(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 18 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Danyang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Qinghua Persecuted to Death
Ms. Zhang Qinghua, a 61-year-old and a physician in Danyang Cotton Mill, was arrested on June 18, 2008 while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in a farmer's market. She was sentenced to prison. In Nanjing Women's Prison, she was tortured until her life was in danger. In order to avoid being held responsible, the prison authorities let her family take her home in August of 2010. Ms. Zhang passed away in a hospital on November 23, 2010.
2. [Liaoning Province] Information about the Arrests of Ms. Cong Lanzhi and Three Other Practitioners
Officers from Dandong Public Security Bureau and Donggang Public Security Bureau arrested Ms. Cong Lanzhi and Ms. Li Xiaohong from Dandong and Ms. Wang Shuhua and Mr. Li Cheng from Donggang between December 10 and 11, 2010. They also ransacked the practitioners' homes and took their belongings, including laptop computers.
Ms. Cong Lanzhi and Ms. Wang Shuhua have been released. Ms. Li Xiaohong was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City on December 17 for a term of a year. Mr. Li Cheng was sent to Weiningying Forced Labor Camp in Benxi the same day.
3. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Mr. Li Desheng
Mr. Li Desheng from Sanshengyu Town, Nongan County, was arrested by officers from Sanshengyu Town Police Station on December 11, 2010. He was taken to Nongan County Detention Center and held there for 15 days, during which time he was on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Mr. Li was sent to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province, on the morning of December 27 for a term of a year.

4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. He Biao and His Wife Held in a Brainwashing Center
Mr. He Biao and his wife, Ms. Han Yunhua, from the Longfeng District in Daqing City are still being held in Wuchang City Brainwashing Center.

5. [Dangshan Couty, Anhui Province] Mr. Chen Jianyuan Persecuted
Mr. Chen Jianyun from Zhaotun Township, Dangshan County, is in his 30s. He is handicapped and makes a living by driving an electric pedicab to transport people. On the evening of December 23, 2010, officers (including Li Yongzhi from Dangshan Public Security Bureau Chengguan Branch) arrested him for posting stickers around clarifying the truth about Falun Gong on his way home. They took his pedicab and four storage batteries. Just the four batteries alone are worth over 2,000 yuan. Officers from Dangshan Public Security Bureau Chengguan Branch collaborated with officers from Zhaotun Township Police Station to barge into Mr. Chen's home on the afternoon of December 24 and take his computer, Falun Gong books, and materials explaining the facts about Falun Gong, among other items. Mr. Chen is now being held in Dangshan Detention Center.
6. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yinying Arrested
Ms. Zhang Yinying, in her 50s, was arrested near the east entrance of Qingnianhu in Andingmen, Beijing on December 20, 2010.
7. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Xinwen Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Song Xinwen from Linqu County was arrested and his home was ransacked by officers from Linqu County Public Security Bureau Domestic Security Division and Chengli Police Station. Mr. Song has been sent to Zhangqiu Forced Labor Camp in Jinan for a term of 15 months.
8. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Shulan and Her Sister Persecuted
Ms. Liu Shulan from Zibo Operative Police Detachment and her young sister were arrested by officers from Hengtai County Domestic Security Division in Zibo City on December 25, 2010. Her young sister was transferred to the supervisory council and Ms. Liu Shulan was released on bail for medical treatment.

9. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Ms. Du Jiying Arrested by Officers from Xinji City Public Security Bureau
Ms. Du Jiying from Xinji City was arrested in her home by officers from Xinji City Public Security Bureau Domestic Security Division at about 8:00 a.m. on December 30, 2010. They confined her on the fifth floor of the public security bureau and ransacked her home.

Mr. Feng Yongqing and Ms. Liu Xiangbin from Shewobo Town, Qixia City, were falsely accused while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong on the afternoon of December 30, 2010. They were arrested by officers from Shewobo Public Security Bureau.

12. [Minquan County, Henan Province] Mr. Li Zhengju Arrested
Mr. Li Zhengju from Shunhe Township, Minquan County, Shangqiu City, was forced to move from place to place in order to avoid persecution. He was arrested in Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province, by officers from Minquan County Public Security Bureau in Henan Province and Hulin City Public Security Bureau in Heilongjiang Province on December 30, 2010.

14. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Luo Li Persecuted in Guangdong Yangjiang Prison
Mr. Luo Li is 31 years old and from Hengnan County, Hunan Province. He worked as a manager in Yitong Bus Ltd. in Guangzhou City. Officers from the Haizhu District Domestic Security Division in Guangzhou City arrested him in Yitong Bus Ltd. on the evening of May 20, 2009. Mr. Luo was taken to Haizhu District Detention Center and on April 8, 2010, sent to Yangjiang Prison in Guangdong Province.
Mr. Luo was forced to do slave labor in the prison. He has to make car seats or clothing for eight or nine hours per day and his personal belongings were taken away.

15. [Deyang, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Liu Yuqiong and her husband, Mr. Ye Qibing, and Ms. Qiu Juyuan and her husband, Mr. Liu Ping, from Shuanglin Village, Yuanjia Town, the Jingyang District, Deyang were arrested by officers from Lueping Town Police Station on the evening of October 7, 2010, while the two couples were distributing materials explaining the facts about Falun Gong on the border between Lueping Town and Guangfu. Ms. Liu Yuqiong and Ms. Qiu Juyuan were released on bail. Mr. Ye Qibing and Mr. Liu Ping are still being held in Luojiang County Detention Center.

16. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested
Twelve practitioners from Chengdongjie in Huangmei County gathered in Ms. Chen Xuwen's home to study Falun Gong books on the afternoon of December 28. They were reported by Guta Community Committee cadre Shang Yulan and arrested by six officers from Chengguan Police Station including Chengguan Police Station director Chen Jianzhong. Three practitioners were released after being held for two hours. Ms. Chen Xuwen, Mr. Zhan Nanzheng, and Ms. Cao Xiaoxian are still being held in the detention center
17. [Chongqing] Mr. Du Chuandong and Others Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Du Chuandong from Chongqing was sentenced to a year of forced labor on December 17, 2010, and Ms. Hong Liu to two years of forced labor. They were sent to Xishanping Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Yan Xiaoyue from the Yuzhong District was sentenced to forced labor and is now being held in Shimahe Women's Forced Labor Camp in the Jiangbei District.
18. [Zunyi , Guizhou Province] Ms. Pan Linyun and Her Mother Persecuted
Ms. Pan Lingyun and her mother, Ms. Zhao Zhengshu, from the Honghuagang District, Zunyi, were arrested by people who broke their lock and barged into their home. Mother and daughter have been sent to Zhongba Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou.
