(Clearwisdom.net) One of our local practitioners was arrested in January 2002 and later sentenced to nine years. Shortly before his term was to expire on December 28, 2010, the provincial 610 Office ordered that Falun Gong practitioners whose terms were going to expire were not to be released. Instead, their local police stations were to take them to brainwashing centers for further persecution. We learned that the practitioner in question maintained strong righteous thoughts despite the 610 Office order. We made up our minds to do our best to set him free.
More than 20 of us went to the vicinity of the prison to send forth righteous thoughts for the detained practitioner on the afternoon of December 27, 2010. We rode in two minivans and one car during the nearly four-hour trip. As soon as we got on the road, we began to send forth righteous thoughts non-stop. I happened to look up once and saw that the sky just above the road ahead was blue and bright. Some practitioners had a very different feeling this time around sending forth righteous thoughts. We all felt surrounded by a strong energy field. We knew that Master and Fa-guardian gods were protecting and strengthening us. We were grateful for Master’s compassion.
We quickly settled down after we reached our destination. We began to send forth righteous thoughts again at 6:00 p.m.. We repeated this every 30 minutes and studied the Fa together in between sending forth righteous thoughts. When we were taking a break around midnight, we received word from the detained practitioner’s family that the prison promised to release him at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. We reminded ourselves not to slack off since we didn’t want to leave any loopholes for the evil to exploit. After practicing the exercises together the next morning, we divided into two groups. Some of us went to send forth righteous thoughts just outside the prison gate, while the rest of us stayed in the hotel doing the same thing.
The group outside the prison gate called the hotel group close to 9:00 a.m., “His family, his company officials and people from the 610 Office were all there. He is out now, but his company and the 610 Office are negotiating with his family on where to take him.” We were all determined to walk the path arranged by Master and not allow the 610 Office to detain him again.
Even some elderly practitioners in their 70s or 80s participated in the rescue process. Everybody persisted until the very end, just like Master said in “Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference,” “The next person's things are your things,1 and your things are his things.” We formed one body with strong righteous thoughts.
We learned around 9:30 am that the detained practitioner was safe and sound with his family. We felt very content and our gratitude towards Master was beyond words. It was just like what Master said,
“When disciples have ample righteous thoughts
Master has the power to turn back the tide.”

When our two groups got together later, we learned more about what unfolded at the prison that morning. The guards asked the practitioner to sign a certain document, and he refused. His family eventually signed on his behalf. Our local practitioners advised his family not to turn him over to his company or the 610 Office. Heeding the advice, his family decided to drive him to the hotel where they were staying. Our local practitioners came along with them. When the 610 Office personnel also arrived at the hotel, they were defeated by our practitioners’ strong righteous thoughts. They drove away without making any more fuss.
We were able to pull off a successful rescue thanks to Master. When our xinxing reached a certain level, Master indeed did everything for us.
We truly feel that the evil factors controlling people are constantly diminishing, and our strong righteous thoughts can really disintegrate all warped elements. I also want to remind everyone again not to slack off in sending forth righteous thoughts, especially for our detained fellow practitioners. Our local practitioners have been taking turns sending forth righteous thoughts for detained practitioners. As a result, their families can now visit them any time they want, when in the past only a few visitations at set times were allowed.
