(Clearwisdom.net) A couple introduced Falun Gong to me in 1996, while we were traveling on a train from Chengdu City to Beijing. Seeing Master's image, I felt very happy. After I returned home, I went to my local assistance center to attend the nine-day lecture class, and became a Falun Gong practitioner myself.
At that time, although I was only fifty years old, I suffered from many diseases, which brought me immense physical and mental pain. After attending the nine-day lecture class, I persisted in practicing cultivation at home. Within just one month, all my diseases, including coronary heart disease, laryngitis, and sciatica, disappeared. I attended both the Fa-study group and the exercise group every day, and also spread the Fa to rural areas along with fellow practitioners.
Eliminating the Evil with Righteous Thoughts
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution on July 20, 1999. I didn't acknowledge it and completely negated everything of the old forces. I kept on studying the Fa and doing the exercises every day, and I followed Master's requirements to send forth righteous thoughts on the hour. Through studying the Fa, I enlightened that we must completely stop the persecution and let more sentient beings know the truth about Falun Gong. Every day, I went out to distribute truth-clarifying materials. I was twice arrested while distributing materials, but because I firmly believed in Dafa and had righteous thoughts and righteous actions, I finally completely negated the old force's persecution with the help of Master's compassionate care.
During the Olympics in 2008, six officials from the 610 Office came to my home. Thinking that it was a good opportunity to clarify the truth to them, I opened the door and asked them to sit down in my room. I then began clarifying the truth to them. Master said,
"Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in spring
Righteous thoughts can save the people in this world"

With compassion in my heart, I told them, "Falun Gong practitioners are all good people who discipline themselves with 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.' Practicing Falun Gong benefits both the nation and the people. Practitioners never do anything that harms peoples' interests. You should not persecute these good people." I talked for about fifteen minutes. Then they said, "We came here to visit you. We won't persecute you. Now we need to leave." I said, "You should remember 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good' and 'Falun Dafa is good.'" They replied, "We understand."
In early 2009, I was reported while distributing Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party on a street. That night, officials from the 610 Office came to arrest me. I thought at the moment, "I didn't study the Fa enough, and have loopholes, but I don't acknowledge the persecution by the old forces at all." During the two-hour trial, I didn't cooperate with them at all. They had to release me on the spot.
Clarifying the Truth and Seizing the Time to Save Sentient Beings
Master said in "Fa Teaching Given at the Epoch Times Meeting,"
"Before the time of Fa rectifying the human world you must save more people, and allow more of the world's people to remain. In the process of clarifying the truth, validating the Fa, and saving sentient beings you are enabling people to survive the great catastrophe, and only this portion of the human race will be worthy of seeing, during the stage of Fa's rectification of the human world, the true picture of the cosmos and all that has occurred since the world's creation. Only after that will I commence Fa-rectification of the human world."
Dafa disciples shoulder important historical missions. We should study the Fa and cultivate ourselves well. At the same time, we should also fulfill the mission of saving sentient beings. In order to cooperate well with the whole body in doing the three things, I worked from my strengths and went out to clarify the truth face to face every day.
On one occasion, I went to clarify the truth in a village and happened to see a wedding ceremony. Several hundred people were there and I was wondering how to explain the truth well and not to disturb their ceremony at the same time. Someone then announced that the village Party secretary had arrived. I looked for the secretary. I started talking from the standpoint of ordinary daily events and family life, and then transferred the topic to Falun Gong. Like many Chinese people the secretary had listened to the slander and lies put out by the CCP media, so he had questions. He asked about the staged self-immolation in Tiananmen Square, and I told him the truth about the persecution in detail, starting from the peaceful appeal on April 25 to the self-immolation incident. As we were talking, the head of the village also joined in, thus quite a few people came over to listen to me. After learning the truth, the village Party secretary quit the Chinese Communist Party then and there, along with another two of his family members. The village head also quit the CCP together with his nine family members. Twenty-eight villagers also quit the CCP. I gave truth-clarifying materials to all of them before I left.
Another time, I encountered a man in his forties in a park. He was very outgoing and curious, so I began talking frankly about Falun Gong. He then brought out his employee's card and showed it to me, saying, "I am a policeman. Aren't you afraid that I will arrest you?" I said, "I don't fear because you clearly understand that Falun Gong practitioners are all good people, but are suffering persecution. Today, I'm using Master's Dafa to save you. It is to bring you a bright future." He said, "I understand. Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. I won't arrest you. Right now I am a head in a police station. Before that, I worked in a 610 Office and I persecuted practitioners. But I was tricked by the CCP into doing this. Some practitioners mailed informational materials to me, and some wrote letters to me. I felt very grateful after reading them. I have a relative in America who works as a professor and also practices Falun Gong. He often calls me, telling me that Falun Gong is practiced all around the world and that practitioners are the best people, and he urged me not to persecute practitioners. After that, I initiated the required paperwork to transfer out of the 610 Office. I have recently been thinking about how to repent for my evil deeds. Then I met you today, and you explained the facts very clearly and touchingly. I think that it is an opportunity that Falun Dafa grants to me! Now, please help me quit the CCP." I gave him some materials, including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and he was very happy. Before parting, he left his phone numbers with me, saying that he also wanted to read the precious book, Zhuan Falun. I immediately brought him a book after I returned home. Afterwards, he called me, telling me that his father started practicing Falun Gong as well, and that he appreciated Master very much for giving his family this sacred opportunity.
I have recently been studying Master's new lecture "Be More Diligent." I enlightened to the importance of cultivating ourselves well and cooperating with the whole body to do the three things well. Moreover, I enlightened that it is very important to study the Fa well and seize the time to save sentient beings and walk well on the final path.
