(Clearwisdom.net) On August 28 and 29, Falun Gong practitioners from the Bay Area around San Francisco participated in a local event in Oakland. Many people learned the truth about Falun Gong at the practitioners' booth, and some Chinese people quit the Chinese Communist Party.

More than one hundred thousand people attended the event. Many people came to the practitioners' booth and took informational materials. Many others expressed their support of Falun Gong. A local columnist told practitioners that he often saw Falun Gong activities in Oakland, San Francisco, and other cities, and liked practitioners' performances at parades. He knew about the persecution and supports practitioners' efforts to end it.
