(Clearwisdom.net) Ever since I began practicing Falun Gong twelve years ago I have experienced wondrous things, and my family and friends have also benefited tremendously from my cultivation. Below I would like to share stories that show the wonders of Falun Dafa.
My Husband Recovered from His Late-Stage Liver Cancer just Six Months into His Practice of Falun Gong
I heard of Falun Gong for the first time in the spring of 1998, when my husband was hospitalized with late-stage liver cancer. At that time I also suffered from numerous health problems, including a heart condition, high blood pressure, chronic gastritis and chronic pharyngitis. I was willing to try anything that could alleviate my symptoms.
When one of my colleagues told me that Falun Gong had extraordinary healing effects, I went to a practice site close to my workplace to find out more. A young man there asked me why I was interested in the practice. I told him that I wanted to find a cure for my husband and me. He showed me how to do the exercises and gave me a copy of Zhuan Falun. Before I left, he advised me repeatedly to spend time reading the book every day, since the cultivation of Falun Gong is not only about exercises, but more importantly, about improving xinxing.
I was initially very anxious to have my health problems removed, so I only practiced the exercises as much as I could, but rarely read the book. Even so, I was surprised to find in just a few days that I no longer had dizziness or an upset stomach. It was truly unbelievable! Falun Dafa revealed its grandeur to me even before I was committed to the practice. I urged my husband to take up the practice. He agreed to give it a try, even though he still had doubts.
About six months later, the hospitals' chief of staff came to my husband's ward with a stack of lab reports in his hand, saying, "It's truly a miracle! This is the very first time I have witnessed a patient with such a late stage cancer having everything return to normal in such a short time. You can be discharged today!" When he learned of my husband's Falun Gong practice, he urged him to continue with the practice at home.
My Husband Died after Giving up Cultivation under Pressure
When I returned home from a tour on July 22, 1999 my husband told me, "The government just started attacking Falun Gong. Many practitioners have been arrested. The police came here looking for you and demand that you stop the practice." I wasn't worried and simply smiled at him. The next day I returned work. My supervisor urged me to give up the practice, to which I replied with a firm "no." The local police came to talk to me that night.
As the state-run newspapers, radio and TV stations spread more and more rumors and fabrications, I became very confused and didn't know what to do. Under the mounting pressure, my husband gave up his cultivation and soon had a cancer relapse.
While taking care of my husband in the hospital, I asked myself numerous "whys." "Is Falun Gong really as depicted by the media?" "Then, how come I experienced so many wonderful improvements in my cultivation? Moreover, Zhuan Falun made it clear that practitioners are to be considerate of others and be kind to their families and everyone else. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the principles we should follow in judging good and bad. All these teachings can only be good for mankind!"
Reflecting on the joy of our cultivation in the past, I couldn't help but ask myself, "Do you understand the meaning and value of life's existence?" At that moment, I felt extreme tranquility; a voice suddenly emerged from the bottom of my heart, "I must practice Falun Gong!" From that point on, my life truly melded into Dafa.
My husband died shortly after, in 2002. I was arrested and sent to the local brainwashing center.
I Received Blessings from My Cultivation
With my firm belief in Dafa, and under Master's compassionate protection, I was released two months after my incarceration at the brainwashing center.
The local authorities pressured my workplace to demote me from a manager to a salesperson. I required myself to follow the Dafa teachings in dealing with potential customers. Since I treated everyone with kindness, tolerance and compassion, I soon earned their trust and achieved outstanding sales performance. My company's CEO showered me with praise at numerous meetings. When my colleagues eagerly asked me to share the secrets of my success, I told them it all came from my practice of Falun Gong, which brought me endless blessings.
Traumatized by my husband's death and my subsequent imprisonment, our son experienced a sharp decline in his academic performance. He failed to get into a good university and felt inferior to other people. I knew only Dafa could unlock his potential. In the next few years, I often spoke with him about the teachings of Falun Gong. He became more and more confident and gained a new outlook on life. Recently he was accepted into a top university in a foreign country. Better yet, he also began practicing Falun Gong.
My Good Friend and Her Son Are Saved after Finally Understanding the Truth
One of my good friends had a deep misunderstanding of Falun Gong, due to state-run media
fabrications. She teased me every time I explained the facts to her saying, "You are a smart person. How can you make such a mistake?" Her request that I no longer speak about Falun Gong did not deter me. Instead, I hoped in my heart that one day she could understand the truth.
At noon one October day in 2009 she called me, asking me to rush to the hospital. When I got there her son was in bed, highly emotional. He had been involved in a car accident the day before. The doctors recommended amputation of one of his legs. I said to my friend and her son, "Falun Gong has great healing effects. Do you want to give it a try?" Mother and son answered, "Yes we do!" I asked them to follow me and recite, "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!"
The next night I received a call from the young man who told me excitedly that an incredible thing happened! The muscles of his injured leg suddenly showed signs of recovering, and his doctors no longer considered amputation necessary.
I asked him, "Do you need any other help from me?" He said, "Auntie, please bring me some Falun Gong books and help me withdraw from the CCP's Youth League."
When I visited him in the hospital again, his mom held my hands and thanked me repeatedly, "Thank you! Falun Gong is truly wonderful! I will share my son's experience with other people so they can also benefit!"
I hope my cultivation stories can help more people realize the truth of Falun Gong. May the wonders of Dafa stay in the mind of every kind-hearted person. Please remember that Falun Dafa is good, and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.
