(Clearwisdom.net) More than a decade has passed by since I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. Under Teacher's compassionate care, I have been able to walk on the path of cultivation steadily. There have been many feelings, particularly joy, as well as difficulties in cultivation. I see that Teacher has given us the best to allow us to advance in our cultivation. It is my good fortune to have waited many lifetimes for this opportunity.
I would like to share about an incident. I once had a very vivid dream when I just started cultivation: I dreamed I was in a holy and pure place. There was clear water with emerald corals and white swans floating in it. Suddenly, I fell into a deep black hole. After I fell and fell, I finally touched the ground. The first thing I said was: “How could this place be so filthy?” Then I saw that Teacher was teaching the Fa in front of me. It was the Jinan lecture. I shouted: “I want to cultivate!” and then I woke up from the dream. Ten years have passed, but the dream is still very clear. Teacher has given us the highest honor in the universe: Fa-rectification Period Dafa Disciples! I cherish this title. I must live up to it.
In 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, rectify the Fa, clarify the truth, distribute the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and persuade people to quit the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. I was imprisoned and suffered unforgettable pains. Again and again I rectified the Fa and let go of self. It was a bone-piercing experience. Step by step I cultivated my mindset and eliminated my attachments. Little by little, I assimilated to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Dafa took root in my heart. In Dafa cultivation, my life full is of hope. Even when I was imprisoned, I didn't feel lonely. Giving up desires for material possessions gave me contentment and happiness. A Dafa practitioner, who knows the true meaning of life and the truth of the universe, will not be fooled by things of the human world.
Studying the Fa and Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts
Teacher told us that “you must study the high-level Fa thoroughly...” (Zhuan Falun). In every Fa conference, He always emphasized the importance of studying the Fa. From the many lessons, I finally realized that to walk on the path arranged by Teacher, we must study the Fa frequently and study it well. When I calmly studied the Fa, I felt the sacredness and broadness of the Fa and Teacher's greatness. I was often astounded by Dafa's principles. Only when we earnestly study the Fa and have clarity about the Fa, can we then do better as Dafa disciples. During these years I have read all of Teacher's lectures and have recited Zhuan Falun from memory more than ten times. Now I'm clear on the Fa principles and have become more rational. A fellow practitioner in my work unit was sentenced to six years in prison and went astray when he came out of prison. I talked to him several times without any success. Later, I put Teacher's article “Turning the Wheel Towards the Human World,” and an informational DVD, “Traveling Heaven and Earth Through Wind and Rain” in his mailbox. A few days later when I went to visit him, he became clear-headed.
Sending forth righteous thoughts is one of the three things we must do well. If every Dafa practitioner recognizes the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts and consciously does it well, then we will not encounter harassment and interference while saving sentient beings. From reading articles on the Minghui website, I came to understand that all the trouble that the evil persecution brings us are a result of not keeping up with Fa-study or sending forth righteous thoughts. I have been sending forth righteous thoughts every day at the set times, sometimes for one hour.
Clarifying the Truth to Save More Sentient Beings
Following Teacher to rectify the Fa and clarifying the truth to save people is the historical mission of Dafa disciples. With the deepening of my practice and studying the Fa, I understand the importance of saving sentient beings and its urgency. After Teacher published the lecture, “Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People,” I started to clarify the truth to strangers regularly and with compassion, in addition to sending and distributing informational materials about Falun Dafa, in order to awaken people's good natures and save those with predestination.
Once I had a dream that I was surrounded by two dozen relatives and friends. The following afternoon, I was able to smoothly clarify the truth to two dozen people. One young man told me a story that happened at Bohai Bay: In 2001, two ships went out to sea, one ship with 22 crew members and 17 on the other. When the ships sailed into Bohai Bay, a category 2 typhoon suddenly arrived and both ships lost their communications capabilities. The ship with 22 crew members flooded. They put on life jackets and were ready to jump into the sea, when a crew member knelt on the deck desperately and shouted: “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa, teacher Li Hongzhi save us!” He shouted that after he remembered his wife telling him to recite, “Falun Dafa is good!” when encountering any danger. In an instant, the sea calmed down. The crew quickly repaired the boat and the crew members were safe and sound. The other ship was not so fortunate: Only two people survived, and the remaining crew members were killed. The young man then stood up and shouted: “Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good!” When I went to a farmer's market to discuss the facts about Falun Dafa with people, they often listened very sincerely. I would tell them to remember, “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
After the Nine Commentaries was published, I began to persuade people to quit the Chinese Communist Party. When I first started, I persuaded just a few people, and then a dozen, then 20, then 50 and finally more than 70 people had withdrawn from the CCP and its affiliated organizations in one afternoon. Teacher always brings those with predestination to me. Sometimes, I persuaded ten people to quit at one time. I even persuaded a person to quit the party when I rode my bike across the street in just a few minutes. Once, I saw a handsome young man. I said to him: “You are a university student, right?” He shook his head no and sounded a bit embarrassed. I immediately told him: “Regardless of one's education level or station in life, everyone's life is precious. You have joined the CCP youth group, right?” He said he had. I said to him that I would help him withdraw from the party since the CCP is doomed and by quitting the party he will be saved and be in peace. I also wished him a bright future. He said with pleasure: “Thank you, aunty, please do.” I also persuaded more than 40 people to quit the CCP at my mother-in law's funeral. A neighbor in my hometown and his whole family of more than 12 people withdrew from the CCP. My brother is a senior prosecutor. When I talked to him about the CCP's crimes and told him, “Heaven will soon eliminate the CCP.” He agreed, as he had more insight into it than most, and said: “If there is any justice in Heaven, that's bound to happen.”
