(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Yunchao, a resident of Wuhan City, Hubei Province, has been tortured and is near death in Fanjiatai Prison, Shayang, Hubei Province. 610 Office agents in the Jiang'an District of Wuhan told Mr. Liu's family that they would not release him even if he died in prison.
Upon learning that Liu Yunchao was in a critical condition, family members went to Fanjiatai Prison on Saturday, August 8, 2010. Wardens Xiao, Chen, and a few others had a meeting with the family in which the wardens deceptively made the family sign papers consenting to pay all Mr. Liu's hospital and medical fees and to allow the whole process to be videotaped. The wardens also required that only after the 610 Offices in both Huangshi and Wuhan had signed could Liu Yunchao be sent to a hospital in Wuhan.
On Monday, August 30, 2010, Mr. Liu's family went to the 610 Office in Jiang'an to acquire a signature to get him back. The agents first said that they did not care if Mr. Liu died in the prison and they were not interested in helping to get him out. Then they said they had to send someone from their office to double-check with Fanjiatai Prison. After the family had urged them many times, the agents finally agreed to send someone over on Wednesday, September 1.
Fanjiatai Prison demanded that the family pay all Mr. Liu's expenses in the prison and for the trip to Wuhan, and that he could only be sent to a hospital but would not be provided with medical treatment at home. In the evening the next day, the prison called the Lius on the phone, asking them to bring doctors and an ambulance to the prison to pick up Mr. Liu immediately because he was near death. However, on Friday, the very next day, the prison officials changed their minds and did not allow the family to take Mr. Liu to the hospital.
Afraid that facts about the persecution would be made public, the prison threatened Mr. Liu's family, telling them not to have any contact with other Falun Dafa practitioners and not to tell anyone about Liu Yunchao. His family is very worried about Mr. Liu, but they can do nothing but wait. Fanjiatai Prison, Huangshi 610 Office, and the Wuhan 610 Office are directly responsible for the persecution of Mr. Liu Yunchao.
