My Eye Disease Recovered and My Family Rescued

(Clearwisdom.net) When I was young I often experienced the symptoms of eye disease, and when I had just started elementary school I sat in the first row of the classroom but still couldn't read what was written on the blackboard. The disease often forced me to miss classes. When it was serious my eyelids would swell up and become very thick, such that I couldn't open my eyes, and it felt as if I had a foreign object rubbing around under my eyelid. It was very painful, and I could only lie in bed with my eyes watering non-stop, unable to look after myself.

During those years my parents and other relatives racked their brains for solutions. They tried Chinese medicine, Western medicine, and other folk methods. They spent a lot of money searching for a cure, to no avail, and my eye disease worsened as the years passed.

In the Summer of 1998 an eye doctor in Harbin City diagnosed my condition as an atavism. An ulcer in my cornea had formed while I was in the womb and the only way to treat it was to transplant both corneas. Other than that there was nothing that could be done, and I was in danger of losing my eyesight in the near future. This left my parents in a difficult position, because the surgery would cost several hundred thousand yuan, and my parents' monthly income was only about 100 yuan. They lost hope and decided on a terrible plan. They would wait until I lost my eyesight and then the three of us would end our miserable lives together.

Just when it seemed there was no hope, a co-worker at my mother's workplace suggested Falun Gong. At that time my mother always felt tired and irritable even at her workplace. Me lying in bed in a state of hopelessness and despair kept haunting her mind. She saw her co-worker reading the book Zhuan Falun, and due to being poisoned by the Party's lies about Falun Gong, she approached her to take the book away from her, with the intention of stopping her from reading it. This co-worker had already talked to my mother about Falun Gong, and she had laughed at her and said she was engaging in "superstition."

This time the co-worker challenged my mother, "Do you not dare to even open Zhuan Falun and take a glance?" My mother replied, "Of course I dare!" As soon as she opened the book her eyes locked in on one phrase, "Qigong is cultivation." These words inspired her and she began her path of cultivation.

Later my mother told me of this process she went through.

That day she brought home a copy of Zhuan Falun. As soon as my father looked through the book, he said he also wanted to cultivate. I was lying on my bed with my eyes closed, and heard them say the word "cultivation." I immediately sat up and said, "Mother, I also want to cultivate!" She replied, "You are too little, you won't understand. You can't cultivate." I said, "I understand. I can do it!" Seeing my determination, she began reading it to me.

After three days I was able to open my eyes again and my eyelids were less inflamed. Our whole household was shocked and excited to no end - I was able to read Zhuan Falun on my own! Another three days passed and my eyes, which were soon to become blind, completely returned to health, and I was able to go back to school. The three of us were moved beyond words, and thanked magnificent Teacher and Dafa from the bottom of our hearts, for saving our lives.

My own experience is enough to prove that Falun Dafa is a high-level Buddha School practice that is truly able to save people. This is the reason why Falun Gong was welcomed so widely throughout China before 1999. More than 100 million people were following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their cultivation. This is also the fundamental reason why after the Chinese Communist Party used its entire propaganda machine to slander and attack Falun Gong, and used their dictatorial apparatus and the cruelest methods of persecution, they were still unable to eliminate Falun Gong. Falun Gong has now spread to 114 countries and regions, and Dafa books have been translated into more than 30 languages.