Time passes so fast and saving sentient beings has become more urgent. At the Minghui website's request, I always give people the exquisite Shen Yun DVD face to face and tell them, “This is an elegant show; it is based on Chinese traditional culture, divine culture, and is a world-class show. When you watch it , it will give you a new outlook.” Most people accept it cheerfully. Once, when I was distributing the DVD, an elderly man said to me: “You give everyone the DVD, how come you didn't give me one?” I said to him that I thought he might not have a DVD player at home. He said: “Of course I have a player. Nowadays, who doesn't have one?” I quickly gave him one. He said to me: “Actually, I know you.” I thought it over and asked him whether I had helped him to withdraw from the CCP. He nodded. It seems like sentient beings everywhere in our lives are waiting to be saved.
Our compassionate Teacher is always taking care of His disciples. Once, I went to a fellow practitioner's home to get my bike back. I brought with me eight Shen Yun DVDs. I thought about taking a taxi to his home and then distributing the DVDs when I rode the bike back. There happened to be a traffic jam and the taxi driver advised me I would get where I was going faster if I got out and walked. I gave him a DVD and paid the fare. On my way to the fellow practitioner's home, there were many pedestrians, and I was able to distribute all the remaining DVDs in a short time. When I arrived at the practitioner's home, it started to rain. I suddenly realized that it was Teacher's arrangement, as it wouldn’t have been effective to distribute the DVDs in the rain.
In 1999, many people did not have the ability to access the Internet, so I downloaded some of the Minghui articles and passed them around for practitioners to read. Whenever Teacher issued a lecture, I used the fastest printer to print the lecture so that fellow practitioners could read it. In 2003, I began mass-producing informational booklets and pamphlets. At that time I used an HP printer, and sometimes my family helped me make copies at work. Later, I bought a high-speed laser printer. In November 2004, the Epoch Times published the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Fellow practitioners and I were pleased and quickly printed copies for distribution. At the same time I produced some “Traveling Heaven and Earth Through Wind and Rain” DVDs. Now I have acquired a new color printer that has many convenient features and prints at a high speed. When I first got it, I had many problems. As a result, I eliminated many of my attachments in the process of solving them. Now it works well without any problem. My home environment is now very good. Fellow practitioners help buy supplies and someone helps with binding pamphlets and envelopes, as well as other tasks. When our minds are righteous, everything will go smoothly.
Negating Evil Arrangements
On October 1, 2009, because I discussed the facts about Falun Dafa with people, I was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp for one year. I negated the evil with righteous thoughts while in the labor camp. I remembered Teacher's words:
“As you get rid of human mentality, evil is naturally defeated.”

I looked inward, and found many of my attachments, such as the attachment of zealotry and the mentality of showing off, and so on. These attachments were excuses for the evil persecution. I quieted down and studied the Fa, and continued to use Dafa to rectify my behavior. I was not driven by the evil's appearance and I regarded it as an opportunity to disintegrate the evil from close range. Dafa disciples are the pioneers of history today. It is not the place for evil to act violently, and the labor camp is not the place for Dafa disciples. I reversed my passive attitude and actively clarified the truth, and cleared away the dark minions, rotten demons, and the evil elements behind the labor camp. Sometimes, I moved police one by one in front of me and would not allow them to commit crimes against Dafa. I was put into a room with two other Dafa practitioners. We sat up straight to study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts. A prison guard said we were like three Buddhas. We continued eliminating our attachments, human mindsets, and sent forth righteous thoughts. We did not write any guarantee statements and convinced more than 50 people to quit the party and left the labor camp with dignity.
In June 2010, a plainclothes police officer arrested me when I gave him a Shen Yun DVD. He dragged me to a police vehicle. When I saw there were many pedestrians around, I shouted: “Falun Dafa is good!” In the police station, I told people about Dafa spreading around the world and that there are big waves of Chinese withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. Shortly afterward, two policemen quit the evil party. A drug addict and two young men also quit the party. I told them to recite, “Falun Dafa is good.” One asked me: “Are there Falun Dafa songs?” I said yes and started to sing the song “Falun Dafa Hao.” I sang the song twice and they were shaken by it. The young man said: “I want to learn Falun Gong.” I told him that as long as he had his heart in Dafa, there would certainly be an opportunity.
Once when I ran into a farmer, I told him to remember, “Falun Dafa is good.” He nodded with a smile and left. I then sent forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the evil's persecution. I thought to myself that I was a Dafa disciple and came to save people, and recited:
“I am rooted in the universe. If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe.” (Zhuan Falun)
I found that I was being taken advantage of by the evil because I had attachments. Regardless, Teacher has the final say and whoever interfered with my saving sentient beings was committing a crime. I also advised the police not to commit crimes against Dafa or they would not be able to atone for those crimes in the future. They wouldn't listen and insisted on sending me to a detention center, but when the center refused to take me, they released me.
From these tests, I realized that whatever we encounter in cultivation is actually an opportunity to lay down our human mindset and look inward to rectify ourselves and improve. As I look back, I realize that all those tribulations were nothing more than a process of eliminating my attachments.
After more than ten years of cultivation, I profoundly realize that Teacher has cared for us, down to the smallest details in our cultivation. I believe that Teacher wants and hopes that we will do well. I sincerely thank Teacher for everything He does for us.
