously validating myself, and I passively regarded the decisions made by other practitioners, pushing the responsibility onto them. I looked down on fellow practitioners and had the mentality of showing off.
After finding my inadequacies, the bad substances in my body were also eliminated, and I felt much more relaxed. A practitioner said, “We are walking on a divine path. Our thoughts are powerful in other dimensions.”
A practitioner shared that the process of promoting Shen Yun is an opportunity given to us by our great Master to elevate ourselves, thus saving sentient beings and also establishing our mighty virtue. We must improve together, look within ourselves more often, and form a unified body with no gaps.
